After some poking around here on Yelp last week for an LMT I came across Jennifer. read the reviews and was hopeful I had found someone who could help. as luck would have it Jennifer was absolutely perfect. got to the place her studio is located and found my way to the waiting room. Jennifer came down and took me upstairs to her spacious studio and I was instantly at ease. we then talked about what I was experiencing and she had me do some stretches to gauge what I needed. so not the typical "where does it hurt? OK face down I'll be right back". She listened, poked around, and worked on all the right spots. this is the first time in a month my wrist does not ache! Jennifer is good at what she does and I am grateful such talented people exist.

After making the appointment online, I sent a message asking if I could change it from 60 to 90 minutes. I was surprised and delighted to get a "yes" response from Jennifer only a minute later. This was my first visit to Massage by Brocx and only my second time getting a professional massage. Jennifer took the time to find out all the areas where I needed help and asked follow up questions to make sure she really understood. Being only my second massage, Jennifer did a great job communicating throughout the massage and made me feel really comfortable. She had an intuitive sense of where I needed more pressure and when to back off. The office environment is very quiet and relaxing which added to my overall experience. The thing I appreciated most was that she listened to me but then applied her skill and training to work not just the specific areas I mentioned but also all the places I needed but didn't even know it. I wish I could afford to go more, but overall it is a great value for the money and the skill being offered.

I took aspects of that practice with me into this bodywork session and it served me well. There were points that hurt incredibly but I would just breath right into her thumb and subsequently breath into parts of my body I had never felt my breath in before. It was an amazing experience to say the least. I left feeling like my boundaries were really affirmed while being gently led to release a lot of pain and hurt and soreness from my body. I didn't even tell her what my profession was and she was able to tell the areas that cause me discomfort throughout the week. She targeted the areas of concern and intensely concentrated on them. I loved that she offered essential oils and there was no additional charge for them. The hot stone addition was relaxing and made me feel like a pat of butter on freshly made toast. The setting was exquisite, the massage expertise unbeatable, and the price incredibly competitive and worth every dime. I also did something crazy to my left shoulder and it was killing me and I couldn't feel my fingers in my left hand. It doesn't hurt at all anymore and everything feels normal again! It's also difficult for me to trust all sorts of medical professionals, including massage therapists because it's a very vulnerable position to be in, especially when you are already in pain. Jo makes it easy to feel safe and relaxed because she's so professional, communicative and gentle. I'm impressed and super thankful. Highly recommended!
