Inherited a stray kitten who was having constipation issues. Brought him in to be checked cause our regular vet was closed. I didn't make an appointment prior to coming in. They were quick to get us back and taken care of. The pricing was reasonable and way less than I had expected. Both the techs and the doctor were caring and friendly.

My cat in the exam room. She was so relaxed and everyone was so sweet to her.

I've been coming here for a while for both my dogs and my cat and they've always been very friendly and helpful trying to get me the best price possible. They were so sweet to my cat that she was just laying around and purring.

This place deserves zero stars for how disrespectfully I was treated. I showed up at 8:00 AM for a confirmed 8:10 spay appointment for my cat. The doors were locked, and staff showed up late. When we finally walked in, the front desk girl immediately snapped, "You're crowding," in the most condescending tone -- as if we were doing something wrong just for waiting outside their office to open. No greeting. No professionalism. I told her we had a spay appointment, and she rudely cut me off with, "We don't spay on weekends," even though I had text confirmation from their own number giving pre-op instructions. She didn't bother to listen or help -- just rolled her eyes and acted like I was bothering her. They had asked me for all my cat's info via text, but none of it was in the system. After all that, when I declined to reschedule for months later, I walked away and forgot my ID. She sarcastically said, "Do you not want your ID?" Her attitude was beyond rude -- cold, sarcastic, and unhelpful. She made it clear she didn't care about helping or even being polite. I've never been treated with so much disrespect at a vet office. If this is how they treat people at the front desk, I don't want to know how they treat the animals.

UPDATE: The person response received disciplinary actions. We received a reimbursement for any hospital visits after the first surgery. They handled the situation appropriately and professionally.

Update: Cedar is our go to vet. They are a bit pricier due to being open later on most vets, but they will work with you and options if you need. One service they offer that is not listed is cremation. Our cat of 15 years, Nana passed away naturally at our home on 1/29/25. We didn't know Cedar offered cremation services so we called Coda with her body still in my arms and got disconnected. We walked into Cedar and they quickly took care of us. They offered public cremation where pets are cremated with others and they spread their ashes and private cremation which you get a wooden box with their ashes. We opted for the private cremation and her paw print. They included her nose print as well as her fur. I think she was lighter than 11lbs, but that's what I said she was and it costed around $290. They said 15 days, but it was quicker. Thank you Cedar Vet for taking care of my baby. I'm so glad she is home now.

I brought my dog, Peaches, here after she had already been seen by two other veterinarians the week before. The first vet prescribed antibiotics for what they believed was an infection, but after several days there was no improvement, and she began having bloody discharge. I then took her to another veterinarian, who referred us to an internist. They suspected a foxtail may have somehow made its way into her vaginal area, but after not finding one, they worried she might have a polyp or even a mass that could be benign or cancerous. Needless to say, I was terrified. As soon as I got home, I started calling the internists they recommended, but unfortunately, the earliest appointment I could get was a week away. In the meantime, the bleeding became worse, so I decided to take Peaches to the ER at Fresno Veterinary Specialists. It was the best decision I could have made. From the moment we walked in, everyone was kind and welcoming. We waited about an hour or two, which I completely understood, knowing there were other pets in need of urgent care. Once we were called back, the technician took the time to ask questions and gather information. Shortly afterward, Dr. Randy came in. He was thorough, compassionate, and genuinely concerned about Peaches. He explained what he thought might be going on and recommended sedating her so he could get a better look. I'm so grateful he did because he found a foxtail deeply embedded in her vaginal wall! He removed it, sent her home with antibiotics, and, to be safe, recommended that we still keep our appointment with the internist. Thankfully, the bleeding stopped the very next day and has not returned. Peaches is now back to her sweet, happy self. We did keep the appointment with the internist, and after examining Peaches, they agreed that no further procedures were necessary and that she appeared to be in good health. I can't thank Dr. Randy and the entire team at Fresno Veterinary Specialists enough for the exceptional care they provided. They gave me peace of mind and, most importantly, helped my sweet girl get back to feeling like herself again. Thank you all so much!

During this visit and the phone call made to this Emergency Vet on 12/27 about the ongoing incident we had an extremely positive experience with! The staff and Veterinarian we dealt with on 12/29 were professional, kind, caring and genuine! We are from Lake Havasu so being out of town in a place we aren't familiar with while having to deal with our pups emergency issue brought upon stress and uncertainty. But because of this Emergency Vet clinic and the staff who helped us on 12/29, our nerves were put at ease and we felt a huge sense of relief! Emergency vet clinics are a busy place and people have to understand when they arrive to exercise patience as the Vet has to categorize each pet (patient) from critical to minor medical concerns. So it may take some extra time to be seen. This is common sense which I know is not as abundant in today's world lol So with that being said, I assure you Fresno Vet Specialty and Emergency Center has a professional and caring staff who are capable to attending to your animals needs! Their establishment was clean, presentable and their accommodations were pleasant! We sincerely Thank you for taking care of our Siggy and making us feel at ease!!!

Armstrong Animal Hospital was able to get us in within about three hours, which we truly appreciated. Because Khloe is a senior cat, the doctor recommended being thorough. They performed a full exam, bloodwork, X-rays, and a urinalysis to rule out anything serious. All of her results came back normal, which was incredibly reassuring. Dr. Sunamar Deol took the time to explain the results clearly and walk us through what they meant, rather than just listing numbers. Dr. Deol explained that they would treat the situation conservatively as an upset stomach and nausea, and prescribed exactly what Khloe needed without over-treating. We felt listened to, informed, and supported throughout the visit. Nothing felt rushed or dismissive, and the plan made sense based on her symptoms and test results. One week later, Khloe is completely back to her normal self -- eating and drinking well, sleeping with us again, and showing her full personality. We're very grateful for Dr. Deol's thoughtful care and Armstrong Animal Hospital's ability to step in quickly when we needed help. We would absolutely recommend them, especially for senior pets who need careful, attentive evaluation.
