I come here very seldom but when I do, the owners are helpful and are the sweetest people ever!! I never had an issue here, I'm in and I'm out! It's a good location-right on Roosevelt Rd. near Trader Joe's and Starbucks which makes waiting easier. I always come to wash my comforter(s), since the washer I have at home is too small. Some of their washers and dryers are big enough to fit both at once which cuts down my time being there. The biggest dryer dries both of my queen size comforters within 45 minutes. I paid $6 for the washer and a little less than $2 for the dryer (it's .25 cents for 6 minutes I believe). Detergent and softener there is $1 each. read more

They did construction, removing all ceiling panels, first that should never happen with customers inside. Exposed us all to possible asbestos and other potential health hazards. Little regard for the customers health. My eyes and throat are irritated. Shame on them. The place was full of dust we were all breathing. No, a laundry business should never remove ceiling tiles with customers directly underneath. Removing tiles generates significant airborne dust, debris, and potential health hazards (like asbestos, mold, or old insulation). I'm so sad to write this review. For years I have brought my large rugs here to be washed. I foster dogs and so I need them cleaned every couple months. Today I got a call that the price had been increased and when I questioned it, I was told to come and get my rug. I have heard other people have had problems with the owners here, but I personally had always had a great experience. I am so very disappointed. It wasn't just a little increase, it was over 30%. I understand everything is costing a little more today, but I did feel that was extreme. I also feel as a customer we have a right to question and voice our complaint/concern, but apparently not here. **The owners reply if full of false statements: I did not raise my voice or get upset with the clerk that called me. So I was surprised when she called me back and said the owner would like me to come get my rug. *I did not brow beat the employee, I was nice to her, I asked her when this was increased because I come all the time. I came right away to get my rug. Had there been some offer to work with the price discrepancy I would still be a customer today. *I never said it was price gouging, I have a right to be upset with a huge increase. I then agreed to do it this time but was not sure if I'd be back. * The owner is the one who said I should come get it because he was not comfortable completing the job. Let me start off by saying that generally speaking have been a loyal patron of this business for some 15 years. My major reason for writing this here review is maybe can get the folks at WHEATON SUPER WASH LAUNDRY to do something about their laundry personnel (for better lack of words) and how he chooses to interact with (both potential and) actual laundromat customers. Before going further I may very well visit this laundromat during late morning to actually visit staff so can show cellphone photos that YELP might not allow to be posted. The central theme of this review might revolve around a hypothetical statement as such: " Hello Sir, my name is Jon Doe, and I work here. I am just wanting to let you know that last was typically is no later than 8:30pm, yet if you feel that you may be able to finish by ten o' clock pm, there should be no problems; have a good day. For good measure also, hypothetically displaying a name badge and or PRESENTABLE attire and or store 'garb' that says ' Wheaton Super Wash Laundry'. Instead, I was confronted by an individual who just confronted me in an accusational manner stipulating how it was after 8:30pm and you cant start your laundry endeavors. After a little back and forth and threats to call the police as well I pointing to the fact that there had been individuals who were starting their laundry tasks while I was interacting with this laundry staff. I would like to state that it was ONLY after seeing this individual with a yellow mop bucket and mop as he was (half heartedly) mopping the floor that I surmised that this individual worked here and that at that point I was going to write this here review. Before closing I would like to make a couple points that I do hope the store management owners will address. First off, as an important FYI, the actual time I attempted to start my laundry was 8:34pm. Secondly, this individual had no problems allowing other individuals to start their laundry tasks thereafter. Thirdly, as alluded to in previous paragraph, I was a bit defensive at first for there was this ill-mannered (for better lack of words) man in lethargic looking jacket, headphones/IPad, grungy ripped sweatpants and shoes that looked like they were about to fall apart. I do not know about you readers yet FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVERYTHING! For all I knew, initially, this was here a homeless or destitute individual going about trying to solicit change from laundromat customers. It is again my hope that someone looks into this matter. Oh lest I forget in a LOL moment, despite having started my laundry endeavors at 8:35pm, I finished my laundry tasks (both wash and 30 minute dry cycle at 9:30pm...well before 10pm closing time. read more

Great experience! Very friendly and helpful. Needed to wash a large comforter that was too big for our home washer. They have a super load machine that worked great (25 minutes). The quarter machine takes $1s, $5s, $10s, and $20s. Regular loads are $2.50-$3.50 and super load $7. Quarters only in machines, no cards. Detergent, Oxi, fabric softener available for $1 each. Dryers are 25 cents/6 min. Highly recommend! read more

I have never in my life been to a laundromat, and so when my delinquent old cat peed on my brand new comforter (which was too puffy/large for my own washer), I needed to find a laundromat asap! Thanks to Yelp, I found Wheaton Super Wash. First, I called ahead to make sure they had washers large enough, and they did. He told me how much it might cost me, so I was able to grab enough quarters on my way. I do believe they have a coin machine there, in case you only have bills. As soon as I walked in, the owner knew I was the one who called. He came up to me, grabbed my basket 'o' comforter and walked me over to the industrial-sized washers. He shoved my pee-pee mattress into one of the large washers. Hey...I tried to warn him about the wet urine spot, but he didn't care. He took my roll of quarters, put the correct amount, and gave me back the rest. What service!! Such a kind man. His adorable, smiley wife even came by and said, "You are the one that called!!" They were the most helpful, sweet people I think I have ever met. After reading a book for a bit, I pulled out the comforter and put it in a dryer all by myself. ;) There was a snack machine, coffee machine and nice orchestral music playing. What an unexpectedly pleasant laundromat. And here my husband was a little worried about me going alone!! What made the experience even better was that it was the 8/21/17 (eclipse day), and a patron of the laundromat brought a pair of the eclipse protective glasses and let all of us see the eclipse just as it was covering half the sun. I never thought I'd be so happy that my cat peed urinated on my belongings. If he hadn't, I would not have seen the eclipse. I'd have given him a treat if it weren't for his bad behavior. The owners were outside for a bit with some patron, looking at the sky. The wife kept saying how blessed we were to be able to see it. Later on she called me "young girl." Thanks, sweet lady!!! At 39, it's always nice to be called young girl. ;) If my cat decides to unload his "troubles" on my bed again, I will be sure to come back. read more

Clean, nonsense laundromat! It's a little older location, but they have plenty of machines both commercial and standard. They have laundry carts available for your convenience and wall dispensers with any detergent/fabric softener needs. Will return again to use their commercial washer/dryer to clean my comforter. read more

--DON'T get your pants hemmed here---- I came in with two pairs of designer jeans I needed to have hemmed. The wife/owner helped measure me and everything looked good. I came back later in the week to pick up the pants And noticed they were a little too short. When I returned to the store the original wife had become very defensive and was making a joke about me just for having asked to modify the pants. Ive had laundromat experiences that ruined me for life. This one completely changed my mind. After years of swearing I never would use one again, it finally came time for me to bite the bullet. Very clean environment including washers and dryers (which was huge for me). I was able to get in do 4 loads and leave in 1.5 hours. The manager/ owner was very friendly and was very attentive to all machines throughout my visit. There are live plants all over which I think is a lovely and welcoming touch. Plenty of space for you to sit and fold in privacy so not everyone can see your giant collection of undergarments. Fair prices for all machines which they have LOADS of.. haha get it!!? I was looking for a laundromat because we were staying in Illinois for a week and hotel laundry is expensive. I used Yelp to search any places for laundromats around Bolingbrook, where we were staying, and could not find any place with good reviews. I did another search to see if any were 30 minutes away and a few popped up. Some had great ones, others did not, some had great ones with higher price points of $8-$10 per wash load. I didn't have a very large load and needed to do a very small whites load and medium to large colored load. I saw that this place had good reviews and so I drove over there to check it out. The drive there was nice and luckily only a 25 minute drive. First of all the owner is sooooooooo nice!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough!! As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me and asked if I needed help with anything. I told him I needed to do some laundry and he kindly showed me how to work the machines, find the soap, and answered any questions I had. He also told me which ones were not working at the moment. He also chit chatted with me and asked where I was coming from since he noticed the suitcase I was rolling around. I also noticed he had a few regulars and greeted everyone with a smile and asked if they needed anything. A+++ for customer service!! For Washing large loads it's $3.50, such a good price! And smaller loads are $1.50! I was expecting at least $5. And if you forgot any detergent, softener, drying sheets or laundry bags or just need one like me since I was traveling it's only $0.75. The wash took only about 25 minutes estimate and the dryers charge $0.25 for 9 minutes. This place also does dry cleaning, can do your laundry for you - I saw $1.20 per pound, and alterations. So great price points over all!! And the clothes came out nice and clean. I want to say all the washing machines are high efficiency but unsure. The owner is such a sweet person that I wanted to cry!! He was busy trying to fix the washing machines that had leaks but checked on customers, asked if I need any hangers, or needed a cold drink. He even carried my sutcsse full of folded clothes to the car. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for finding this place and meeting such a kind and wonderful person. This laundromat is well kept, clean, has Christian music playing, has drinks, has a really good price point, and has wonderful customer service. I highly recommend! read more
