I was very disappointed with our experience at this pediatric dentistry in Celebration. My daughter was referred here because she has three cavities, and I expected a good treatment plan. However, the dentist told me she only had one cavity and suggested taking the tooth out instead of fixing it, which didn't make sense to me. As a parent, I felt uncomfortable with that plan and decided to get a second opinion the same day. The new dentist took fresh X-rays and confirmed that my daughter actually had three cavities -- the same number found by her previous dentist -- and even discovered one big one that needed to be treated right away. This second dentist fixed all three cavities immediately and was very caring and professional. I do not recommend this office based on our experience. The diagnosis and treatment plan here were utterly different from those of the other two dentists, and I'm glad I trusted my instincts and went elsewhere. I wish I could publish the X-ray of my daughter, but I will not. read more

After so many years of going to this office, it was the first time we felt a lack of empathy. Absolutely dissatisfied with the dentist approach and delivery of news and sent off to a regular dentist. I have an almost 6 year old who was not taken to a dentist until this last year, due to her having some sensory issues (mostly oral) and because of my own personal dental PTSD issues. Once she started loosing her baby teeth, we knew it was time. The dental assistants and dentists at this practice are AMAZING. They are kind. They are patient. They are understanding of her sensory issues and my personal issues. We just started taking my 15 month old there as well and they did so well with him, also, even when he was screaming and crying because it was confusing for someone of his age. As long as they continue to take our insurance and keep the same staffing, we will continue to come back time and time again with our kids because we are so happy with this practice. Also, they have TVs and games to keep the kids busy which is a HUGE plus for us. read more

Seriously the best dentist ever, hands down. If I had a dentist like Dr. Gooch growing up, I would have actually enjoyed going to the dentist. He and his staff are incredibly patient, on time, super nice, and just down right awesome. They actually keep you informed as they are working on you, telling you every step of the process. They even let my younger son watch as the older ones teeth were cleaned. We have two boys and tend to book there appointments together. It has been said in a few other reviews, but there are TV's and video games as well as other activities for the younger ones. They take kids all the way up to age 18. One word that I noticed keeps coming up in review after review for Dr. Gooch is: the "best" after bringing my two kids here twice, I absolutely agree. He has such a great rapport with small children. My four year-old boy is speech delayed and has some behavior issues. He was giving the assistant a hard time when she was trying to brush his teeth. She couldn't have been sweeter, by the way, he just didn't want to cooperate, and tends to misbehave in unfamiliar situations. When Dr. Gooch arrived to look at him, my son opened his mouth and let him take a look. My little girl responded well to him also, and was actually looking forward to this visit because she had such a pleasant experience the first time. Both the Dr. and his assistance staff carefully explain everything they do and ask permission before performing a more complicated procedure. My little boy might need some work done but Dr. Gooch suggested we hold off unless the child is in pain. He of course, gave me the option to get it taken care of, and explained in detail the pros and cons of getting it done verses waiting. Since my child would need to be sedated, I chose to hold off for now. Rest assured, that you will not be pressured into expensive and potentially unnecessary procedures like many offices tend to do to boost profits. The waiting room is very kid friendly, the reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I can not recommend Celebration Pediatric Dentistry enough. read more

We have been going here for a couple of years. Great location friendly staff and usually the wait isnt too long. The only thing I had to get used to was a communal space where you can sit and see the other children getting their teeth cleaned. However now it's not an issue. I honestly think it helps the younger kids see what goes on for routine cleanings and eases their nervousness. First of all gigantic beautiful animal mural in lobby. 4 iPads for games and two game stations. When they take you to the chair for cleaning they then take the kid and parents can go or stay to get pictures of their teeth. While they are getting their cleaning exam they kids have individual TV's with movies playing for them to watch. And they gi e them sunglasses so the bright light doesnt bother them. The dentist comes by to check to see how it went looks at x rays. They are so calm and talk to the kids first which is awesome. On the way out each kid gets a bag with floss, new tooth brush, and all AND a token for being good. As you exit while parents pay ask questions or set up next appointment, they have token machines for them to pick what tiny toy they want. They also do a drawing for the cavity free club. My daughter wants to be a part of it which helps me to enforce her dental routine. If you cant tell.... Completely satisfied and extremely happy that we found this company. They have multiple locations but this is for the celebration location. read more

This is a great pediatric dental office... Everything is digital, up-to-date, crazy speedy and every one is super nice. The dental chairs are more like beds, and they have a flat screen TV hanging above them. Small fry was in a cartoon induced coma whilst getting her chompers cleaned. Dr. Gooch is a soft spoken man, but asks relevant questions and is insanely good with children. I never feel rushed while asking questions and Dr. Gooch includes your child in the conversation. Although an older child might feel uncomfortable in this office, for the 0 - 11 set it's perfect! I appreciate that the front desk staff takes care of all the dental insurance "stuff" and the only thing I have to do is make the next appointment! Also of note is being able to fill out all your new patient paperwork on line, and the insistent appointment reminders via text and email. I love the decor in this place when you walk in. If you are waiting, there are plenty of things for kids to do, including video games which I personally think is really neat. I love how they put fancy sunglasses on the kids while they watch cartoons while laying down while their teeth are being cleaned. And what can I say about the most important thing, the dentist? Dr. Gooch is very friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and very good with children. I am so pleased with the place, that I would recommend it to anyone with kids. read more

I have 3 kids that have attended this facility. Every single time they try to get more money out of us. No matter if it's just a cleaning or a procedure. They all had cleanings together, of coarse they wanted to do more than what is needed, I said no. Well they came back and said they will do it for "free". it's not free, they still bill the insurance. The latest is one of my girls had a chipped tooth, no cavity just a chipped tooth. Went in and saw Dr. Thanh and he did the procedure to fix the chipped tooth. well turns out he is the dentist that isn't in network, never did anyone tell me that. i I even asked why this was so much more than it should be, they kept telling me they couldn't reach insurance or their billing dept. what a bunch of BS! They are a scam! I will NEVER take my kids there again! They will scam anyone they can! Wish I could give them no stars! Of coarse billing won't answer when I call either. Unreal! So disappointed with Dr. Gooch and his "standard office policy". I have been bringing my children there for the last 11 years. My 7 year old just went to an orthodontist and it was recommended that she have 3 baby teeth extracted. I called the office, they explained that she would be given a sedative which would keep her awake but she wouldn't know what was happening and probably wouldn't remember going to the dentist at all. It was then that they brought up the "standard office policy" that parents are not allowed in the room during the procedure. I was told that it is a "quite room" and that the dr's and tech's are the only ones allowed in the room. I explained that I can't just allow my semi-conscious child into a room alone with strangers. With everything going on in the news we have to know what is going on, I wasn't asking to stand directly in the way to hold my baby's hand and cause problems. I just wanted my husband or I to be present to make sure she is ok. The person on the phone put me on a quick hold to make sure that the policy would stand even with my discomfort, and she came back to say that Dr. Gooch would not allow me in the room. I think with the discovery of the gymnastic scandal Dr.'s (especially Dr.'s with children of their own) would be more understanding. I realize they have a job to do and having an additional person in the room isn't standard, but the rules need to change! His job is patient care, my job is my child's safety and by refusing to allow us, in the room, or able to watch through the door put's her safety in question. This child would be so out of it she wouldn't even know if something happens to tell me about it. I realize not everyone is scum that can't be trusted, but I am sure the mothers of child victims thought their doctors could be trusted as well. So it is sad that after 11 years I have to call another dentist, which I did and found someone the same distance away for me that will allow one of us in the room for procedures. I will no longer be recommending Dr. Gooch because of his out dated policy. read more

We were greeted by a very friendly staff who were great with my 2 year old and 4 year old. We had a very short wait to get started. My boys had a lot of fun playing with the toys, Xbox with flat screen tv's, and Nintendo DS. The staff encouraged me to come back with my kids if I wanted to and allowed them to sit on my lap if needed. The kids did great, the staff didn't do more than the kids could handle. Dr Gooch was very warm and friendly. I could tell immediately that he was very good with children. Dr Gooch explained everything to me clearly and left me with extra toothbrush's, mouthwash, floss, and toothpaste that the kids love. The kids had a great experience and Dr Gooch gave my sons a Token when they were finished which got them a toy. The boys didn't want to leave the office and they can't wait to go again. read more

Dr. Gooch was excellent with my children. My experience with the hygienist was fine. However, when I brought up an insurance issue with the billing department, I received absolutely no help! I left messages, my insurance company left a message, and no one ever called me back. I also left 2 messages for the office manager, and still received no response.
