Dr. Cecilio Po is fantastic! This was my second visit for Botox, and once again I had a great experience. I was nervous about trying Botox again because my first experience elsewhere was negative, but after speaking with Dr. Cecilio, I felt comfortable giving it another try. He explained everything clearly and helped identify the areas that truly needed treatment instead of overdoing it. He is extremely gentle, precise, and clearly very experienced. He focuses on natural-looking results, which I really appreciated. I also had a full-body fractional laser treatment to address fine wrinkles and sun damage. After only three weeks, my skin already looks smoother, brighter, and healthier, and my sunspots have faded significantly. I recently had to change dentists, so a friend recommended GPC Dental. I called to confirm they took my insurance and scheduled an appointment. Their receptionist was super friendly and their hours are pretty convenient. I also got text alerts about my appointment which is pretty cool (but you can easily stop the messages if you're not into that). At the office, the whole staff again were friendly and after filling out the normal paperwork, the dental hygienist, Sheryl greeted me and took me in with no wait. Sheryl asked me a few questions about my dental history and then proceeded with the cleaning. She made me feel comfortable because not only was she accommodating but she thoroughly explained everything she was doing. There is also a TV for you to enjoy as you are getting your work done. I was then seen by Dr. Po. Just like the rest of the staff I met, he too was also very personable. Dr. Po thoroughly went over the X-rays Sheryl previously took of me (they put the images on the TV). This is when Dr. Po noticed some wear on my teeth and a chip in one of my molars. About a week prior, I had a headache in the morning and felt like something in between my teeth. At that time, I didn't put 2 and 2 together but Dr. Po could tell I was grinding my teeth at night. Dr. Po recommended filling the chip and a night guard mouth piece. After confirming the cost with the office staff, Dr. Po fitted me for the guard. The receptionist scheduled me for an appointment about a week later for the filling and to pick up the guard. Dr. Po is the first dentist I've ever been to who had a friendly, warm chairside manner, spoke to me honestly and realistically about what was happening with my teeth, and did a filling where I felt NOTHING! I could have fallen asleep in the chair. Since my husband and I have been going to Dr Po for more than 3 years, I recently brought my 2.5 year old to Dr Po's office for her first visit ever. I was super nervous because she has never really taken to doctors and brushing her teeth is an absolute nightmare for me. But Sheryl is a wonderfully warm and gentle hygienist who took her time to be a little bit silly with my daughter, who almost instantly relaxed and let Sheryl clean her teeth without any issue. Dr. Po was equally warm and friendly with her, and I couldn't believe it when she opened her mouth right up so he could look at her teeth. He also took the time to answer all my questions about home care and things to watch for. We will definitely be back in six months for her next cleaning (and mine!). While our pediatrician did recommend a pediatric dentist as opposed to a dentist who also treats children - just based on my baby's discomfort level with doctors - I'm glad I went with my gut and took her to Dr. Po and Sheryl. Another great visit with Dr Po! Was visiting my parents when I had a horrendous toothache come on. Luckily, Dr Po was able to fit me into his Saturday schedule. Turns out part of a cavity had fallen out and he was able to patch me up. Again, great professional office and wonderful bedside manner. He was even able to update my actual dentist in Arizona with what work he did and send off my records as well. Glad my parents have a dentist that is flexible and able to work with their crazy schedules. And also able to be thorough in explaining the plan of care and helping them navigate their insurance as well. read more

Dr. Po and his staff are phenomenal. Every visit -- from the phone call to schedule the appointment to arriving day of the visit -- I always feel so welcomed by everyone. The clinic is VERY nice and clean, you can tell they put a lot of work in maintaining their space well. But, the care provided by all of the staff is what will keep me coming back to them forever. Maribeth and her front office staff are great - so informative, very patient, and always willing to answer any questions they can. Their interactions and assistance are always so pleasant. I have sadly felt rushed and unwelcome by many front office staff members at other practices (dentists or other) so this is something I truly appreciate and value. Sheryl is such a wonderful hygienist. She makes sure you are completely comfortable before she starts any of her work, and she is so gentle yet very efficient. Throughout her care, she explains what she will be doing or using so there are never surprises or guessing. She continues to make sure I am doing well throughout her treatment. She's very intelligent and really knows her craft, and she is always patient enough to explain anything I might be unsure of. She offers a lot of tips that I feel the majority of the general public aren't aware of. And finally, Dr. Po and Kathy. Wonderful care. Dr. Po will go above and beyond for his patients and I can see his staff following in those foot steps. I think it's a pretty common thing to be anxious about dental work and anesthesia -- I certainly was, but I no longer am now. Dr. Po and his assistant Kathy are so careful in making sure their parents are as comfortable as they possibly can be from start to end of treatment. They are able to get the work done efficiently and they do such QUALITY work. (Not to mention, every bit of equipment at GPC Dental seems to be top quality. TVs included.) I used to go to get dental work at other practices and really never know what kind of work I was getting done, as staff never really took the time to offer me any information and did not give me clear answers to any questions I had. Dr. Po and is staff are willing to answer questions as best as they can. They seem to make a big effort in making sure their patients do not leave the practice feeling puzzled. The entire team does what they can to make sure their patients are well taken care of, and that includes giving us a great understanding of our overall treatment and care. I have been living in California for about 2 years but I still go to GPC Dental first and foremost. Fortunately, I visit New Jersey often enough to continue getting my dental care at GPC Dental. Every visit to Dr. Po's office is always pleasurable. My last visit I has a filling replaced and didn't feel a thing. He made me very comfortable and always aware of what was going on. My name is Craig Lynch. It is so great going to a dentist that cares so much and causes no pain. the way he puts the needle in you barely feel it and it does not hurt. He puts enough Novocain in that you never feel a thing the entire time he is drilling. He replaced three old fillings that were so large I feel any other dentist would have cracked the teeth causing me to buy caps. He did this by taking his time, being so skillful, and caring. I will say he is a great person and a doctor but they clearly do not understand how insurance plans work especially one of the major NJ insurers (which they should understand since they are a NJ provider.) They gave me a bad estimate of my financial responsibility and then later presented me with a large -surprise- invoice. When I called the doctor to discuss he danced around the issue and took no accountability. Not a good customer experience at all. If you're looking to pay cash by all means go, but for the majority who use insurance, you've been warned. read more

Yesterday I had an appointment for a root canal and crown with Dr.Po. I, like most do not enjoy dental appointments. The anxiety of the needles, the sound of the drill. No picnic! To my relief and delight, I didn't even feel him administer the anesthesia. As he began the procedure and had the opportunity to look closer at my tooth rather than relying solely on the x-rays, he determined that contrary to what could have been interpreted from the x-rays, I did not need a root canal. Please keep in mind I arrived at that appointment expecting and prepared to pay for a root canal and crown. By Dr. Po carefully examining the tooth, assessing the best course of action and then changing the treatment plan, he saved me a significant amount of money while depriving himself that significant amount of money. Integrity,honesty and an amazing Dentist. Impressive! Although Dr.Po is the star of the show, the rest of his team certainly doesn't pale. Kathy, Dr.Po's dental assistant is pleasant and as efficient as they come. Meghan and Edwin are both helpful and accommodating beyond words.The Hygienist, in my previous appointment, was very thorough and took the time to explain exactly what she was doing and shared helpful suggestions. Switching our Dentist to Dr.Po and his team is one of the best decisions I've made for my Family. Without hesitation, I'm recommending this practice to family, friends and business associates. I love Dr. Po and his amazing staff! It had been many years since I visited the dentist and after much procrastination, I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment. I was able to schedule conveniently on a weeknight after work. Mainly, I chose Dr. Po because he's in the neighborhood, but I also trusted the positive reviews as a good sign. The good reviews are all correct, it's a fantastic dentist office! So I went in over year ago for an introductory teeth cleaning and exam. The cleaning went well and the exam from Dr. Po seemed OK until he started with recommendations for extra work on my teeth I did not feel I needed. I actually had a crown that had fallen out one week earlier which I asked if he would be able to re-cement. He stated it was impossible, I needed a new crown and work on the tooth which could be done for under $1800. I left the office, found a new local dentist who re-cemented the tooth for $50 and today it still holds strong. I would not go back to Dr. Po as I feel he is untrustworthy. read more

I came in for a standard cleaning and was told "hey you may need a mouth guard, it looks like you grind your teeth." I had heard of people grinding their teeth but didn't know of the potential dangers that came along with it. Doctor Po explained to me in simple terms what kind of short term and long term damage this can do to my teeth. He fitted me right away for a mouth guard and a week later it came in, and now I'm protecting my teeth from being grinded down to nothing! I should also add that the young lady who does the cleaning, sheryl I think is her name, is phenomenal. Soft hands and I don't feel a thing. She always had a positive attitude towards me and encourages me to continue to keep my mouth clean and in shape and also educates me on things I can work on. The front desk staff as well is the best I've ever dealt with at any doctors office! So nice and pleasant and informative, and the system they have in place to schedule you and remind you of your appointments is great, they're moving in the "new age" direction of technology which makes the whole process so much easier and comfortable. I've been going to Dr. Po since he first started his practice in Cedar Grove. Before then, I considered my teeth and gums as generally healthy, but since switching to Dr. Po, they feel even healthier and cleaner. The procedures he and his staff have performed have all been quick and painless. Dr. Po always explains the process, and we review my X-rays and digital images so I understand what will be done and why. Before performing any procedures, he goes over what costs will be covered by my insurance, and what I'll need to pay out-of-pocket. My insurance is pretty comprehensive, so it's usually not much. Holy Cow! This 'professional' is an emotional cripple. As I was a paying patient, he became offended during my exam while I answered his questions; then he claimed he couldn't do a root canal; then when I asked why, he said he didn't have time to answer questions (reminder - this was my PAID FOR appointment); then, he refused to discuss a payment plan for dental work. I decided to take my business elsewhere, and he REFUSED to forward my X-rays to my dentist - even when contacted directly BY that dentist! Forget the X-rays: he refused to even answer a verbal question when I visited him and politely asked him in person to identify the tooth with a cavity (all I needed was the tooth number), exclaiming "I've helped this guy enough". In a metaphorical sense, he is jumping up and down with his fists clenched whenever he does not get his way! I was totally unconfortable having to deal with this guy, and feel sorry for his staff, who have to deal with him every day! 'Voted #1 Dentist'??! By whom? His mother, perhaps. In my lifetime of seeing medical professsionals (I'm in my 50's now), I have NEVER, ever, had to deal with an individual like this.Let the buyer beware. read more

First they lie to me about the insurance coverage. they where not in network with my insurance. I went there my first visit I had a consultation from dr Po. he sounded ok. Next visit I went for cleaning that went well. next visit I went I had to pay half be cause the insurance wasn't covering all the amount. so I did. then he asked me to pay in advance for the next visit and refused to do that told them I will call my insurance to see what was going on. so I found out they where not in network. 6 months later I received a bill. I was in between moving to a new house so I ignored it . few months later I received a letter from a collection agency and they reported me to the credit bureau. I called the office for an explanation and tell them my situation and they told me that the insurance didn't cover the bill. They messed up my credit. Don't go there people. There are a lot of good dentist in the area and dr Po is not the one. that is all lying and greed. read more

Dr. Po is an exceptional dentist who made such a huge impact on my everyday life! For the last three years, I had been suffering from moderate to severe jaw, ear and neck pain on a daily basis. I visited numerous specialists and underwent multiple tests and treatments without any success or relief. Every physician or specialist I visited told me everything was normal as sent me on my way. On my first visit with Dr. Po, he listened attentively to my symptoms. He was able to pinpoint the reason for my pain and provided a solution. I can now say that I have little to no pain. Unlike other dentists, he takes the time to thoroughly educate his patients and explains any important steps of your treatment.
