Very pleased with our stay at this KOA campground in Cedar City, Utah. It was the first place we stayed at during our two week camping roadtrip with great friends. Personally, I would not have mind staying here longer. We only had a one night stay because time was of the essence. Facilities and amenities were fine and operable. Better than most of the other campgrounds we visited on our trip. Would stay here again if it were my decision. read more

Stayed here twice in a week, once going to Denver and then a week later returning from Denver. Very nice staff, funny guy on the ATV that guides you to your spot. Nice gift store with a few grocery items that you might need if you arrive late. Sites were level and well maintained. Loved speaking to our neighbors over a glass of wine as the sun was setting. Wonderful over night. Next time we will stay for a few more days. read more

First off I would like to complement every staff member that we came in contact with. They truly go above and beyond to be friendly, helpful and cheerful! They deserve 5 stars! Now, let me put this bit of advice right here; Try the Ice-Cream! This KOA sells Farr's Ice Cream and it is delicious! As for the park itself, it's a bit dated and there is no uniformity. The spaces offer various types of gravel and some have grass, (see photos) Some spaces have mature trees that offer shade. The new section of the park has no protection and you're exposed to the blazing sun all day. If you want shade request, a site in the old section. Sites are level for the most part and there is no concern about space. You can let your awning out without being concerned about hitting your neighbors RV. The pool is a good size and is kept clean. There is road noise but we ran our fan and air most of the night. On a side note I'd like to say that there are many great food options in this town, use Yelp as your guide. read more

Horrible!!! After hour arrival guests found no key, nothing left for their reserved cabins. Locked-out slept in their cars. All park restrooms locked. No answer on any employee after hours phones. Trees need trimming you'll get a hole poked in your RV roof and paint job damaged. Poor instructions to get to your RV site causing hellacious problems. A terribly run operation. Sad to say the transition to rjourney has not been kind to this formerly packed & pristine campground. We have stayed here 4 times over the course of 7 years & we always looked forward to our nights here. It was certainly better as a koa. Last night there were only about 35 trailers in the large park, yet they put us right up front where the traffic going by is very loud and distracting. I would highly recommend putting the permanent residents in a separate section from the temporary guests. read more

This is my 4th time staying in the camping cabins at this location. The cabins have have gotten more run down this year and it just don't feel like camping when you have an employee living in the cabin next door. Cedar city in general seems more seedy this time through and that is reflected in the cliente of the campground. We will probably look for an alternative . It's hard to be critical because the staff is always super nice, but the camper vibe this time wasn't as good as I had hoped for. read more

Located On the North end of town. Was a great spot for a quick over night stay. Ice cream in the store was a bonus! The men and women working in the store and facilities were kind and welcoming. It also had a play structure for the kids and two dogs runs ( one gravel and one grass) for the pups. read more

This has been a great campground to stay in we arrived late do to vehicle problems, we found our spot to be reserved as promised and even though the office was closed when we arrived they had information for us waiting at the self check in booth. Our spot was nice we had a large camp trailer and the spot was clean and large with easy to use hook ups. we will most definetly be coming back in the future. read more

BUT... This RV park is now RJourney 435-757-0318 rjourney.com. We loved it when it was KOA and still love it as RJourney. All of the same staff remained. They have all sizes of trailer/RV spots, tent camping sites and AWESOME cabins. They have a few dog runs, one is more like a dog park, they have a pool, kids play equipment and more. The camp store is well stocked with amazing ice cream bar!!! And, you get a great view of the mountains to the east. Cedar is not a big town, so everything you need is fairly close. When you call, you can ask to speak with the office in Cedar City and you will be transferred in. Happy Camper, Happy Life. read more

I'm pretty disappointed upon my arrival here today. I drove all the way straight from San Diego and barely made it through the door before they closed at 8pm. I was then asked for an additional $30 pet fee when I arrived, although I already reserved the cabin and paid in full online. I saw no mention of this $30 fee. This is not a deposit, it is non refundable. That really upset me. There is nothing even in the cabin for dogs to mess up. With what I paid total for this place for one night, I could have gotten a hotel room with a tv, WiFi, a bathroom, etc. The reason I chose this place was because I thought it was going to be authentic, being close to many national parks and great hikes. A Car dealership is right across the street. It's not like you're in the woods or nature. You're in a gravel parking lot. Not at all what I expected, but I'm not from the area so I didn't know. Otherwise, the cabin was clean. They turned the AC on before I got there thankfully as it was 100 degrees still when I pulled in around 8pm. The facility bathrooms were nicer than your average camping destination. read more

Cedar City KOA - Kabin 3 - Campgrounds Near Me - Cedar City, Utah

DO NOT TENT CAMP HERE. All the tent sites are FEET from a busy road (busy all night long). I could have saved my $70 for the weekend and thrown my tent up under an overpass for free. I always loved KOAs as a kid and as an adult Ive been to a few that we've loved. This was terrible. The playground is literally falling apart (slide swing and a broken merry go round). The tent sites are uneven with railroad ties everywhere and our group of 8 all tripped and fell on our faces multiple times (it's dark at night ). All the tent sites share one firepit so if there are others you better like each other. Also one of the staff members was terrible. "Your dogs cant pee by the tent area". Well yes I'd prefer them not to, but their house-trained to potty...outside...where we are. I can only do so much there. Also the kids were playing on this low slanted building that was in our tent site. He told us they can't be on there and that's fine, we told the kids to get down and they did, immediately. The man then stood there with his hands on his hips and just watched us for a good 8 minutes. Rude. If it's that big of a deal DONT HAVE IT IN A CAMPING SITE. read more

The camp was clean and the staff was so sweet! We ended up with a site that didn't have grass or a fire pit. They provided us with a fire for. The store was stocked with treats and necessities! They have cabins if you happen not to have a trailer or tent. They have a K-9 area perfect to let your pet run around in and also have doggy poop bags for you. Restrooms were clean and pool looked refreshing. If needed there was also laundry facilities. We will surly stay here again. read more

Having gone through Zion Park on Memorial Day weekend -- a HUGE mistake -- I found myself looking for a decent place to camp, so I continued on up to Cedar City. Several places I had called earlier didn't even answer their phone, so when I got into Cedar City, I pulled into KOA. This is only the second time I have stopped at a KOA, and this park was much nicer than the first one I had visited. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the entire park is spotless and well maintained. It was so quiet, I slept in much later than normal. So I decided to stay one more day to avoid the holiday traffic. The one thing I can complain about is the poor wifi reception. At times it reminded me of the old days of dial up internet service. Fortunately, I have my own wifi. read more

We've stayed twice now at this KOA. Both times we stayed for 2 days. The grounds are well kept. They have community fire pits. We've only reserved tent sites so I can not comment on cabins. The store/office staff were very friendly. It is within driving distance of interesting places. One thing I didn't care for was their playground, it needs upgraded. read more

After driving thru 118 heat, they had the 3 things I needed. Ice, a pool, and a 30 amp hookup. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but they are very nice and the park is nice and clean. I would stay here again. I've been driving all day, so honestly I didn't even notice the traffic noise until someone said something. read more

This was only our second time using a KOA. As before, it has decent amenities. The free showers are nice. The location of this KOA leaves a lot to be desired, however. It is right in the middle of the city. So you can't really get into the "camping mood" if that is what you are going for. It was hot when we arrived, and we were towards the end of a rather long trip to a number of the national parks in the area. So, when we arrived, we were not really into setting up a tent, which was our original plan. So, at checkin, we inquired about the availability of a single room cabin. They had two that were vacant so we upgraded. It was problem free and a good investment. read more

If I could give a zero I would. My husband went into the office first to check in. The lady at the counter (Southern accent) started helping him. As soon as my brother-in-law walked in behind him she stopped helping my husband and started talking to my brother-in-law. She finished with him before going back and helping my husband. My husband is black, brother-in-law white. Her attitude towards my brother-in-law was cordial, towards my husband was slightly tolerant but a noticeable difference. Also, another white customer came in during this time and was helped immediately by someone else while my husband waited. My husband is one on the last people to notice or complain about race but this was so obvious. Sad that this still exists in today's world. read more

I had the best experience here, we broke down and the dodge/Chevy/ford dealership was conveniently across the street. Everyone in this town was very nice and understanding of our situation. The staff at this park was amazing and was able to accommodate us and keep us in the same spot for 3 nights even though we walked in. I'm glad I met these people and hope I can repay the kindness they showed me one day. read more

This is right off Main Street and about a mile from freeway. Park was nice and clean the spots are a little to close for me and they do have shade trees but we did not get one of those and it was very hot until our new neighbor pulled in and gave us some much needed shade thanks neighbor . The staff was very very nice and told us all the sites and the Resturants and gave us maps to all the sites. The showers were nice with hot water and were clean. We had Pizza Hut deliver to our camp site and was very fas service. The price was pretty high I think $58.44 for 1 night with pull through. There is a big dip as you leave so go out on the road at an angle. read more

Stop over for great site seeing, many activities young and old. As for This KOA: Nothing extra to be said about this and place, no personal service, they don't direct you to site, was a problem with dump, seems it was full, all sites? Advised not to dump when we arrived, we requested to change site, manager reluctant but ok'd change. No one came to advise us on anything, such as we can attach dump or reason, attitude to me, "this is the way we do business". Another point that bothered me was the fact, prior to arriving made several phone calls that day went straight to voice mail, for several hours. Non attentive from the beginning. read more

This campground is right next to a busy highway. If the traffic and sirens don't wake you up, your neighbors will. A couple of guys with Harley's fired up their bikes at 2 AM every night. Woke everybody up. If you're in a camper this place seems pretty good, but DO NOT stay here if you're sleeping in a tent. Also, their cabins are TINY, and cost more than a motel would for the same price. read more

Perfect stay at this KOA. We had a premium camping site that had electrical and a water faucet. The site included extra lighting if needed. SUPER clean bathrooms with hot showers. We had a wonderful one night stay. read more

Dont stay here unless you like the sound of barking dogs. All day. Multiple dogs bark and they do nothing about it.

I only stopped in for a shower but they were so nice. The facility is secure and the showers were VERY CLEAN. They didn't care that I was only there for a shower they treated me like gold. read more

This was my first KOA and it was a nice spot to stay. The pool could use some updating and maybe some cool decking since it was slippery, but it was big enough and kept at a nice temperature. Staff was super friendly. No issues or real complaints. I'd definitely stay again. read more

The Cedar City KOA is a hidden gem. The staff are incredible. They go out of there way to be sure you have a great day. An example is I called the front desk to inquire about propane. Tim said I'll be right down to pick you and your bottles up for refills. We were away and perishable food came in the mail. They made sure the food was placed in a cooler. We were very happy with this campground. If the sites had more room between neighbors, we'd have rated it a 9 or 10. But, our neighbors slideout almost touched ours. For such a rural and pretty area, there really should be more space between sites. Staff was very friendly, store was well stocked and included t-shirts, ice cream, and homemade fudge. Most recent stays were 6/24, 6/25, and 7/11/19. We've stayed here many times over the years. Use extreme caution using the driveway. If you go in/out too fast, you will damage your rig inside and out. There is a steep, deep dip. Unfortunately, this is true of most of the driveways in Cedar City. Nice mountain views. Site hookups worked perfectly. Facility is clean. Restrooms are clean. Pavement, dump station, and playground need upgrades. Dog run is gravel, not good on my dog's feet. Most, not all, sites have mature shade trees. Staff are courteous and professional. We received a map of Cedar City and list of restaurants, very helpful. Overpriced for the facility and they charge more on holidays and during special events in town. read more
