The property is beautiful, with a river running right alongside--perfect for kids and dogs to play. Our site was private and secluded, making it feel like our own little getaway. The bathrooms were large and clean with warm showers and great water pressure. The property manager was welcoming and helpful, personally guiding us to our site and clearly taking pride in the property. The only small downside was laundry--not all machines accept cards and there's no quarter machine, but the office was happy to make change. Overall, a great stay and we'd definitely return.

Clean and well-maintained, lots of mature shade trees, well-appointed with gas grills, lovely seating areas, well-tended plants and flowers everywhere, manicured, lawn, and friendly helpful staff. We stayed at one of the deluxe cabins and it was tidy with a pretty well stocked kitchen. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. A nice walking path is nearby, but the mosquitoes were too thick to be out past 5 PM so we had to abort that idea. Minor improvement suggestions would be: *use mosquito abatement measures for the campground pond and surrounding areas - they were vicious! *Improve the dogpark grounds - the billows of dusty soil were a lot. Maybe wood chips or another material We would definitely stay again if we visit the area in the future

A great base camp for exploring the surrounding areas suck as Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Blue Mesa, Ouray, etc! Our site #12 was spacious and plenty big for our motorhome and toad. Most sites are pull through with easy access and grassy areas in between. Sites are crushed rock, but not dusty. Pool area is great and they have a newer hot tub! Campground was noce and quiet at night. It can get windy in the afternoons, so don't leave your awning out. Employees were friendly and helpful. We will be back!

It didn't look like much when we first pulled up but it was so quiet and peaceful. They were my 12th call to find a place to setup and wait for repairs and I wish they would have been our 1st. Andrew (Manger) at the front desk put me right at ease on the phone and the owners are such kind hearted people. We were so frazzled from the events of the day and had 5 of our 7 kids with us who were just over it. Matt ( one of the owners) was there with Andrew when we checked in. They made sure we were all doing ok and even offered to use thier tractor if we needed help getting the camper into a spot. We had multiple interactions with staff during our stay and they were all great. Only issue we had was a wasps nest under our picnic table and Qwory got it taken care of within minutes. The showers/ bathrooms were spotless, real showerheads with temperature controls, and spacious. Grounds are clean and well maintained. A new water fountain with a little light show was just added. There are community fire pits and a little playground for kiddos. They have a pool and a big barn currently being renovated that could be used for large gatherings. The barn has a second laundry room that is accessable now and will have more showers/bathrooms once completed. The laundry rooms have older washers and dryers but they are working to get that updated as well. Super pet and kid friendly. Rates were lower than most in the area and they are adding tiny home cabins as well. There is even an onsite mechanic if you get into a bad spot who may be able to help if you are able to stay a bit. (Most rv mecanics are backed up a month or more, he was about 2 weeks I think). Pull through and back in sites are available. Lanscaping is being done throughout so bring your canopy as not all spots are shaded. Bottom line is that the new owners are really working hard to turn this place around and make it stand out. These guys are super accommodating and really just want to have happy guests. Please don't hesitate to be a good human talk with them if you have any issues. I know they will do whatever they can to figure it out. We couldn't have asked for a better safe haven. As far as the package mess on Youtube goes....YES! You can get packages delivered there. There were packages of all kinds (amazon, fedex, ups....ect) in the delivery box in the office. The staff we interacted with: Andrew - Manager Janine- Manager and Matt's wife Matt- Part owner Qwory- Grounds worker

There are 15 campsites (FCFS) plus a small parking area for day use. CR 12 and FSR 706 are not paved, but any vehicle can travel the roads. The highlight of the campground is Lost Lake, a pristine alpine lake at 9600' elevation. The Beckwith Peaks are in the background. If you paddle across the lake (SUP or kayak - no motorized water craft) you get a stunning view of the Ruby Range. (No Ruby Range photos since I didn't bring my waterproof phone case this trip). The lake is dammed and is filled with snow runoff. Even in midJuly, the water was COLD. No chance in h e l l I was going to let myself fall off that SUP! But midJuly was prime time for the wild flowers. Lupine. Queen Anne's lace. Wild rose. Pentsemon. Sneeze weed. Cow parsnip. Fire weed. Absolutely stunning. I'm told the lake is stocked twice annually with rainbow trout. But I don't fish so can't verify. I did see lots of fishermen though.

Centennial RV Park 23449 US-550…read more Montrose, CO 81403 Phone: (970) 240-3832 We stayed at Centennial RV Park in our Class C the entire month of May. Our pull-thru, FHU site #41, was 80 ft long, spacious, had a manicured grassy area and tree for shade next to us. Our site was gravel and level. Every window in our RV provided a spectacular view of mountains, sunrises, and sunsets. The indoor recreation room provided a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for us to play board games, work on a puzzle, or just have some privacy. All the facilities were impeccably clean and well-maintained as were the grounds thanks to terrific onsite managers, Charlie and Cynthia. They were always working to improve the property, even on their days off, and were very accommodating and friendly. This is a pet-friendly RV park with wide walking areas for pets and a fenced field for larger dogs to run freely. The pond, which will eventually be stocked with fish, is still in the development stage. There are plans to have a grassy area with picnic tables and seating by the pond with a view of the mountains and sunset. The park offers onsite propane for your convenience and is open year-round. We found that Centennial RV Park, directly off Hwy CO 550, is a great basecamp to visit the Million Dollar Highway, Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, the Grand Mesa, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride, and Montrose. Most were within an hour's drive or less. We have stayed at over a hundred RV parks, but we rate Centennial RV Park in our top three!
