They had everything stocked when we got to the commissary and tons of options to choose from unlike other commissaries. Click to Go is the very best service that I can imagine. Order on line go to commissary at appointed time, park, call and the put groceries in your car. No tips. Wait time in parking space usually about 5 minutes. I have used service about 25 times. I am 87. read more

The Eglin AFB commissary Deli has just awful customer service, the few times I have been there it's been employees giving me bad attitudes. One deli/bakery worker name Zach Thacker is the worst employee of them all. How I've seen him talk to customers and coworkers it's a big surprise he even has his job. I really wish management would do something about him but it just goes to show how bad management is if they're letting him run loose like a 40 year old over weight child with a beard. Let a person like him be a lesson, putting misery on other people won't heal your suffering. Zach Thacker needs serious therapy, it'd be a life changer for him. read more

Great place for groceries for all military, veterans, disabled veterans, dependents& civilian government employees to shop at. Had everything we needed, this store was low on eggs and chicken, which is most likely because of the bird flu in the news. Almost no wait at checkout, very clean, orderly with great staff. Produce section very good, fresh, had a variety of citrus because, hey, you ARE in Florida. Plenty of parking. Store is in the same parking lot as The Exchange, UPS store, Class 6 Liqour, Burger Jung & Satellite Drive Thru Pharmacy. read more

Eglin AFB Commissary is good sized, well stocked commissary with a wide variety of products. The staffers are friendly and courteous. The hours are good, from 8am-7 pm 6 days of the week. It's conveniently next to the Eglin main exchange which is a well stocked exchange with a great food court with a Starbucks and several different food stores in addition to various vendors in the entrance area. I highly recommend both for food and general merchandise shopping. read more

Great Commissary. Very good vegetarian selection. The produce area is large and has a good selection of items but many times they are not as fresh or visually appealing as they could be. There is a deli, bakery, and olive bar here. There is also a very small area to get sushi to go. The foreign food selection is incredible. There is also a substantial supply of foods for those with common food allergies (a bunch are on the vitamin aisle- Enjoy Life brand among others). Another favorite area of mine is at the beginning of the baby aisle- they have all the natural and organic beauty and toiletries items here. Overall, this is one of my favorite commissaries. I've been to a bunch and I have seen better but---- oh boy have I seen worse! Such as in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska's a decade ago. Very very slim pickings to say the least! Eglin's active duty are VERY fortunate (we are retired). One last thing, the commissary often has a nice selection of live plants for sale at great prices as you walk in the main entrance as well as in the produce section. read more

The Eglin Commissary is a nice place to shop. They have a reasonable selection and I have discovered some quality brands here that I hadn't seen before. When we PCS'd here I requested them to stock some popular items. The manager looked into it for me but couldn't because the items weren't on some pre-determined list. Oh well. I just went to Publix which is an excellent off base grocery store and FYI also the place to go for fresh catfish. I'm the resident food police in my household and the commissary gets a "C" in the department of fresh organic vegetables. If you're new here, google "OFF THE VINE" for that. The commissary here has a good selection of everything I would want. This is probably more important to people who live on base. Plus the service I've received here has been great. Again, shopping here is limited to military personnel! The commissary is larger than the hurlburt commissary but they don't have the same things. It is cheap to get groceries and about as far as Hurlburt from where we live. The staff is nice and courteous! They have fresh coconuts that you can buy, crack and drink the water! read more

The Eglin Commissary is no different than any other commissary; however out doesn't close on Monday as most DECA Commissarys do.

Went there today and found that it is one of the better commissaries that we have seen. They had an excellent choice of fresh herbs and vegetables and it looks like we will be shopping here at least once a month. The only issue we had was a couple of the wives we ran into while there. I don't get why some of these wives they are the "General in charge of the commissary". While most ladies and gentlemen understand this why the commissary is there a select few that think they are more important than they are. I hate to break it to them, but everyone's money spends the same there. At the end of the day, the few fail to realize that the commissary is there for all Ranks to use. I will not let their poor behavior dictate my thoughts of the store or the PX. Sorry for rambling.... read more

Meat department is really great! Vegetable department is not so good. Yesterday I bought 2 tomatoes and this morning there were white worms crawling out of them. All the shelves are well stocked but variety on many items are limited. Best of all, the prices are well below Walmart. read more
