Stayed in Yurt #1 for one night. When we arrived around 2:30-3 pm, and opened the door to the Yurt, we were almost knocked over by how HOT and stuffy it was inside! There was a small air conditioning unit and it was on and running on "cool." However, there was no "high, medium or low" adjustment setting. The speed in which the cooler was running was low and there was no way to adjust the direction of the louviers either. We tried moving the cooler (it was on wheels), but the hose neither the water hose connected to it would allow it to be moved or lifted more than a few inches. This small unit was not powerful enough to feel unless you were right next to it. The heat in the Yurt was so unbearable that we had to sit outside under the trees for quite a while until the sun set a little. Even opening the window flaps did not help until the sun went down and it finally started to cool off for the evening. In all fairness, the management was nice, and would have offered to move us to another unit if there had been availability for that night, but they were full. The bed was comfortable once we cooled off and could finally get comfortable. It could have been so so much better had there been an adequate cooling unit in this yurt. Note: There are two yurts: Yurt #1 which is the one we stayed in is in the direct sun with no tree cover. Yurt #2 is under trees and also next to the creek. It also appeared that they still had the winter insulation covers on them. These are not "glamping" yurts by any means. read more

If I could give them a 0 out of 5 stars I would. I left my phone charger in the tiny house. I contacted them immediately they said it wasn't there. Clearly they stole it. Upon arrival, there were no linens on the beds. They have very basic amenities. Their website makes them out to be a resort when it is completely subpar. We booked a "creekside rustic cabin", for 3 nights, 6 months out. We were given "tiny house" #3, which is fine (I live in a tiny house), but the set up of this tiny house is awkward and dangerous. The loft ladder was nailed in place, way to the side of the loft, making it difficult (if not impossible) to get up there without hitting one's head. The window in the loft is not up to egress code and, in fact, doesn't close properly because the frame is too small. The window has no screen so there's no potential for fresh air and the electrical setup is incredibly dangerous. Besides the obvious code violations, we had a scary experience the first night and a subsequent debacle the next day. We arrived the first day after the office had closed. They had sent us a code to enter the tiny house, and that worked perfectly. Around 11 pm, someone tried to break into the house. They knew the code but didn't know the door was chained from the inside. Our car was parked right outside the house so it was obvious we were there! The noise woke us so we saw car headlights driving away. I texted the property manager in the morning and was told they would change the code. It was a good thing we took all of our belongings with us the next day, just in case something else happened! When we arrived back after our day trip, the house had been cleaned (which we had NOT requested), new linens put out and all of our food had been taken from the fridge. We called the property manager, who said that he thought the break in attempt was "a maintenance person who made a mistake" and he offered a $20 credit for the food that was stolen. Bug infestation in Black Canyon cabin. They were well aware and booked it to us anyways. When we left, the manager asked "how were the bugs?"!!! Cabin was dirty, aside from hundreds of flying bugs and dead bugs, there was hair throughout cabin, including on bed linens, blood stain on linens, hair in fridge, dirty dishes. $100 of additional fees for cleaning and rv park? I spent the whole time cleaning and de-bugging. Unacceptable. read more

We stayed in Tiny Home #4 for a single night before an early flight out of Montrose the following morning and found that it perfectly served our needs. Check-in was easy enough. We arrived at the campground after the office had closed, and after a moment, we found an envelope with our name taped to the office door with all the necessary information enclosed. The space was clean, quiet, and well suited for a night's sleep, and the appropriate amount of coffee was supplied for my early morning wake-up. WiFi never really worked while we were there. That is the biggest negative. We will certainly stay again if we need to be close to the airport like that again. read more

This RV park was one of the nicer ones we stayed at. We were really busy, so we didn't spend much time here. Check in was easy. We arrived after hours and there was an envelope on the door with our name on it. This had all the directions we needed. My favorite thing about this park was the fast WiFi. Good WiFi seems to be next to impossible to find at an RV park, so this seemed like a gem. We did laundry here and the facilities were nice. Everything seemed clean and well taken care of. We didn't get to play, but they had free mini golf too. The spaces were on the smaller side and it was all gravel, but they got the job done. There were some trees, but there wasn't a whole lot of privacy. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. read more

We enjoyed our stay. They allowed us to check-in early due to highway closure. Nice and peaceful with easy in and out. Friendly staff, clean facility, and lots of good recommendations. Stayed three nights would definitely return given the chance. read more

As I had thought the park made us move our 5th wheel, and because our truck was broken down, we paid $72 dollars to have it moved 100 feet. They filled that spot with one night stays, but said we couldn't stay in that spot. There should be a common courtesy amongst RV park workers/owners and campers. No one should be treated this way in a time of need, NO ONE. We won't be back that's for darn sure. read more

We are from out of state, we have not been aware that hwy 50 is closed. Reserved a spot , we're still not told about the hwy. was charged.$72 . 78 miles away, we find the hwy is closed. We would need to take a 4 hour detour. We are denied a return because...Everyone knew the hwy was closed, we weren't giving 7 days notice and we could still get there. They would leave an envelope on the door, have a blessed day. read more

Going this route as it seems bad reviews on their facebook page just disappear for some reason. This place is a dump! I stayed her first a year ago under, apparently, a new ownership. The manager at the time, Mike, was a total a-hole, plain rude and had an attitude like he'd rather be a hundred other places than there. And his wife, Nadine, just seemed lost and confused, which made her very short and a little rude herself. And, at that time they were tearing out the mini golf course, so, nothing but the noise of sledgehammers, skid steers, and dumps coming and going. Then, I come back a week ago and they have new management that made me miss the jerk and his wife. Nick, the manager, seems on the verge of a nervous breakdown, red faced and veins popping in his forehead. Don't ask him for any kind of help setting up or of you have even a small issue, he's utterly clueless and inept for anything having to do with an rv. He defers everything over to the maintenance guy who is almost never around. However, it's the screaming at employees in front of guests, profanity and all, that really drives me nuts. This guy is about as unprofessional and incompetent as I've ever seen. I'm much older and have seen what I thought was the worst in management in a few places, but this guy takes the prize. How he got the job is amazing in it's own right, how he has managed to keep the job is astounding. Rose, his office manager is only marginally more competent, but has a hearing impediment (not shaming or judging here) that makes it extremely difficult to communicate with her, and if you begin to raise your voice to attempt to get your point across, she accuses you of yelling and doesn't want to talk anymore. The extended stay area looks like a ghetto. Took a walk through there and I just felt like I was walking through "the hood". The bright security lights back there make it somehow seem even more like the projects, very institutional. The rigs that folks are living in are mostly nice, and there's a couple really nice set ups back there. It's the maintenance and upkeep that seems to be severely lacking. Weeds three feet tall everywhere, including the sites in the gravel parking space. Most of the sites need gravel and severe maintenance. Some grass would be nice, somewhere, anywhere, back there. And the corporation that bought the place is a multimillion dollar company the does "Opportunity Zone" investing and have newly built apartment complexes, a five star Rv Park in Grand Junction, an hour and a half away, complete with brand new million dollar community Center and management offices. You'd think in a year a corporation of this magnitude would have their stuff together, but apparently that isn't the case. If you can find another spot, I would suggest exploring that option first. Between the construction that never seems to stop, and the jacka*s manager, you're not guaranteed to have a peaceful and relaxing experience. read more

I'm giving two stars because management was nice and the location is close to Gunnison National park. My recommendation is for management to not have travelers park next to people who are living there full time. They did offer to let us move but we were already set up. We selected this park because they have a fenced dog area and the owner is willing to discuss RV repairs. Our doggies loved the park, and my husband really appreciated some honest feedback regarding his concerns about the RV. We also really appreciated the clean and secure laundry facility, which included showers and restrooms. We didn't get a chance to try the mini golf course, however it looked clean and well-kept. There's a nice area nearby with vending machines and seating to enjoy some outdoor down-time. Also all of the RV spaces have picnic benches or outdoor table and chairs. The only negative note is that although we didn't try the cable, a winter resident said it was erratic. We've experienced that at another park so it may be a common issue. read more

Rick and his wife run this personally and work hard to keep an old property well maintained. They are super friendly and knowledgable obit the area. The bathrooms and laundry was always clean and the lots are tree covered. Some folks live here short term and others were travelers like us. A nice park in beautiful Montrose. The new Owner, Donovan, is very nice. Free Mini Golf, Fenced dog park, Washer/Dryers, clean showers. You are very close to downtown Montrose, movie theater, drive in movie, bowling and TED'S!!! If we ever get back to Montrose, you can bet we will stay at Cedar Creek. read more

Really enjoyed the sweet people and CLEAN bathrooms/laundry room. Our only problem was that the sewer hookup was on the opposite side of the other utilities. A disappointing set up, but otherwise it was a very nice park that was well hidden from the montrose traffic. They also have a very good selection of brochures and maps for the area! read more

If I could give a negative star review here would be it... 30 minutes in this beautiful town now I'm leaving because these morons can't verify payment information before submitting it... so now I've got 150 difference between my actual balance and my available balance... don't give these OLD FREAKING people your CC information they'll just screw it up... will never stay here even after the people in the office croak and somebody else manages it. Knowing full well that information has to have a correct billing address and name of the cardholder, one would assume a MERCHANT would relay that or verify what they submit is correct with the customer, the second time you ran my card everything but the name was correct even though it finally declined when your system tried to final out the pay, you sir are an idiot.... the customer is always right... By the way mr. business owner, your pending charge finally dropped off and I can afford to pay you for the week again.... I wouldn't give you a damn penny to stay a single night in your park... sucks because Montrose is a beautiful place, moron! read more

The best RV park in the area with the best amenities. Truly the only one with the amenities which we find all over the rest of the US when we travel. We moved here from another park in the area (the riverbend one) where we had nothing but problems (no refund even though the electricity kept blowing the breakers and their solution was to string some cheap extension cord for us to use and the new camphost and the man camphost were very unsightly - no teeth and questionable sobriety) and here, the landscaping is immaculate, there are no weeds, there is no place here with dog feces, the employees are clean and well dressed (unlike all but one poor woman in the other place who was doing the best she could in a situation that must be intolerable) and best of all the owners are kind and caring - unlike the other place where all of the above was an issue and the owners are simply money hungry people who charge everybody different prices, this park has an office, store and clearly published rates which are, in fact, their rates. GREAT place. We will be back. read more

The sites are a little tight but that is more than made up for by the friendly staff. The grounds are very well kept and there are plenty of shade trees. A nice little CG, I'll stay there my next time through Montrose. read more
