they call themselves a cleaning service, yet they don't don't how to clean a fur coat, talk to the lady in the front she assured me they had done it in the past, that I just needed to sign a waiver, go back to pick it up, my fur coat was ruin, couldn't even get my money back, I couldn't even get a sorry, all stiff like they didn't know what material it was. a suitable cleaners should know how to care for these type of materials. I was so outraged, I was shocked, ruin the fur coat completely, torn to pieces, how was it being cleaned? I had no words, suggested to me to go somewhere else to see if it can be saved some how? like why didn't you suggest that in the first place, why would this be allowed?! horrible service, don't expect quality service here, the people are rude and unprofessional, a place like this should be out of business. read more

We have used CD One for over 15 years at various locations. This franchise and franchise owner are THE WORST! I recently had an event and needed same day service. My husband and I rearranged our whole day to make sure that he could drop off the clothes I needed before 9am and I could pick up before 7pm. They advertise same day service which we have loved for the past 15 years that we have used them. When I went that night to pick up my clothes, they said they wouldn't be ready until the next day. And that if we wanted same day, we would have had to ask for it. Which has NEVER been the case. The manager wasn't in so I planned to call another day. I called a couple of weeks later to complain and the manager took a defensive posture and just said that it was on the receipt that they had put it for next day. She said that if someone notices that it's set for next day on the receipt and asks for same day they will make the adjustment but wouldn't update the receipt. I asked to speak with the franchise owner and was told she would call me between 1:30pm-4pm. I received a call at 4pm from the manager saying the franchise owner said I could call corporate if I had a problem with it. What a crappy business owner! To not even care about her client experience or even take the time to listen to her customers. Needless to say we are taking our business elsewhere. read more

They weren't sure were I wanted them hemmed. I showed them again. They said it'll take another week. I asked for my inconvenience, can you do it for free. "No" they said. Have been going here for years and ever since 2019 there has been a huge drop in service. First it was the starched shirts that I would pay extra for heavy starch that came back feeling as soft as a baby's butt, then it was buttons chipped or ripped off my dress shirts, and finally today I show up at 9:30 to find out they had moved the same day cut off to 9:00 because they were short staffed and unable to accommodate. This was communicated via a hand written sign that appeared to be completed by my 7 year old and scotch taped to register. Keep in mind I stopped in last week and there was no sign or warning of the change in service. Drove in to Glen Ellyn and was able to have Tide Dry Cleaners handle my clothes. Will never come back here again. Sick and tired of the decline in quality, rude staff, and playing russian roulette regarding my dry cleaning. read more

Staff is friendly and efficient. They're always busy but I never have to wait very long. Today I brought in a sweater that they had previously cleaned but when I went to put it on I found it had spots on it that it didn't have when I brought it in to be cleaned previously. How is a dry-cleaner worthy of 5 yelp stars? Well, CD One price gets 5 stars for multiple reasons. First, they have free Starbucks coffee available; I can't think of a better way to start my day. Second, they only charge $2.49 for ANYTHING dry cleaned. Third, I've never had to wait more than 30 seconds to drop off or pick up any of my stuff. Fourth, the staff are mega-friendly. Fifth, all of my clothes have come back spotless. Sixth, if you bring your clothes in by 10AM, they're ready by 5PM the same day. Be careful though: You have to pre-pay with cash/check. This CD One Price location is just a few blocks from my house. Whenever I have sauce-stained shirts that I know I will ruin by trying to soak or scrub out the stain, I leave it to the assembly line of service here. In by 10, out by 5 service, closed on Sundays. You might need some frickin sunglasses inside here, but it's actually kind of cool watching all the well-oiled parts of a machine work effortlessly here. We have been coming to this location for some time but and have always received excellent customer service. Only once was I dissatisfied with the ironing which they took care of. Recently, I wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side by changing to the location also on Roosevelt but further west in Glen Ellyn. Big mistake. The customer service is horrible and the last couple times I received the same girl who contributed to my dissatisfied experience. I changed because it was more convenient for me but will do the drive out of my way for this location. At least I dont frown when I leave. I would leave my review for the other location but they do not have one on Yelp. Oh and wait, I forgot the best part, its the same price for EVERYTHING $2.49, how can you beat that? Sooo, Ive never been to a CD One Price Cleaners, but word is they're awesome. Considering my local cleaner left much to be desired, I figured "Why not?" I brought my sad looking in-dire-need-of-a-cleaning peacoat in today and was helped by Valeria. She entered my info into their system and explained their policies, pricing, and hours. She was friendly and efficient - I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Mannnn, I might be hooked! $2.79 (incl. tax) for clothing items and $1.49 for oxford (button down) dress shirts cleaned + pressed? Sheyutttt. For that price I might start wearing oxfords again. Valeria noted that they don't take household items (i.e. rugs, blankets..) at this time, but they MAY be changing that soon. Good, because I have an electric blanket that's in need of a cleaning... I've been overpaying for dry cleaning for years! Excellent service! If you drop off your stuff before 9 am, you'll have it by 5pm. I took my 6 Blackhawks jerseys to the cleaners because let's face it, I'm never going to wash those pricey things in a regular washing machine (are you kidding??? For the price we paid for each of those jerseys...no flippin' way am I sticking those in a washer/dryer). I love how easy and quick the process was. Just dropped it off, prepaid and picked up at 5 pm. They did a great job and no hassle whatsoever. And I paid $13 for those 6 jerseys. Can't beat that! read more

I searched on Yelp for a one-day turn around, and CD was the place. Only $6.50 for two pairs of pants, had them in by 10 AM and got an email they were done at 1 PM! (They aim for 5 PM.) Nice, clean location, easy in and out. I drove 15 minutes from Elmhurst, but was well worth it. read more

I think I finally found a new dry cleaner! I recently took a suit and some other items in for dry cleaning, had a pair of pants hemmed and some shirts laundered. In one visit, this place earned my trust. My expensive suit was perfectly cleaned, brand new wool pants perfectly hemmed and pressed, and the shirts were flawless. I was amazed at the quick turn around on everything and the prices are unbeatable. I don't work in an occupation where I am required to dress in business attire every day, but it is nice to know I have a reputable place close to home that will handle my expensive items with care! read more

This place is ok but they are not consistent with what they take in. Last winter, I brought in a jacket, some expensive sheets and 2 blankets to be cleaned and it was all fabulous. Last week I walked in with 1 blanket and the girl immediately told me they did not clean those. I asked her when that started and she said since they opened. I've been bringing shirts here for over a year. Initially I wouldn't really care when shirts had a crease or two when I picked them up, but it seems the quality has become worse over time and is now totally unacceptable. I can iron a shirt better at home. Every shirt I just picked up - some laundered and two were dry cleaned had creases from top to bottom on the front. I asked the clerk if there's someone I can call and he couldn't even give me a managers name. Yes they have lowest prices but the quality is not worth the savings. It's too bad that places like this end up putting quality cleaners out of business and then we'll have no choice. I'm happy to pay higher prices and get decent cleaning. Your Lombard location is horrible. We put in several pieces at one time, and had to take all of them back. Even the second time, nothing was improved. Your stores cannot handle linen clothes. Now, I also find that one of my white jackets (not linen fabric) is dirtier than when my husband took it in. I want my money back. Your stores are worthless. read more
