What can I say? A leak in our roof appeared instantly. Googled "emergency roof repair" and got a plethora of options. I called someone else first by sheer (bad) luck and it was like talking to someone half asleep. Called Cedar Roofs NW and Sean promptly answered. He spent maybe 2 to 3 minutes with me listening to me describe what/where/etc...about our roof and the leak. Then said "I'll be there by noon" - this was at 9am mind you. I said "I'll be here". 90 minutes later at 10:30am he's at my front "you said youd be here so I got here as quick as possible". Right there is the 3 star review. Now for the 5 star.....he's on my roof in minutes. Back down a very short time later. Shows me the problem (which btw was caused by installers 5 years ago). He says "give me 45 minutes and we'll be good to go". Probably 30 minutes later he's down the ladder with photos of the repair. Day 2 after the repair and probably 1/2 inch of rain later.....no more leak. The bill = very reasonable for instant call out, repair, and peace of mind. They did a relatively quick job fixing the leak in my roof, which I appreciate. I agreed to a verbally to pay for labor+materials. However, when I got the invoice, the small amount of materials they used were marked up what appears to be 100%-1000%. They charged me $35 for a single tube of roofing tar (available at Lowes for as little as $3) and $65 for a single bundle of shingles (available at Lowes for less than $25). I expect some markup from a contractor, but usually a reasonable amount. I called to inquire and the owner was completely unapologetic, saying he needs to charge this markup to handle wear and tear on his equipment. It's not worth going to the mat over less than $100, but I would be extremely careful hiring these people without a carefully reviewed written contract that limits potential markup on materials. read more

He was able to schedule Guy to come by a day later, on a Saturday. Guy was on time, incredibly nice, and was able to fix the leak quickly. They showed up on time, finished earlier than estimated and the final bill was just what the estimated. It was painless and pleasant to work with them. This was the best experience I've had with a roofing company! When you have water dripping through a ceiling light fixture you know it's time to call the professionals. I tried several companies listed online and either got no response or was told that it would be 4-5 days before they could come out. While searching here and on Google I found Cedar Roofs NW. I called and left a message as I had done on numerous other companies phones but this was much better. I got a call back from Sean Haney in about 10 minutes! It got even better when he said he could be at my house in less than 30 minutes!!!! He actually beat me to the house and was already accessing the problems. He was very thorough checking from inside the attic to look for light leaks. When completed, he had found 9 leaks and repaired them all. We had a leak in our garage roof after a particularly heavy rain storm. I contacted several companies and have yet to hear back from them. I emailed Cedar Roofs NW at about 8am and got a call by 10am. Sean was here at noon! He found a leaking roof vent and replaced it right away. Outstanding!! I had Cedar Roofs NW come out for maintenance on my cedar shake roof. I was not happy with the previous company we had used and saw these guys had great reviews. Sean came out to see what we needed. He was straightforward and knowledgeable. Sean quoted me a reasonable price and thoroughly explained what the work entailed and we set up a date for the work to be done. On the day of the appointment, Sean and his coworker showed up bright and early and got to work. He took the time to show me what was being replaced, why it was being replaced, and the causes of cedar shake blowouts and breakage. When the job was done they cleaned up everything. And I mean EVERYTHING!! They left my roof, my house, and the surrounding property looking better than when they got here. These guys showed me that there are still people out there who take pride in a job well done. Definitely one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Good communication, fast, honest, and knowledgeable. Sean at Cedar Roofs NW is an honest guy who really knows his stuff. Our roof began leaking during a hard rainfall about a week before we were set to go on vacation. Sean came out on a Sunday morning (without marking up the cost for the weekend) and quickly identified a small hole in a shingle that was the culprit. Didn't charge us anything for materials since it was such a small issue and identified a few other potential problems that we should keep in mind without pressuring us to commit to more work. Great service. Repaired a leak in my cedar shake roof. Sean Haney was knowledgeable and I felt confident in his ability and experience to do the job right. Had two previous guys come out before Cedar Roofs NW and they did a pretty lousy job repairing the leak. The first guy simply did a temporary fix and missed the main point of entry of the leak; the second guy did only a temporary fix. Sean fixed it correctly. Yet I ended up paying just as much each for the first two guys to come out as I did with Sean. Lesson learned... I should have gone with him in first place. Definitely would recommend. read more

This roofing company is so amazing! I've called Sean twice to do emergency leak repairs on my roof this winter. The first time he came out in less than 24 hours (on a Sunday!) and the second time he came out in about three hours. His rates are incredibly reasonable, his work is excellent, and he's just an all around nice guy. I'm disappointed that I have to write this review. A few months ago I had a problem with some water damage and we decided to have them come out. I read their website and they seemed to have a lot of expertise and they did indeed come out very quickly, and finished the job on schedule. I guess I learned that you get what you pay for. My roof leaked in the EXACT SAME SPOT. Recently I had to call a different company to get it fixed and it was ACTUALLY fixed this time. I'm creating an account just to warn people.
