Things changed after I was given a treatment plan in 2025. I had questions about recommended work and was told to email the owner/Doctor directly. I sent a detailed email but never received a response. At later visits, I continued to be pressured to proceed with the treatment plan even after declining. During one visit, the office manager even asked if I knew what a cavity was, which I found dismissive and insulting. I also noticed they wanted me to come in more frequently than my husband because I had older fillings they wanted to monitor. My previous dentist in New York never required extra visits for this, so I declined and kept my regular six-month schedule. The final straw came in 2026 when I went in for a routine cleaning. I explained I was having another doctor keep up with my fillings, I only wanted a cleaning. Instead, I was told by Amy that I had to get new X-rays first because the doctor could supposedly lose her license otherwise (which is a lie). When I questioned that explanation, I was then told it was because the doctor was new and needed updated X-rays. My previous X-rays were only about a year old, so this didn't make sense to me. Overall, the practice left me feeling like insurance billing and selling additional treatment had become a higher priority than patient care. Every visit involved pressure to accept treatment or orthodontic services, even after repeated refusals. After years of positive experiences with multiple dentists in New York, this was the first office where I felt I couldn't receive a simple cleaning without being pressured into additional procedures. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Flossophy.

She immediately asked if I was ok and if she needed to fit me in sooner than requested. The care was apparent and appreciated. Went to the practice today and the service was fantastic. Amy was just as kind in person on the intake. Mal was with me for X-rays and prep and she was out of this world. So caring and personable. She made the entire visit so comfortable. Then there's Dr Kevin. This guy is top tier. He came in, introduced himself, asked me about me and how I was feeling, spent as much time as I needed explaining what needed to happen, asked if I had any other questions, and took care of the tooth, filling, and everything. And while doing the debriding and filling he checked in to ensure I was still comfortable. I have a new dentist!!!

That being said, I did dock a star because I've gotten conflicting advice from different hygienists there. They've taken good care of my regular cleanings and helped me make a plan for better home care when needing. They've also helped me out with my veneers on my two front teeth (I was in a bike accident when I was 11) and helped ensure that they'd last since it can be challenging to align my bite. Their office is always clean and the staff process you very quickly.

The Windermere Center for Dentistry is a clean, welcoming office that's about a 20-minute drive for me--super convenient and right near downtown Windermere. The waiting area is simple and standard (no spa-like frills, but honestly, I'm not here for the magazines). The staff at the front desk are friendly and efficient, which makes the check-in process smooth every time. Where this office really shines is the dental team itself. Everyone I've worked with has been professional, kind, and genuinely good at what they do. Cleanings are thorough but not uncomfortable, and they recently upgraded their chairs to include pillows--which is a surprisingly nice touch of comfort when you're reclined for a while. Dr. Rapport is excellent. She's knowledgeable, attentive, and you can tell she cares about her patients' dental health. Sometimes it's a little tough to catch everything she says through the mask, but that's part of the times we're in. What matters is that she explains clearly, makes sure you're taken care of, and most importantly--she keeps me on track with my oral health. At the end of the day, it's a team effort: I do my part at home, and they keep me polished and on track here. As long as Dr. Rapport keeps being impressed with my teeth, I'll keep coming back with a smile. "My shiny teeth and me!"

The dentist at this practice said she needed a lot of work and most of it would be out of pocket because we were discouraged from anything than going to the hospital and having all the work done at once and needing our little girl be put under anesthetic and other things. This would have blown us out of the water financially, but they made us feel we had no choice. After much soul and internet searching, we came across Dr. Nadi at Downtown Dentistry. Wow! Bottom line: even though the work would need to be done every other week for 4 weeks, she would be able to use local anesthetic and not be nearly as invasive as the high end Baldwin Park pediatric dentist. The whole plan was explained to us and Dr. Nadi made sure to not only keep it positive, but actively engaged my girl in the discussion. And Coleen at the front desk made sure to work with our insurance to make sure the work would be covered as well as could be and the out of pocket cost for us would be a fraction of the other place. The best part: Dr. Nadi, Coleen, and her entire staff were not only top notch professional, but they all made my little girl feel like the most important person in that office. Let me explain: most dental practice, starting in the mid/late 90's, became what I called a churning machine w/ plenty of admin staff pushing for all kinds of unnecessary treatments. Growing in the 70'/80's, this practice resembles more of that instead. No aggressive sales or overpricing (since I am self pay). What I enjoy most, as a first time client, I was able to sign in, get treated and out the door in a quick professional manner.
