My locked in lender was waiting for a little more of a federal drop. I was told by my agent she liked looking cal lenders in town and this was a friend and they could help. I was excited Yes I did get 5.99. BUT unlike my existing lender I wasn't advised they were running a hard credit check. Also my existing lender loaned almost two tine as much as they did. Plus I was told right away that my loan would be sold. I hadn't dismissed my existing lender. And although my score is high it only dropped a few points but I thought all ran a soft credit, until I really signed on the dotted line. It all worked out fine. My existing lender gave me a 4.99 rate. My agent and Pike were just too quick moving like I was a number and what they offered would only benefit them.

This is not the way it should work. It should be the insured's option to continue the policy after the policy expires, not to be obligated to catch it and cancel a term policy. Fortunately, we caught it after one increased premium debited to our checking account, but it was frustrating and time consuming to try to correct this mistake online or on the phone with Transamerica's corporate office. Then I called Mr. Smalls from Estate Planning of Delaware Valley, figuring the local agent would know how to get an appropriate response from the corporate office. He jumped right on it and called me the next day to tell me our refund was on its way. The problem here is with the particular insurer's business practice, not its agent, Mr. Smalls, who was very ready to be as helpful as possible. Mr. Smalls was very professional with me.

He apparently does not listen and is only concerned with his financial well being. We had several conversations with Mr Smalls to end our current policy at term expiration of 10 years on 9/30/18. The premiums were due to jump 7+ to 10+ times. Unless one was terminally ill and uninsurable or not in a solid mental state no one would continue with policy. As a supposed professional it was Mr Smalls OBLIGATION to provide us with the necessary documentation to properly terminate which he FAILED to do. As we had preauthorized withdrawals versus being billed monthly by Transamerica the funds continued to be siphoned from our account which we did not catch for 4 months. The agent screwed up but tried blaming a novice policyholder. How are we supposed to know what documentation required-Mr Smalls do you not hold yourself as a professional? This agent leaves very much to be desired. A total disgrace!!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!
