I used their app to order online because I had heard they sell out. I ordered a brisket and ribs combo that came with a side and drink. Plus a pulled pork sandwich. It was ready when I pulled up to the lot adjacent to the BBQ restaurant. There is outside seating only and a sink to clean up afterwards. I went in and my food was ready. I opened it and was checking for the extra pickles which were an option in the app. The person who handed me the food said that they had not had pickles in some time because they were having issues with the supplier. Darn. So I decided to eat my pulled pork sandwich at the picnic tables outside. Actually the tables are not that far from the road where cars and trucks whizzed by. I went back and asked for more bbq sauce because I got two small cups of bbq sauce which had about 3 tablespoons of liquid each. Pulled pork always sucks up a lot of sauce. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh but overall it would have been perfect with some acid from the pickles. My brisket and rib meal was excellent. I ate it later and I found the southern green beans to be good. I would definitely get this combo again. It came with a drink which is a canned soft drink. This is Oviedo's hidden treasure! The brisket is amazing (seriously - 4 Rivers and Bubbalou's should be worried). It just fell apart in your mouth and had such a delicious flavor. I had the smaller bowl (1 meat and 2 sides) and it was enough to feed me for 2 meals. OMG the beans! There were 3 or 4 types of beans in it and it was incredibly hard to not gobble them all down instead of saving some for my hubby to try at home. My friend had the cornbread casserole which she said is her favorite side after the beans (I'm GF so I couldn't have that but I wanted to!). Another friend had the Bbq brisket sandwich with potato salad and she said the potato salad was really tasty. Just so you know - this is a very small restaurant. Went there on Saturday with my husband and co-workers around 1pm. Wasn't too busy but when we arrived the three tables outside were occupied. When you go to order you enter and it's right there in front of you. I tried to order turkey and mashed potatoes but both were sold out. Ended up with pulled pork and corn casserole. Husband got burnt ends and mac. Co workers got brisket and ribs and a Dino rib. All that being said...while the food was good, tender, and definitely one of the better bbq around. BE AWARE **The portion sizes were VERY small and did not justify the price (pretty expensive)** . We were also informed that they only make 2-7 beef Dino ribs a day (like singular rib). It's pretty frustrating that they don't mark that they are out of something. And the Mac (while tasty) was just noodles with a cheese sauce poured over. We got the spare ribs, smoked turkey and the pulled pork shoulder our sides were mac n cheese, sweet potato casserole and southern roasted corn off the cobb (you definitely need to plan to share the sides they are ginormous as well as homemade delicious) they throw in the best pickles (maybe ask for extras), a beautifully charred jalapeño pepper and white bread with their signature bbq sauce. I can't say with any certainty what my favorites are because there are so many things I didn't try but trust me I'll be returning for more. The turkey is smoky, tender and moist - the pork ribs are fall off the bone tender, smoke through and through with the fat rendered perfectly definitively finger licking good, the pork shoulder is cooked perfectly and is pulled with a perfect fat to lean ratio. Really good food here! We got a two meat platter, brisket and spare ribs and a 1/4 pulled pork. The sides were smokehouse mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. The ribs were my absolute favorite of it all. The meat literally fell off the bone when I picked them up, better than the brisket which is saying a lot. We came here one day, needing a nice big to-go lunch that was near home. Thank goodness we did, because this place was awesome. Ambiance was everything you want from a BBQ place. A shabby little shack surrounded by a free-for-all, dirt parking lot, a line out the door all day long, a camped interior that is way too hot for prolonged exposure. The staff behind the counter were hustling and getting orders out in a hurry, both in-person and mobile orders, and the sign outside was designed to let us know what product they are out of for the day, always a great sign of great BBQ. I'm not sure if all of their bread is free, but there was a basket at the end of the counter and they asked me how many I wanted. Great touch. As for the food, it was walked the walk. We got a big combination plate with four meats and three sides. Looks like we got the ribs, the brisket, the pulled pork, and the sausage. With sides of beans, mac 'n' cheese, and mashed sweet potatoes. Also ordered an extra side of sauce. It was all banging. Ribs fell off the bones and had a good smoke, brisket was perfectly moist and had not too much fat on them, pulled pork was naturally porky and not dry. The only thing was the sausage. The flavor was fine, but the way it was sliced really diminished the snapping bite potential, and the texture inside was a little off. All the meats were great, though. Sides were equally excellent. A BBQ place lives and dies by its sides. Beans were slightly sweet, slightly smokey, and I loved the mixture of three beans in there. Mac 'n' cheese was good too. The perfect cheesy level, and a good bite on the noodles. Sweet potatoes were good, too, but not life changing. Experiment with another side, if you're not too keen on sweet potatoes anyway. After a long day of trail walking our group was craving something delicious and comforting at the same time and we definitely found both at Briskets BBQ Shack and Grill.
