However, the dentist told me she only had one cavity and suggested taking the tooth out instead of fixing it, which didn't make sense to me. As a parent, I felt uncomfortable with that plan and decided to get a second opinion the same day. The new dentist took fresh X-rays and confirmed that my daughter actually had three cavities -- the same number found by her previous dentist -- and even discovered one big one that needed to be treated right away. This second dentist fixed all three cavities immediately and was very caring and professional. I do not recommend this office based on our experience. The diagnosis and treatment plan here were utterly different from those of the other two dentists, and I'm glad I trusted my instincts and went elsewhere. I wish I could publish the X-ray of my daughter, but I will not.

Upon leaving the child is given a coin to put in a giant gum ball machine with prizes and a dental goodie bag. The lobby is so clean and inviting with 2 arcade machines! All the paperwork is done on a iPad and takes less than 5 mins. They answer any and all questions and you don't feel rushed in anyway! I truly was given undivided attention for my child! In the midst of quarantine, virtually every kids' dental office near us was closed. We called all around and on a lark, found Clermont Children's Dentistry online. Dr. Tarver immediately opened up his office to help our child with his dental emergency. He gave us his personal cell phone. He and his wife were extremely professional and caring. They made our child comfortable. He reviewed the xrays and treatment plans with me in detail. I am familiar with dental xrays due to my profession. My husband's cousin is a dentist in another state and also confirmed the appropriateness of the plan in real time. I am also very well versed in conscious/procedural sedation protocols based on my profession and have performed hundreds myself. We had an in-depth discussion about the agents. Dr. Tarver had the appropriate resuscitation equipment, ACLS meds, reversal agent for versed and had my child on continuous pulseox with etco2 all readily available. His wife, a second dentist, was monitoring the conscious sedation while he was working in my son's mouth. I know exactly what should be available to sedate a child safely. And it was all followed to the letter at Clermont. I was permitted back with my child throughout the entire procedure but I realize that this may not occur with all parents due to potential disruptions. Parents should speak with Dr. Tarver regarding their specific case. He took his time with us and did not try to take advantage of us, which he very well could have done, given the current public health crisis. My husband and I are aware of various negative reviews and accounts online. We cannot speak to others' experiences but we felt it was important to share our very positive experience.

She took the time to understand both my concerns and my daughter's fears. From the moment we walked in, she made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. Her calm, gentle approach put her at ease right away. Amazingly, she was able to fill two cavities in one visit--and my daughter left with nothing but positive things to say.
