My wife and I recently purchased a travel trailer and wanted our first camping experience to be close to home, but one that provided a good outdoor experience. Cedar Canyon RV Resort fit those requirements perfectly! We enjoyed our weekend camping experience that included riding our ebikes through beautiful mountain trails and going for a quick drive to Cedar Breaks! Accommodations of full hookups worked great! Everything was wonderful even after hours Rachelle had left us a number we could text her or call her for ice or firewood the campground was extremely clean easy to get in and out of. Small shade trees, fire pit and picnic table at each site. We were assigned spot 23 for a 1 night layover which was a nice spot but if we were going to stay for any period of time we would want to request something and not stay in a site like 23 because it's a buddy site so if we wanted to sit outside our trailer we were facing the other people sitting outside their trailer so I think being able to be sight specific for longer period is important thing to offer but thank you it was a wonderful experience very smooth read more

Very nice campground - opened in May 2020. 20 sites of various capacity from 30 ft to 75 ft pull-through. They all looked pretty level, but not perfectly level. Well laid out, but a little cramped. 50/30/20 amp electric, water & sewer. No dump station. Six tent sites ($20) with a nice level pad, firepit, and picnic table. They also have a 3 bdrm, 2 bath log cabin for rent ($265, 2-night minimum) that sleeps 8. All the landscaping is well done. Very nice person in the office. Bathrooms and shower rooms are combined and are excellent, maybe because they're still so new. Fixtures don't look to be commercial quality though; we'll see how they hold up. Some nice BLM land to the east, space for dogs to run off-leash. Supposed to be a waterfall across the hwy, but didn't get to check it out. A little bit of road noise, but it dwindles at night. We didn't get any usable cell service on AT&T or Verizon, but the campground provides WiFi. It's surprisingly decent - up to 10 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up - but had occasional drops and high ping. We paid $40+tax=$44.27 for a medium RV site in April 2021. read more

Super nice place if you like being away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Roughly 3-4 miles from Cedar City. Nice gravel sites, clean restrooms and laundry. It is right off a two-lane highway, so you do get a little traffic noise but hardly any at night. They have a little hiking trail right out of camp and very close to some very popular trails. They are dog friendly. read more

Loved this place!!! We stayed for one night in an RV spot and loved it. The campground is very small, quaint and quiet. The check in office was adorable and the campsite spots were also very cute. My favorite part about the campground was the bathrooms!! they were SO clean! Sometimes campground bathrooms can be nasty but these were great. They felt brand new and well kept. They were like private/individual bathrooms so they had great privacy and there was also a shower!! Only a 20 minute drive to Cedar Breaks national monument (beautiful drive btw) and not too far from Cedar City. 10/10 overall, we will definitely be back! read more

From the time we checked in to the morning we left (6 nights), we had a fabulous time at Cedar Canyon Retreat. The hosts, Tom and Peggy, are gracious, welcoming, and willing to do what it takes to make your stay memorable. We stayed in site #6, the best and roomiest pull-through for a large RV and truck we've ever had. The bathrooms were updated and sparkling clean. The sites were spacious and clean and afforded more room between neighbors than you normally see. It was convenient to Bryce NP and downtown Cedar City. The setting is beautiful on the side of a mountain with a stream running along the highway which we went wading in. So fun! Cedar City is a really cool town with everything you might need. We will most definitely stay there again. read more

This place is a hidden gem and definitely worth staying at again and again!! The owners were incredibly nice and super helpful! They even recommended calling ahead for prime rib at Milt's (a delicious steak house within half a mile up the canyon). We paid $60 after tax for a large pull through site. Our extended bed truck & 20ft. toy hauler fit perfectly in #16! You do loose cell coverage up the canyon, so their speedy FREE WIFI made it possible for us to call our children and watch our Netflix, lol. It was after 9pm and we had a tent camper "shush us," as we were setting up, but that was our only hiccup, that camper could have asked nicely. We most definitely recommend this site/Retreat to all! It's super close to Cedar and the TWO best steak houses within 50 miles. You should definitely book this stay! Sites 6 & 7 looked like the premium spots. ;) read more

Hidden Gem, great location not far from town and the weather was perfect for our end of June trip. Owners are very hospitable and made sure we were happy, gave suggestions for trails and the views at the retreat..are amazing! Enjoyed the sunsets and how close we were to many attractions. Bathroom and showers were wonderful, and I enjoyed that it was a smaller retreat with few sites, made us feel exclusive and immersed in a peaceful wilderness. The trail to the waterfall from the retreat was great, must do! Wish we had more time here! Thank you so much we will be back again for a longer stay! :) read more

Great RV park, feels like a nice small campground instead of a parking lot like most of these places. Nestled off the 14 with some shade, cooler than down by the 15 in Cedar City and a beautiful short drive up to Cedar Breaks National Monument. And the bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. read more

This is their first year and they have one Cracker Jack person in charge. Lisa has a lot of experience as an onsite manager. The bathrooms and showers were the cleanest we have seen anywhere. The sites were remote and tucked into wilderness. The hooks worked perfectly. We will be back! read more

Shhh! This little camp ground is our little secret. Very nice and well kept.Bathrooms rooms are nice and clean. When you stay here you are not far out if town, so if you forgot something it's not far away. They do have ice to purchase if needed, and wood for campfires if allowed. Camp host was very friendly and made sure we were familiar with what was available during our stay, ie Wifi. (That was spotty at times, but you aren't here to work now are we!) read more

Reservation was easy, I had an issue doing online (could be on my end) but I called that morning and got helped quickly. Clean restrooms and quiet area. Although sites are a lil tight and close to other neighbors, over all stay was wonderful. Will stay again and recommendable :) read more

Depends on what you're looking for. It looks like the owners take pretty good care of the campground and keep the bathrooms clean. Staff is very friendly. Not much in terms of amenities and it is 5 minutes from town. It is rustic, which we liked. We have a 36 foot fifth wheel, and found it very tight to get around the campground. It is just 20 spots built on a pretty steep hill. I think that it was creatively designed. Just a little too tight for us. On our last evening, a camper with a 40+ foot motor home clipped a tree which claimed part of his awning and some paint. One thing that did concern us was the little trail to the waterfall wasn't really well marked. We went up instead of down the trail and found an old couch car seats for kids and a bunch other garbage on the hillside. Looked like someone had been living there. Pretty unappealing when looking for a scenic walking trail. read more

Passed through after buying a trailer heading home, I didn't expect too much but it was amazing! Awesome views and so much space + WiFi. This place also has the BEST bathrooms that I have ever experienced in a campground. So clean and private, each bathroom is separate with it's own toilet sink and shower. We will definitely camp here again!!! read more
