I came here looking for vinyls for my collection and I found this place from TikTok. This shop is very big and they have such a wide selection. Everything is organized by genre as well as a new arrivals section and bargain section. They have used music books as well. They probably have any vinyl that you are looking for. If it's in good condition it will probably be priced $30 and up. This place is a bit pricey and some newer items you can find at retail stores for cheaper are overpriced here. read more

This is the best record store I've been to. Every time I travel, I try to go record shopping. No matter what, I'm usually disappointed that they aren't as good as CD Cellar. They have tons of vinyls with a vast selection ranging from modern to Jazz to world music. If you don't see the vinyl there, the employees are always willing to track down a copy for you. I've been shopping with them for over 15 years and they are so passionate about their store. They know what they're talking about when they're helping me. The prices are also pretty good. It just depends what you're after. Obviously if you're going after rare records, you're going to have a price to go with it. BUT they also have $3 and under sections in most genres. CD Cellar is a one stop shop for music, movies, and some music-related memorabilia. But I usually come here for one thing: vinyl. I've spent many an afternoon browsing through the thousands of records, looking for a hidden gem. You can't browse everything in a single visit because the selection is huge. A lot of it is brand new releases or sealed copies of older records. Truthfully, it's a bit difficult for me to reach all the way back of the stacks because I'm pretty short. But thankfully, the eclectic bargain bins are on the floor, and those always have lots of great selections. There is also a whole room dedicated to jazz. It's incredibly serene to step into. This place is amazing. The stores name belies their focus which is vinyl. They easily have thousands of records An entire section of the store is dedicated to classical and jazz. I collect vinyl soundtracks and was really impressed by the number they had which in other stores is usually an afterthought. I walked out with over a hundred dollars in vinyl and could have easily spent much more. I also wanted to note that the staff are super helpful and professional. Pro-Tip: the aprons leading into the shopping center where the shop is located are super steep and you will bottom out your car if you're not careful. read more

Since I moved to the DMV, I have been looking for a media store that sells movies, CDs, vinyls or other media. I am so happy to have come across this store where I can trade or sell movies. While most of the people that hop in there are looking for music, I am usually in there looking for blu rays and 4K blu ray movies. They have a decent section in the store for movies especially blu-rays & DVDs. Since then I have increased my movie collection since I moved here to the DMV. Give yourself enough time because there is soooo much to look through. They have a great selection, but some things can be a bit pricey. They do have a vast discount section though, and that's where you can find some real gems. I found an unopened box set that contained 5 records for $27. Not too shabby. The guy at the counter also thanked me for making more room on the shelves so he could put more out! I said I was pleased to do my part. That brings me to the only con. Shelves are stacked so thick with vinyl that you can barely move one. But honestly, I'd rather go to a place with too much stock than not enough. read more

This is a great shop! I'm recreating the vinyl collection of my youth and I've found almost everything I need here. Although I can't do it all in a month I will get there with their help. Everything I've seen is reasonably priced and everything I've purchased has been good quality. I've been going to the CD Cellar since they opened up. I own about 800 vinyl records dating back to 1964 and The Beatles. I have focused my buying on used CDs. There are tremendous finds in the $1.99 bin, $3.99 for double records. In the regular bins most CDs are priced at $9.99 and below. I have about 1500 CDs including collecting most of my vinyls on CD. Without the CD Cellar I would probably own 200 maybe. The store is large and the aisles are well spaced. Masks are required. I can only say I feel safe there and I'm high risk at 70+ years of age. 5 Stars! read more

Was flipping through the 'new arrivals' section, spotted a disc that has been on my list for quite awhile, and pulled it out to buy. Kept flipping, and some guy runs up frantically, and starts saying something in Japanse to me. The store clerk comes up and removes the record from my hand, and says 'he had it first' and they run off. WTF! I've always understood the etiquette to be, if it's in your hand, its yours. I loved this place. I was in town for 2 days and I shot over to the CD Cellar for a quick look. Their vinyl selection was awesome.
