Great hosts. Clean restrooms and showers. New sites are being developed that you can see them building.

Centennial RV Park 23449 US-550…read more Montrose, CO 81403 Phone: (970) 240-3832 We stayed at Centennial RV Park in our Class C the entire month of May. Our pull-thru, FHU site #41, was 80 ft long, spacious, had a manicured grassy area and tree for shade next to us. Our site was gravel and level. Every window in our RV provided a spectacular view of mountains, sunrises, and sunsets. The indoor recreation room provided a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for us to play board games, work on a puzzle, or just have some privacy. All the facilities were impeccably clean and well-maintained as were the grounds thanks to terrific onsite managers, Charlie and Cynthia. They were always working to improve the property, even on their days off, and were very accommodating and friendly. This is a pet-friendly RV park with wide walking areas for pets and a fenced field for larger dogs to run freely. The pond, which will eventually be stocked with fish, is still in the development stage. There are plans to have a grassy area with picnic tables and seating by the pond with a view of the mountains and sunset. The park offers onsite propane for your convenience and is open year-round. We found that Centennial RV Park, directly off Hwy CO 550, is a great basecamp to visit the Million Dollar Highway, Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, the Grand Mesa, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride, and Montrose. Most were within an hour's drive or less. We have stayed at over a hundred RV parks, but we rate Centennial RV Park in our top three!

It had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It was quiet and serene. There was no tent camping area. The laundry room is clean and machines are dated, but adequate. Restrooms were spotless and modern. There is no playground or game area. Our dog loved the grass but there was no "dog run", no trails. There is oddly enough, no picnic tables or outside seating or bbq area. It was a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.

Because we had booked so late, for our four night stay, we were in three different spots 70, 58 and 60. All were very good, but 70-72 are the best with wider spots. Definitely worth the extra cost. We were contacted by email and text as we got closer to our trip, giving us general check in instructions and what to expect, which I appreciated. We arrived after the office closed, but check in was easy with a packet waiting for us just outside the office. This park is well maintained with beautiful scenery and is surprisingly quiet. There were several campsites with dogs, but the owners were good about keeping them quiet. My husband and I walked the park when it cooled down in the evenings and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We even made some new friends who we hope will cross paths with in the future. There is a general store within walking distance stocked with basic non perishable items. The highlight of our stay here was our prime rib dinner at the Ouray Cafe and Restaurant located on the edge of the park. It's a must stop if you're here! We didn't go to the hot spring, but it's a close walk from the park, as is downtown Ouray. This was a great first trip for us and we'll be returning!

It took me a week to write a review so I could calm down. The rv parks is nice.. needs some work…read morebut it has a pond which I worried about mosquitoes and no water in the creek but with the weather Colorado didn't get.. I get it. I had heard they where once a 50 plus and no kids pets camp ground. I also heard they where under new management.. that the Rv manager confirmed with me from Inda. I took my afternoon to go down and it was supposed to be for an older man and the rv manager took me on a ride and showed me the whole park and said he could pick out his spot. It was very great and I was so excited. House cats allowed because they were trapping the strays and dogs of course one collar and leash which I understood. Po boxes available laundry room and common area. No loud vehicles and I spoke of my children but visitors where welcome. Wonderful conversation and again I thought it was just fine... well... Next day.. I was the one who was going to actually stay there for awhile until the sale of the house. OMG.. did thing change... my father sad I went to the rv park and rv manager met us to say this place wasn't for me. I'm not 50 or 40 but I was to young to stay there and kids were not allowed. My dad and I just starred at each other. She knew my kids are 16 and then adults for one and she never mentioned that the day before. Well you have pets... I have visitors with pets but no... my truck was to load... it wasn't a d two I don't have work until 8 am. She gave me ever reason not to rent there and we had money in hand for two months background check and everything she needed. My dad looked and me and said nope after she thought I would be better off at the Koa in Montrose and went on and on about Cedar Rv Park and even knew their prices and said it wouldn't work out. So, my review was very very thought though ... and lije the RV manager said.. the owner let her do whatever she wants... Just know it seems to me start or long term rentals seems to be with no kids ,pets are ok, but I guess 50 and over. If that works for you, it is beautiful there.. they just started spring work but I bet it's beautiful in the summer.

It was more like a tiny home or bunk house. But it had electricity, lights and also a space heater to help keep us warm at night. it had 2 bunk beds and then on bigger size bed and a little bit of floor space. We were right next to the river and it was a really lovely view. Prices were fair. And the camp hosts were welcoming and friendly. The bathroom had shower curtains for the doors on the stalls and on the shower. We could not find a water fill station. They do have onsite ice and wood you can purchase for fair prices. It was a beautiful little area just outside of lake city We would definitely stay again if we were back in the area. The water went out one night and we were not able to take a shower that night. The camp host seemed surprised that we didn't have ability to shower in a RV. We were renting a cabin...... We had been climbing 14ers the last few days and just wanted a shower but alas it was not meant to be. Wish they would have put a sign on the door to explain what was going on instead of just locking the bathroom from the inside. We thought someone had just locked themselves in because of the curtain on the shower i went to ask about it and then was told that the water was out. Just put up a little communication about it to inform your guests :) Otherwise wonderful stay.

Beware of a couple of things before you book a campsite here:…read more1. They will charge your card for your entire stay upon reserving, not just a deposit. 2. They will not refund your money if you have to cancel your reservation last minute due to the area wildfires creating unhealthy air in Silverton. We had to cancel our reservation approximately 1 week before our arrival due the the wildfires. We had been in the Ridgeway area for the previous week and my wife was having breathing issues due to the smoke. We started monitoring the air quality to see if Silverton was any better. We even drove 1 hour to Silverton to personally check the air quality and it was smokey there too. Do to the poor air quality affecting my wife's Asthma we had to cancel 3 camping reservations in the area and leave Colorado. Silverton Lakes was the only campground of the three to not refund our money. All they did was remind me of their 30 day cancellation policy and would not take into consideration my wife's health issues.. Beware of this before you book a campsite here or a wildfire could not only ruin your vacation but empty your pockets as well.

This set a very bad feeling about our stay. He encouraged the next site to make us move when they were okay with our parking of the truck and trailer. We talked with the other site customer and he was fine with the set up but "The Manger" kept encouraging them to complain about it. A day later we went in the office and the staff were complaining about large trash bags in the dumpster and automatically started blaming it on the "tent camper". My husband spoke up and said if you don't like tent campers then don't have them and that he was a tent campers. This resort is very crowded and the sites are very tight.
