But I usually have one of the milk shakes you make by putting the frozen shake in a blender and out comes one of the best shakes ever. The store is usually very clean, especially the bathrooms. They are some of the cleanest public restrooms I've ever been in. This isn't true of all their stores however. I was in Destin, FL (about 30 minutes away) last week and went to the Tom Thumb there. It was not very clean in general and there was NO toilet paper in the bathroom. But my Tom Thumb on Hwy 285 in Niceville is great. One of my favorite things is the reward points for discounts on gas. It is really fun to pay $1.00 per gallon less then those who don't use the program. It is well worth using the rewards card just like most stores are using these days. I'm glad I have a Tom Thumb so close by but I'd drive further if necessary just to use the rewards card and talk to some of the nicest people ever hired to take care of the store.

They constantly screw something up in it usually involves a minimum of a 20 minute wait. With respect to Covid testing, they fail you just the same. I have been in line for over 45 minutes for my C19 test appointment and it has barely moved. There are no signs of life in the drive-through window either. They also state that it will take at least 2 to 3 days for test results when my parents went to their primary care doctor in Chicago and were given results within eight hours: PCR test results. CVS sucks!!!! They should not be allowed to offer Covid testing, which by the way is self administered. Go somewhere else even if it costs you money.

Non-existent gluten-free options for celiacs like me, so you're going to be stuck needing to buy everything on Walmart's website to be shipped to your house. This place is right down the street from a military base, not in the middle of Timbuktu. Even the Walmart near White Sands in New Mexico (which is much more remote) had an extensive gluten-free section. What gives? This Walmart does have a section for Louisiana products, including crawfish boiling seasoning, roux starters and Cafe Du Monde beignet mix. Also, this Walmart has the pharmacy and grocery on the same side of the building (left if you're facing the front doors from the parking lot.) I ended up buying a Bug Bite Thing ($10) and mosquito itch cream ($4) at this location because, well, it's Florida and you'll need it if you visit. Visited May 2024.

I really liked the design of the triangular Pre-made Deli, Sushi, and Cut to order cold meats & cheeses. Polite, efficient service made my stop here very pleasant. Other aisles were standard design and all were neatly stocked. I found everything I came to buy (big weekly list). And yes, I was enticed to pick up one or two "impulse" buys. The weekly BOGO specials are a great incentive here. Prices can be a little higher than other stores for some items. Then again, you often "get what you pay for" and higher prices aren't necessarily dictated by the stores themselves. Many factors go into today's higher prices. Service can be spotty at times, but my experience on my most recent trip was 3/4 star at this Publix. Nonetheless, overall this store merited a 5 star review this week.
