That said, please note the following in regards to room 14. 1) First impression of the room was that the queen bed was noticeably undersized for the available space. Note the photo showing nearly 4 feet of space from the bed to the wall with the window. A king bed could easily fit in the space providing more comfort/space for guests if that's important to hotel mgt. 2) A/C units are typically mounted to the wall below the window near the entry door which provides a short distance for air to travel to keep guests comfortable. However, the A/C unit was tucked away on the opposite side of the room in the "closet" area. Clothes hanging partially blocked airflow requiring the unit to be on more than necessary (energy efficiency?). See photo of AC unit with damage. 3) The bathroom though functional was barely big enough for me to turn around in and I'm not rotund. It was so small the second set of towels, the hair dryer and the extra roll of toilet paper were stored on the shelf above the "closet" (see photo). No place for them in the bathroom. The sink/vanity measured only 17 inches across (see photo). Never seen a sink/vanity that small in a hotel. 4) The door had no security hardware other than the handle to open it. No latch, no quarter turn deadbolt, no chain. 5) There was a dent in the drywall next to the bathroom door. 6) The room had only two pillows on the bed at check in. Typically hotels have 2 per person. We called/ texted the front desk to get more pillows - no response. When we got back from dinner, still no additional pillows. I went to the front desk, nobody around, no bell to ring. There were some doors next to the front desk so I knocked. Someone popped out immediately but seemed annoyed that I knocked - it was a private residence. At this point I didn't care about that. The fact that I had to come to the office because we got no response to our call/text was lost on him. I'm okay with $150/night if there is value with that price. This place is not worth $150. Look elsewhere for lodging if you can.

The room, although clean and remodeled, was sparsely equipped - no chair to sit on, no table, no cups, glasses, or coffee - pretty much nothing but a bed, which was okay for sleeping. The granola bar, instant oatmeal cups and fruit breakfast was sort of in keeping with their minimalist approach to room decor, but was appreciated I guess.

Hours outside of the city and nestled on a hefty acreage you find yourself in a peaceful beautiful QUIET setting, where you can unwind and recharge. I loved the outdoor back patio breakfast nook where I woke up each morning and spend hours alone listening the the trees sway in the wind enjoy this amazing setting. The 2nd great is the accommodations. Every square inch is clean, nicely decorated and newly restored. There is great thought is put into each room & it has a charming character. The 3rd great is the FOOD! We had the privilege of coming in on a rare evening where Nicholas cooked pasta bolognese from scratch! Paired with a red wine, it was VERY good!!! Breakfast each morning was gluten free, and so delicious including fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables from the garden! The 4th was the hospitality. I felt as I was the only one, and completely waited on a catered to. They care greatly about their guests, & it shows in their actions, down to having healthy snacks, grab and go items to eat and coffee and tea day or night. If you want to GET OUTTA TOWN, relax, and be on a lax schedule this is the place for you!! Can't wait to be back. **Also know readers, that my best friend compared this place to one of the best b&bs she stayed at months ago in Cape Town, South Africa. That should sum it up!!!!

Yet, it combines art, farm-to-table restaurants, organic farms, vineyards, a local brewery and traditional farming.  I started looking for accommodations around Paonia where I could rest and relax and be surrounded by nature. I found it in this beautiful modern farm stay bed and breakfast that came highly recommended. Not only is every part of the farm well cared for, doing yoga in the forested area is plain invigorating. Walking around the property I was surrounded by wonderful views, beautiful flower and food gardens,  and felt exactly how I wanted to feel, reconnected with nature in a very well cared for and modern bed and breakfast farm stay.    The proprietress was fabulous. From the moment I called, she was attentive and asked if I had special dietary needs, worked with me on my arrival time, and provided great hiking information for the local mountains. The space is impeccable, rooms are clean and modern. The gluten free breakfast was absolutely delicious and was served on the patio overlooking the gardens.  The space and the attentiveness allowed me to unplug from the daily grind, reconnect wth nature, and recharge. I returned home looking forward to the next time I will visit. I highly recommend Agape Farm and Retreat.

Her breakfasts were amazing although she offered to give us some vouchers for breakfast in town if we wanted to explore other places, but we loved the whole setup with the blue-white china and the amazing birdwatching from the breakfast nook, and the food was even better. Eggs as you liked it, fruit, yoghurt and gluten free pancakes( would've never guessed if she didn't tell me that the were her recepie w quinoa other healthful flours), and another morning, even got a unique treat of home made elk sausage gifted from a local friend. There are two rooms downstairs, high ceilings and period furniture , one with a huge bathroom with big jetted tub and great views of the mountains. She had a lot of her original artwork displayed everywhere, we saw more of it later displayed in the local rum barMontoyas( great cocktails!) We spent 4 nights there on New Years to ski Silverton, and there was so much snow that fell our first night she even offered to drive us up to Molas Pass and show us a nice hike for our puppy, since our two wheel drive rental wouldn't have been safe to drive. It was a real nice gesture and we had a blast. There are two other resident puppies, both poodle mixes so hypoallergenic like my dog was, who were adorable, but still Judy was very respectful and only let them out after we requested that our dog meet them. Obviously not every guest likes animals and she was very polite about keeping them out of the way until we asked to meet them. Apparently she is truly pet friendly as she said her B&B hosted a variety of different animals from llamas to a hawk ( for a movie shoot). Lovely ,cozy, comfortable, can't wait to return!

And the cabin in particular that is built upon Chief Ouray's hunting adobe. We absolutely loved the cabin. It was private and primative, but had everything we needed. And to learn that it was built in 1902 was even better. It does have a comfy bedroom, it is not a studio. And a kitchenette with a fridge and a stove, a microwave and mostly fully stocked. A decent shower and lots of heaters with a wood burning stove. We would stay here again in a second. It was neat waking up to the wild turkeys and driving up and down the hill in the ice. The jeep made it really easy. We also booked the sunroom and while I do love staying in the lodge, because of its convenience, we much prefer the cabin. The sun room is almost all windows, and it is literally built on top of the vapor cave with the rock coming through one wall. It's very cozy too, and has a king bed. That part is great! There is no kitchenette in here though, but the front desk clerk was kind enough to help us with some items we needed to make some sandwiches. I'll tell you the most difficult part is this: The entitlement of folks who have no concept of respect. Whether it be berating the staff or talking loudly and obnoxiously while soaking. If someone doesn't know hot springs etiquette, they should learn. It's a place of retreat, rest and relaxation. It's also a sacred native site. It deserves respect. Don't come here if you're looking to be loud and obnoxious. You don't know how many times I watched people walk away from soaking, because of idle drunk gossipy talk... The times where we have been mostly alone, are just epic and I'm truly grateful for that. It has been one of the best weeks just becoming one with nature and the earth, honoring the sacred. There really are no more words except this... For all the negative reviews around social media or online, that's great keep it up. The rest of us would like this little gem kept a secret. Thanks
