Well we never did get our receipt via email so the next morning we saw his truck and my husband walked over and asked fir a receipt! He gave us a hand written receipt of sorts for 58.00 even including tax?? By that time we just left since no one was in the office again and Rick was weed eating along the roadway! This just does not seem to be the way to run a business! If you want to be with Good Sam's then honor the discount legitimately and provide a credit card receipt! We won't be back!

We had a great experience both times. The amenities are really excellent. Bathrooms were clean and showers were great. They just recently opened the pool year-round and the kids had a fun time splashing around. The kids also enjoyed the small playground after a day in the truck. The owner and staff are extremely nice and take great pride in the place. They texted us in the afternoon of our first stay to coordinate our arrival. When we got there, they explained that since we have a truck camper they put us in a spot close to the facilities and away from the road. They knew we would appreciate the quiet and the shorter walk to the bathrooms. Very thoughtful! The afternoon of our trip back through, they texted us to let us know that we had the same site with the same access code for that evening. It was seamless. The location is also great. It is close to I-40 with easy on and off. It feels safe behind locked gates and thick walls. Noise at night was minimal, considering the urban location. Just across the main road, there are many options to eat, which was great when we didn't feel like cooking. Multiple gas stations are also close. There is a truck stop nearby and one of the nights there were many big rigs parked on the road, but they made no difference to the experience of staying on the property. We only saw a few other people during our stays. They were friendly and everyone just kept to themselves. It was tough to judge how many residents are long-term versus short-term, but I did notice some turnover between our Saturday and Wednesday stays. Overall, I strongly recommend Birdie if you need a place to stay in Albuquerque! We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

We stayed here a year or so ago when they first opened and were the only ones at the park, but this time the place is almost completely full! They have many fifth wheels and tow campers here that are set up for long-term with big propane tanks and such. However, I will say it is one of the neatest and clean long-term Park we've seen along this trip. We paid $47 for this one night stay plus tax for full hook ups on a pull through site. They have a very nice laundry room that has six washers and six dryers for six dollars a load. You pay for the washer in the dryer is free. There is a workout room that is attached to that building as well with some equipment, including a treadmill, an elliptical and some weights however the weight pin was stuck so you couldn't adjust the weight. There was plenty of space if you needed to do any type of Pilates video or something, lots of room for that. There are really no trees or anything here and you are next to a farm so it was nice to wake up next to the cows. We did not really hear any highway noise, although it was quite windy last night. You book online and make sure you check your email the day you arrive as you will need all of the information in that email. It isn't a typical camp where you check in at an office, you're giving all the instructions and email including the gate code to access. The map of the facility is on their website so you can locate your space that you're assigned an email. There were three different Wi-Fi connections available, but we couldn't get any of them to work. When we called they said they had been having problems for over a week, no one had come out yet and the owner has been ill or something so if you need Wi-Fi, you may want to have an alternative solution. Verizon signal was just OK If you are traveling with horses, this is your perfect stop as they have stalls for horses!

After spending several hours in a rest area I contacted the Longhorn Ranch rv park to see if we could spend the weekend there until we could get our truck repaired. They were not officially open yet but said they would accommodate us with no problem. They met us on the back of a tow truck at night and directed us into their park. We met the whole family the next morning and they offered to help us any way possible which included repairing a major water leak in our plumbing. They also made arrangements to get the part we needed to repair our truck and suggested a competent repair shop close by to do the repair for us. We can't thank them enough for all the help they provided us and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stop there next year on our way through and visit the family. I've hiked, driven my car, and taking the tram several times. The tram way is by far the quickest and easiest. Lol. As a woman who was afraid of heights, I put myself in many high places. Yet even for me, the tram was not scary. It certainly is high. Somehow though, I've always felt secure. Moving at 15 miles an hour, you're at the top before you know it. This time we went to dinner and watched the sunset. Coming down after dark was an interesting experience. There is plenty of parking at the bottom, and plenty of space to spread out at the top. This is a phenomenal piece of engineering holds up to 50 people at one time!

This was an awesome experience to ride the 2nd longest tram in the world up to the top!…read more First of all, the day we rode was the 60th annual celebration of the tram. Thus, our tickets were all 50% off. We found out we'd be riding the third generation. It's been so long since I last visited the tram that I probably rode the second generation. It's roomy! Even with the 60th celebration, our wait wasn't extremely long. I believe there are about 30 people on each ride, but I didn't count. I was hoping I didn't feel crammed and it wasn't too bad. Once you're up there, it's amazing to be so far above the ground. On the way up, our 'captain' gave us a bit of trivia about the area, the tram, and our trip up. At some point, you'll pass the other tram coming down, which gives you an idea of how fast you're really going! Wow. Once at the top, it's about 10 degrees cooler. Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt. You can choose to hike a trail that begins on the back side of the restaurant. You'll see the ski lifts and options for different hikes. OR, you can grab a drink from the Ten 3 restaurant and check out the views. We put our name on the list to eat and sipped on cocktails during the wait. It was nice and relaxing up there at the top! We ate at Ten 3 (our wait was 30 minutes) then made our way down. Our guide on the way down didn't say a word, but I suppose it's the same as the way up. There's only one bench on the tram so if you have trouble standing make sure you let it be known. My mom sat going and coming. When you're back at the bottom there's another restaurant if you'd like to eat there instead. They also have a gift shop with some Sandia Tramway, and Albuquerque memorabilia. It's a cute shop. I bought a few items. It's a nice trip. I've ridden before, but it's been so long I don't even remember. Check it out.
