I just wanted to give an update as to why his organs had failed which was because he was not placed on a heating pad while under the care of 24/7 let clinic. The vet at Cedar clinic told us it was vital that Flaco was placed on heating pads to maintai

They were very caring in sending my dog to his next life. My sister brought him in because I was too emotional Thank you.I would love to have a canine friend again. If anyone has a friend who only needs a small backyard but would like to have daily walks in a safe neighborhood let me know. Dewolf and Ashlan area.

    Threatening voicemail

Last night I found a cat that had been hit by a car, unmoving but alive. We immediately took her to a vet in Clovis but they told us to go here. Given that it was 8:40 PM, there was nowhere else to go - so we went. They were immediately super standoffish and just carried this condescending/annoyed tone with me the whole time. The process was simple, they took her back and we signed some Good Samaritan paperwork and we went home. However when we got home I received this threatening voicemail claiming that since the cat was found in Clovis it wasn't their problem and I had to pick her up, or else my info would be given to Clovis PD and I'd be charged with abandonment. WHAT??? So I save this cat from the street to keep it from dying alone in the dark, and so she might have a fighting chance, after some other person hit her and left her and they treat me like a criminal due to a line on the map? I don't have the resources or skill to save a cat's life from trauma and they were the only vet that would take her. How was I supposed to know that they only save lives if they're from Fresno? I called back and someone was very vague with me and just said they couldn't give any updates on the cat as it was now city property. Hopefully they stabilized and treated her even though she's from Clovis. Good grief. If you can go ANYWHERE else, go there.

My dog, Teddi hurt his back, somehow. He was howling in pain. They gave him pain meds, a muscle relaxer, and my pooch is now on bedfest.

When my dog Teddi had a back injury, they were very helpful. The vet was very knowledgeable. The front desk was polite. The night I came in they had a lot of patients and a few emergency cases, but were very sweet and walked me through the steps. They kept me updated about everything that they were doing. Thank you everyone for your help.

This is Missy she was wonderful and so sweet.

Well they have very knowledgeable and very well trained vets there who can handle anything that comes through their door. They saved my dog twice unfortunately the last time she was just too bad off with a pericardial effusion caused by a tumor posterior to her heart and she died in my arms when I got her home but they absolutely did their best and I totally recommend them when your pet is BAD off. This is an emergency clinic and if your pet can wait, go to Olive veterinary. Emergency services are VERY EXPENSIVE so don't take your pet there for anything except a true emergency.

During this visit and the phone call made to this Emergency Vet on 12/27 about the ongoing incident we had an extremely positive experience with! The staff and Veterinarian we dealt with on 12/29 were professional, kind, caring and genuine! We are from Lake Havasu so being out of town in a place we aren't familiar with while having to deal with our pups emergency issue brought upon stress and uncertainty. But because of this Emergency Vet clinic and the staff who helped us on 12/29, our nerves were put at ease and we felt a huge sense of relief! Emergency vet clinics are a busy place and people have to understand when they arrive to exercise patience as the Vet has to categorize each pet (patient) from critical to minor medical concerns. So it may take some extra time to be seen. This is common sense which I know is not as abundant in today's world lol So with that being said, I assure you Fresno Vet Specialty and Emergency Center has a professional and caring staff who are capable to attending to your animals needs! Their establishment was clean, presentable and their accommodations were pleasant! We sincerely Thank you for taking care of our Siggy and making us feel at ease!!!

Looking at her paw we found a puncture wound in between two toes on her right paw. There was a literal tunnel going up into her paw. Liberty had been running around while we were camping the weekend before. I know all my dog lovers are screaming, "It's a foxtail!!" right about now. Yes, we were very confident it was a foxtail. May 29, 2025, my husband took Liberty to the Banfield office located at 3220 W. Shaw, Fresno, Ca. 93711, which had the soonest appointment available. My husband shared our concern of a foxtail. He provided authorization for all needed care to identify what was wrong (x-ray, probing, etc.). Our girl was limping bad, and we just wanted to get her fixed up asap. Liberty was treated by Dr. Colleen Lyons that day. Dr. Lyons informed my husband it appeared Liberty punctured her foot with a rock or stick, and it only needed to be flushed. She advised my husband against the x-ray and probing. They only post visit instructions provided were to keep the wound clean and dry and give the prescribed antibiotics and pain meds. This visit cost us $250.73. June 18, 2025, my husband took Liberty back to Banfield because a puss filled bump had formed on her paw. This time we made an appointment at the 7512 N. Blackstone, Fresno, Ca. 93720 location. Liberty was still taking antibiotics and pain medicines from her last visit. My husband explained she was previously seen on May 29th and again we were concerned there was a foxtail. Liberty was treated by Dr. Mashawn Orth. Dr. Orth stated Liberty would need to be put under anesthesia, have x-rays, and if the foxtail is unrecoverable, she will need to be referred out. Dr. Orth did find a foxtail in Liberty's foot and was able to successfully extract it. The second visit cost us $771.88. WHY DIDN'T THE FIRST VET DO THIS?!?! Again, my husband approved authorization to figure out what was wrong. Our poor Liberty!! Liberty is an important member of our family, and this experience has been very stressful. Foxtails are a serious threat and can cause very serious, even possible life-threatening issues. I'm just so angry this was overlooked the first visit. My husband asked for the number for Corporate because obviously we were not pleased the first vet provided such negligent care. The Blackstone office provided us with the 1-888-649-2716. We called and spoke to someone by the name of Alvi. We asked him if he would be able to help us with our concerns (we wanted a refund for one of the visits and out of our Wellness Plan) or if we needed to speak to his manager. He just told us we would have to pay money to get out of our Wellness Plan and he refused to transfer us to a manager. I swear I felt like I was in the twilight zone. The customer service, horrific. My husband and I called back and spoke to a lovely woman named Christina, she was very understanding and apologized we had a negative experience and provided us with the email (banfieldcares@banfield.com) that complaints need to be sent to. Finally, someone seemed to care. We emailed Banfield asking to speak to Corporate and they sent our message to the local Fresno office where Dr. Lyon's is the vet. After speaking to the manager and another vet they said the only relief they could provide for our experience was a refund for the second round of antibiotics and pain medication. They said their protocol was followed correctly. Protocol was followed correctly?? You have a golden retriever limping badly and they think she stubbed her paw on a rock or stick?? Come on?! There was obviously something in her paw causing her so much pain. So, I'm just warning you, if this is their protocol.. stay away!! I emailed Banfield again and stated the local office was not addressing our concerns to our satisfaction and wanted someone from Corporate to contact us and here we are waiting. Not a single word from anyone. Banfield is ghosting one of their customers because they don't want to deal with them. Sort of like their vet that didn't want to deal with investigating why my Liberty was limping! So, here I am venting to the world. I figured I would post something on social media and report their negligent veterinarian to the vet medical board and see if I can get someone's attention that way. I will keep you all posted on if I hear from Banfield.

I hope I can help someone else save money or from going through a similar negative experience. I have been to this clinic three times, and unfortunately each visit was worse than the last. While the exam fee of $30 initially seemed affordable, I was always left confused when my total bill ended up close to $500 each time without clear explanations of what was being done or specifically why. Although I did ask questions, I accepted their responses because I didn't know any better at the time. During the first visit, my dog was extremely lethargic and would yelp in pain from touching his lower abdomen. We left without any real diagnosis or explanation for his symptoms. The doctor simply prescribed medication, and gave him some shots. I never received a clear understanding of what was wrong with my dog. The second visit was for an ear infection. Both the doctor and a male assistant handled my dog roughly while he was clearly scared. They did not take time to ease him into the exam or help him feel comfortable, even though he was under a year old and this was only his second vet visit. I tried to comfort him the most I could but they did not play their part. He got some shots, a small sedation for an ear cleaning, an ear cleaning solution, and medications. I later realized some of the stuff I was charged for was unnecessary for a mild ear infection. Our most recent visit last week was for a large lump that had formed from an injury. By this point, my dog was already very fearful when arriving at the clinic. He ran away twice from them when they took him back and hid under the front desk, I have never seen him like this. However, the same male assistant handled my dog roughly again, pulling on his leash while he was panicking. In the process, my dog hit his head while trying to get away. He was muzzled while already terrified, and I became concerned that this experience would create fear-based aggression. I truly believe this is not the correct way to approach a frightened dog. There was no attempt to go slowly, offer reassurance, or build trust.I had warned the staff before hand that he was extremely scared, but they still handled him in a way that made the situation worse. The doctor did not clearly explain what the lump was. He simply stated they would drain it and "hope it goes down." No one explained whether it was infection, fluid buildup, or what may have caused it internally. After giving him a sedative, they drained the lump, but again, there was no clear communication about what they found or what the next steps would be. The lump returned in two days, I truly think they didn't do anything that actually helped. I had to call the clinic myself to ask what the doctor thought was going on, what the next steps should be, and to get clarification on concerns I had after we got home. One assistant that day was kind and gentle, and I appreciated her. She also did go into detail of what medication we were taking home and the instructions for them, I think that was the most care we received was from her. As a first time dog owner, I didn't initially know what was reasonable in terms of pricing, professionalism, and proper care. I gave this clinic multiple chances because I thought the costs were normal. However, after seeking a second opinion at another veterinary clinic in Fresno when the lump returned, I quickly realized how different the experience could be. At the new clinic, the cost was hundreds of dollars less for even better care. The staff was patient, understanding of my dog's fear from his previous experiences at care veterinary, and did not force handling. They offered treats, took their time, and worked to make him comfortable. Although my dog showed fear aggression, something that was never an issue before these previous visits they still handled him with compassion and care. I feel terrible about what my dog experienced, but I am grateful we found a clinic that treats him with kindness and transparency. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this care veterinary. Clear communication, gentle handling, and reasonable pricing are essential, and unfortunately, we did not receive that here.
