I'm a Cab drinker, but we tasted his Rosé, two Pinots and a Cab. All were either gold or double gold award winners and each were outstanding! Probably the best wine we have ever had the pleasure of sampling. I ended up purchasing a nice bottle of Rosé to bring home. Although, I would have bought a bottle of each of the wines we tasted if I had room in my suitcase. Yes, they were that good! In addition, Peter is very knowledgeable about wine making in general and the Carneros region specifically. So, it was a bit of an education for me as I am fascinated by the process and love Sonoma. The wine tasting area is relaxing with a nice view of the vineyard at the front of the property and an organic farm at the back. An added bonus is that you get to enjoy the company of Peter's four white Labs: Harry, Meghan, Archie and Buttercup. They made the experience not only unique but extra special. We are looking forward to enjoying that bottle of Rosé with a nice Charcuterie and cheese board on a Spring evening sometime soon!

We called to let them know we'd be late, and they were incredibly understanding, which immediately eased my stress. They offer a few different wine flight options to choose from, as well as meats, cheese, and a charcuterie board for purchase. A couple of the listed items weren't available that day, but they happily created a custom board for us instead. It ended up being the perfect size for our group of four. I was the DD so I wasn't drinking, but I really appreciated the thoughtful service. They brought me a wine glass as well, so I didn't feel left out while everyone else enjoyed their tastings, and I simply filled it with water. They even offered me a Gatorade so I'd have something special to sip on as well. It was such a small gesture, but one that made me feel included. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit and opted for one of the outdoor picnic tables, which made for a relaxing afternoon. During our visit, they also offered my family an additional wine to sample from their menu, and the pour was much more generous than a typical tasting and my mom ended up buying a bottle of their sparkling to take home. I'm such a bubbles girly! Overall, we spent a lovely afternoon here and would absolutely come back. Before leaving, we even picked up a bottle of their olive oil too to take home for momma. Some street parking available, but also off the main drag in Sonoma, so it's very walkable from wherever you find parking. We chose to hangout on the patio, so we didn't really see inside. The patio is spacious, well-decorated, and has a bit of shade to escape the California sun. The staff was really friendly and conversational during our visit! They have a few beers and plenty of wine available to sample! We tried a few of their brews during our visit! They were refreshing and crisp. Nothing to blow you out of the water, but a great alternative to all the wine throughout Sonoma.

Not only was it deliciously light and fruity, I happen to know a very cool chica named Christine who I felt needed to have a bottle of this wine. People who know a Darcy will be able to purchase a bottle of 2008 "Darcy" Marsanne/Rousanne ($28). Darcy is the family's daughter. Personally, I feel that "Amy" would be a wonderful name for a wine. I happen to know an Amy who loves sweet wines so perhaps a Riesling or a Muscat? I'd buy a case. ;)

In particular their "Darcy" White Rhone Blend is an anomaly for a Nor Cal blend. Bright fruit but huge amounts of stone, soil, oily viscous lemony goodness, nice acidity and nowhere near a "Califonianized" Rhone finish. This sucker has every right to be poured against a middle of the road Chateauneuf de Pape Blanc. The best part of this...finding a stash of their 2014's at...Grocery Outlet for $5.99. Yeah, there's two cases in our cellar!
