Beef Brisket Sandwich with 1 Side regular Bun (texas toast was requested as the bread)

We always enjoy the food when we come here. My staple is the smoked chicken eggrolls. They are always packed full of chicken and flavor! The dictionary roll is always perfectly fried as well. My husband got the garlic, Parm wings, and they were so delicious! Easily a go to for us as well

The decor is vintage Texas-BBQ. It's set up like a traditional walk-through or cafeteria style with a tray in hand. The food is not good quality. It was sitting in plastic or under a lamp for a long time. The sides are pretty tasteless and overall it's not a culinary experience worth sharing with others. That said, f you want the vibe, they have that smoke house feeling from central Tejas.

When we're in the Downtown Orlando area, Cecil's is our go-to spot for no-frills bbq. We love the set up of the scoop-your-own sides. Our favorites are the collards, mac and cheese (it's on the lighter and creamier side - which is my preference), and of course the fried okra. The staff has always been friendly and kind whenever we go. We always get the 3 meat dinner platter, selecting ribs, beef brisket, and the hot link. Which in my opinion are the 3 best meats to get. The ribs are the best. The hot links are solid. Depending on the cut of brisket you get, it could be a hit or miss, I tend to like a little more fattier cut so the meat is more moist, leaner cuts tend to be a little dry. Although the brisket could use a little more seasoning, it tastes fine once you dip in the bbq sauce. I've had worse. The sauces and condiments are located in the middle area of seating. And there's complimentary soft serve for dine-in, which is a nice little touch. You order then pay before finding seats.

Came to Rockpit for the first time and ordered food that was brought over by Cecil's. We got the hot wings and cheese curds, pulled pork meat platter with Mac and cheese. I also tried pretzel bites on the table ordered by our friends. My meat platter came out dry with no bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese was cold (why??) and tasted like bland noodles. I went to the counter to ask what other sauces they have for pulled pork other than the ketchup on the table, the girl offered me mustard, I asked if there are literally any other sauces and she said she would go in the back and ask - she said she would bring over garlic Parmesan and the guy from the back handed her a mystery BBQ sauce. I put it on my meat and only ate a few bites. The pretzel bites were okay, nothing special about them. The wings were rubbery. My friend's grilled cheese was served soggy. I do not recommend ordering food from this location based on trying so many different items and all lacking.

We went to the brewery next door and thought it was cool it gets it for served from next door. Sadly, this food is not good. The mac and cheese was served cold. The grilled wings I received we very rubbery. The cheese curds were decent but maybe I'm just comparing to the rest of the food.

This restaurant is truly a work of art. The flavors go far beyond anything familiar -- they make you wonder, "How can they possibly create a taste like this?" The brisket here can only be described as a flavor that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world.. This is an absolute must-try.

I have passed by this place thousands of times and finally made a stop to try it out! After an evening of drinks, Cecil's satisfied my hunger. I don't know what I pictured it to be like inside but to my surprise you pick your meat/entree and then there's a self serve buffet until you greet the cashier at the end to pay for your meal! I came in probably like an hour before closing and was suprised my pulled pork was actually juicy. For my side, I did the coleslaw as it grabbed my attention more than the rest, but they had a variety from fries, mac and cheese, potato salad, beans, and more. Overall, pretty decent bbq for a decent price. There's different barbecue sauces to try from and a couple side items to add to your sandwich as well. Place had a good amount of people for almost an hour before closing. There's a good amount of seating from booth to tables to accommodate all parties as well.

3 pork ribs, potato salad, and banana pudding. 17 dollars

I went to a Yelp get together event with friends at the RockPit Brewery, and ordered food over there. The food committee from Cecil BBQ, so I will comment on the food over here. I think RockPit undercharged me for the ribs as I thought it would be 15 dollars (and they only charged me 13), but the ribs had a decent smoke flavor. The meat was not fall off the bone tender, but it was still decent and I was able to cut most of them with a plastic fork and knife. The BBQ sauce was a bit spicy, but enhanced the meat quite a bit. The potato salad was fine, and had a lot of dill in their seasoning. The banana pudding tasted a bit artificial, but it still was acceptable. The service came from RockPit brewery, since I ate there. But the food did come at a reasonable time, so kudos to Cecil's for their quickness in preparation of good food. I saw the pictures of the Cecil atmosphere, and I think I made the better choice of eating at RockPit as the atmosphere over there looks more fun and entertaining. I am glad RockPit partnered with Cecil's for the food, as I do enjoy a good BBQ with a refreshing beer. They make a good team and while Cecil's has their own building and restaurant, they do a good job catering to the RockPit customers to enjoy their delicious food. I will visit Cecil's inside their building one day, but I will continue to order their food at RockPit when I visit that facility again.

From the outside, it didn't look so WHOA WOW but once you walk inside it's like you're in a midwest home with mamas home cooked good cooking! The smell was wonderful as soon as you walked in and started immediately salivating lol There were so many options to choose from but we ended up getting the two and three meat options. The food was cut up right in front of us and we got to serve our own sides. Ordering and getting food was very fast and there were so many tables to choose from in their dining area. The best part was the free ice cream cause who can say no to that?! I'd definitely come here again when I'm craving some good ol' American BBQ

Orlando-Can't say much about ambiance or service, because we were at Rockpit Brewery, next door. There were 4 of us and we also got apps. We had fried okra-good, with light breading. Pretzel bites- just frozen bites, with "supposedly" beer cheese (not really beer cheese tasting). Loaded tots (smoked chicken)-ok, but a strange amount of chicken plopped on top of the tots. See pictures! Large meat sammy-very plain, with just pulled pork and nothing else. Too dry to enjoy. No cheese, mayo, or really anything. Sides of bbq sauce that didn't impress. Steak fries were good. It's really hard to mess frozen fries up! Chicken salad sliders-DELICIOUS! Potato salad as a side along with an extra side of coleslaw. Both of those sides were pretty delicious. 2 Grilled cheese with pulled pork sammie's. Sides for that were steak fries, and a cucumber salad. Cucumber salad was OK. Not much to write home about. Too bad because you are locked into this place if you want to hang at the brewery and eat. Definitely not a spot to return to, unless you're totally starving over at the brewery and are desperate for something to soak up the beer.

I've passed by this place so many times and finally decided to give it a try. It always smells so good! I did have higher expectations going in. we walked in at 2:07 and they have a lunch special that runs till 2 and they wouldn't honor it. Not the end of the world but like 7 mins....??? Anyways, the vibes were very good for BBQ but my pulled pork was a little dry :(. The sauces were good but I wish the sweet sauce was a little less sweet. The mild was too spicy for me.

When we arrived the line was out the door and went around to the back. It was hot, but the team took great care of us. They made sure everyone had water, and for those of age they even offered one Smokemade Lager from Ten 10 Brewing. The line did move at a slow and steady pace. And I appreciate them for offering the waters, the beer, and for managing the line and keeping it orderly. Once it was my turn to order, I did my best not to order everything, but also did my best to pick some favorites. While there was only four of us, we wanted to have a spread and have leftovers. So I ordered two brisket sandwiches, one pulled pork sandwich, one philly sandwich, 6 ct- tallow fried wings (hot korean bbq), large side of cheddar grits, large side of pinto beans, large side of mac and cheese, and a large side of potato salad. When the sandwiches were being made I was immediately impressed by the amount of brisket and pulled pork being put on the sandwiches. While packing our food, I noticed they threw in a loaf of bread. When they handed it to me, I asked if the bread was our ls and they said it was. We didn't order it, but I am thinking since our order was over $100 it might be something that is included, not very sure. Once to my destination we unpacked all of the food and laid it out. It all looked so good, and the smell was out of this world. Everyone quickly made plates and dove it. It didn't take long for us to start commenting on how delicious everything was and that we loved it. The sandwiches were generously packed with super flavourful meat. The cheddar grits were amazing. Some of the best mac and cheese I have had. And the pinto beans were great and I loved the meat they include in the. While we all thought the potato salad was good, it was the least exciting of everything. I think we all prefer a wetter and more southern style. My wife did enjoy her philly, but did make the comment that it was more brisket tasting and not enough philly like. It was also packed with meat and looked amazing. The wings were a nice little addition, great flavor and cooked perfectly. And that free loaf of bread was fantastic, it was similar to a potato bread. Everything was so good and well with the wait. I look forward to my next meal here. The staff was phenomenal and so helpful. Everyone was in great spirits and did a wonderful job, especially considering how busy it was.

The mac and cheese also left me wanting more it just wasn't as rich as I hoped. That said, their collard greens were outstanding truly the star of the show. And the butter gooey cake? That was a sweet win. I also tried their Frisco fries, and they were decent, but I wouldn't rush back just for those. The ambience is really laid-back. It's like any regular barbecue place. I saw at least 3 to 4 tables of people sitting down and enjoying their barbecue and they seem to have a steady stream of traffic. The cashier who is also getting our food order together seemed really nice. She had a great personality. I honestly don't feel the need to go back and visit again. I feel like I would enjoy barbecue more from four rivers.

I feel like the vast majority of BBQ places here in Orlando are all kind of the same. There use to be one place in particular I really enjoyed when it first started and as it expanded with multiple locations popping up everywhere, it lost its soul irreversibly in the process. S&D was not our first choice initially. We had just had drinks at Sideward brewing and were looking for some grub. We looked up on Yelp, and this was only like 3 minutes away. When we walked in, I felt like we were in a replica of Stardust coffee shop. It's got so much vintage stuff everywhere. It had a laid-back hippie vibe that immediately made me feel right at home. They had a DJ playing old school music; I loved it immediately. I appreciated the simplicity of the menu, and so it was easy to make up my mind. I went with the smoked turkey breast plate. When done right, smoked turkey breast is delicious so that was the test for me. I chose fries and baked beans as my side. My friend chose the pulled pork, mac n cheese, and baked beans with the addition of the corn bread. My other friend had the 3 meats plate. he chose brisket, chicken, and pork belly. I loved everything on my plate. The difference from other BBQ places being that this was homemade, you can taste the difference from other places that are just heating pre-packaged stuff up. Having said that, you're also going to wait, especially on Friday night when they were pretty busy. We sat at a table where we could see people cooking. I loved watching the girl add the cheese to mac n cheese and flip the noodles around, watching them ooze with cheese. That was such an awesome sight to behold. The turkey was moist, smokey and absolutely delicious, I would've loved another slice of it. Having said that, if you go in hungry, you will probably have to order something else in addition to your meal, depending on what you get, the portions can be small compared to other places. (see pic) I tried some of my friends cornbread, it was so good! Also with that homemade taste and more akin to a cupcake without frosting rather than cornbread, but still really delicious. During our visit we got to try some complimentary chicharrones, probably because of the wait time we had for things. Afterwards we were also treated to some mini donuts and those were spectacular!! simple cinnamon and sugar but oh so good! I honestly can't wait to go back for another visit.

We tried several of their sandwiches and a tray of donuts. The pork sandwich was decent, I'm not a fan of the bbq sauce, a bit too thin for my liking, not real option for hot either, lot of sweet or vinegar options, which sweet bbq + sweet donut = a bit overkill. Some heat would have been nice. The bbq overall was a 6/10 as there wasn't anything that stood out as a star or that you'd get anywhere else. The donuts were way too sweet for us, they are well done, but if you like super sweet then they'll be right up your alley. There wasn't much for service as we ordered from the counter and sat ourselves at the table. Overall I'd say check them out!

This place is always packed, and for good reason as the food is legit, the cocktail list is solid, and they somehow keep the line moving even when it's slammed so props for that. We went with the Butcher Board, which is listed as serving 2 but easily fed our entire family of four including my wife and our kiddos which makes it a great value for what you get. The brisket was the standout for me, followed closely by the pulled pork. The chicken and sausage held their own too. Honestly nothing on the board disappointed. The beer selection also surprised me in the best way -- not your typical theme park watered-down options. One heads up for first-timers: order before you find a table. We made the mistake of doing it the other way around and were pretty firmly told we couldn't sit until we had ordered. I get it as it's how they manage flow but if you don't know the rule going in, it feels a little abrupt when you're just trying to wrangle your family in a crowded dining room. Overall, The Polite Pig is a clutch spot. We will be back!

This is Oviedo's hidden treasure! The brisket is amazing (seriously - 4 Rivers and Bubbalou's…read moreshould be worried). It just fell apart in your mouth and had such a delicious flavor. I had the smaller bowl (1 meat and 2 sides) and it was enough to feed me for 2 meals. OMG the beans! There were 3 or 4 types of beans in it and it was incredibly hard to not gobble them all down instead of saving some for my hubby to try at home. My friend had the cornbread casserole which she said is her favorite side after the beans (I'm GF so I couldn't have that but I wanted to!). Another friend had the Bbq brisket sandwich with potato salad and she said the potato salad was really tasty. Just so you know - this is a very small restaurant. No inside seating, just picnic tables outside. (Some are shaded.) There is an area outside to wash your hands after eating and you can download their app and order online which gets you $5 off your meal (that's a good deal) but even without a discount, the food is worth every penny and the portions are generous.

It was ready when I pulled up to the lot adjacent to the BBQ restaurant. There is outside seating only and a sink to clean up afterwards. I went in and my food was ready. I opened it and was checking for the extra pickles which were an option in the app. The person who handed me the food said that they had not had pickles in some time because they were having issues with the supplier. Darn. So I decided to eat my pulled pork sandwich at the picnic tables outside. Actually the tables are not that far from the road where cars and trucks whizzed by. I went back and asked for more bbq sauce because I got two small cups of bbq sauce which had about 3 tablespoons of liquid each. Pulled pork always sucks up a lot of sauce. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh but overall it would have been perfect with some acid from the pickles. My brisket and rib meal was excellent. I ate it later and I found the southern green beans to be good. I would definitely get this combo again. It came with a drink which is a canned soft drink. It doesn't say on the app but they also have bottled water. Overall I felt this restaurant lived up to all the hype. Check the app for $5 off on your first order. See QR code in the picture.

The front staff remembers us every time we go. I am obsessed with the herbal and spicy hot pot, so I usually have them make it 50/50 mix. The vegetables are fresh and there's a wide selection of meats and seafood. I also like to make my dipping sauce with the garlic sauce blend. My favorite is the Galbi which is seasoned well. Both savory and sweet. Another obsession is the asago dessert which is a tapioca pearls, black beans, fruits and jelly in a sweet coconut milk. I really enjoy going here since it's a good alternative to other AYCE in the surrounding vicinity because of the better quality. I want to see this place get more traffic because it's hidden in the old JoAnn's shopping center next to Aldi. There's plenty of parking in the commercial lot.

The restaurant also offers plenty of room to stay and enjoy your food both indoors and outdoors. It was way too hot so decided to get mine to go. The plate is massive! Lots for chopped brisket and fries. Toast was soggy due to the condensation from the meat so just ok for me. The beans were sweet and smokey, an unexpected treat. The mac & cheese was dry. Didn't care for it. The Brisket - very good. Fell apart. However, I would have preferred it not chopped but sliced instead but still very tasty. And get the sweet BBQ sauce. Adds some depth to the meat. Overall, not bad. Solid 7/10 for me. Give it a go if you're in the area and looking for some quick smoked goodness.

The brisket wasn't as juicy as I would've liked. The fries were okay. Wish they were seasoned crinkle cut. The Mac and cheese was downright terrible. Like watered down velveeta. The barbecue sauce was so necessary because otherwise everything else tasted the same. Their sauces were good but again not anything unique. I probably wouldn't return unless I couldn't get bbq elsewhere.
