My family and I had such a great time here that before we knew it, 3 hours had flown by. We made a reservation over the phone, but unfortunately ran into unexpected traffic. We called to let them know we'd be late, and they were incredibly understanding, which immediately eased my stress. They offer a few different wine flight options to choose from, as well as meats, cheese, and a charcuterie board for purchase. A couple of the listed items weren't available that day, but they happily created a custom board for us instead. It ended up being the perfect size for our group of four. I was the DD so I wasn't drinking, but I really appreciated the thoughtful service. They brought me a wine glass as well, so I didn't feel left out while everyone else enjoyed their tastings, and I simply filled it with water. They even offered me a Gatorade so I'd have something special to sip on as well. It was such a small gesture, but one that made me feel included. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit and opted for one of the outdoor picnic tables, which made for a relaxing afternoon. During our visit, they also offered my family an additional wine to sample from their menu, and the pour was much more generous than a typical tasting and my mom ended up buying a bottle of their sparkling to take home. I'm such a bubbles girly! Overall, we spent a lovely afternoon here and would absolutely come back. Before leaving, we even picked up a bottle of their olive oil too to take home for momma. This wine vineyard was more low key, affordable, and informal than some of the others we went to. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area and the brief history of this winery that was shared about the migrant worker who opened his own vineyard. Server (one of the grandson) is very knowledgable on the product he was serving and gives out a little bit of the history how and when it was made. He also gives information on their new wine. The place itself has a good ambiance. Yes it maybe hot in San Rosa on somedays but the open area in the back makes it cool since it gives out fresh air. They serve charcutierie board depending on what or get or how many people on the party. But on the day we went there, the grandson gave us the box crackers and un-open cheese which I don't mind, which he also explained that it is more cleaner and sanitary in a way since some of their customers dont want it open without them seeing it being made it front of them. Four tastings to choose from as of our 3/6/24 visit: $40 Estate Release, $45 Private Release, $45 Sweet & Bubbly, and $50 Reserve Library Wines. Each tasting is 4-5 pours (see my TIP below). This is a long overdue review, but well deserving of the 5 stars! We've visited Robledo on several occasions and have always had the best wine tasting experiences. So much so, that we had joined their wine club, and were members for several years. Even now, they still treat us like members whenever we stop in. Robledo is a family-owned winery which carries a diverse selection of premium white and red wines from Napa, Sonoma and Lake Counties. For us, it's as if the winemaker asked us what we like in a wine, and then made them specifically for our palates. There's not an undrinkable wine in the bunch (pun intended), and I think you can find something for everyone's palate. They also sell cheese, cold cuts, and crackers. The cheese is from a local vendor, and they're awesome! We usually take a couple blocks of cheese with us to enjoy throughout our visit to wine country. Inside the large, rustic barn, is the tasting room, barrel room, and an amazing collection of photos and memorabilia related to the family's history. The tasting room hosts provide phenomenal service, and they truly know and understand the wines they're pouring. TIP: In our experiences, if you stop in on a Monday morning, they will have almost all of their wines open from the weekend, and you'll often be able to "sweet talk" your way into additional tastings. I often recommend places for my wine lover friends to visit, and Robledo is always on top of that list. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a tasting experience. You won't regret it! read more

This place is the perfect introduction to what a family winery should look and feel like. The staff takes you through the journey of Robledo family and their wine production business. The area is as pretty as it gets with grounds for your pet to play in. It's got a fountain and a lush green lawn with outside and inside seating. Laid back winery! The man who poured our wines for us was funky and so funny! We learned so much from him in our 90 minute tasting. He taught us about the different vines and grapes and it was a breath of fresh air. Great wine that truly surprised us! Great variety and pricing was not bad! This is a family owned estate with an enjoyable wine tasting experience. Our pourer was a sommelier, and also a poet (author of Wine & Love). There were cats & dogs around the vineyard. We sat outdoors under a shaded area. The views of the rolling hills were lovely. The 4/5 stars is due to us not falling head over heels with the wine. Met Luis Robledo at Costco and purchased a couple bottles of Cabernet. He gave us a 2 for 1 coupon for tasting so to celebrate my wife's birthday we went today. Off the beaten path and very rustic, unlike so many other snooty wineries. Their focus is on wine, not fancy furnishings. We had the good fortune, since it is a Monday to have the tasting room to ourselves, which gave us the opportunity to spend quality time with Zach who pored for us. As great as the wine is, what a treat having so much time with Zach who is not only knowledgeable about their wines, but a great ambassador for the winery. What a great guy he is. 3 tastings in, my wife starts searching for a wine club membership form and pen!!! So unlike her, but the wine is that good.....every one! I learned more on my 2 hour stay here on the general fun fact about grapes and wine making , than I have in all my years wine tasting at the wineries nearby . This is a truly special place with special people who own it and run it. It's a real family business. Their family history in conjunction with the growth of wine in the region over the last 50 years is a beautiful story. And as importantly, they make great wine. Last time I was there I got a case of the chardonnay. Taking my time going through it because though it's an easy drinking wine - especially with cheese and fish, I know I got some of the last of the 2017. So I'm gonna stretch it out just a little more. Go there, do a tasting and ask them stories about how the winery came to be. You won't be disappointed. read more

I stopped in here with my husband after seeing that it actually allowed picnicking! It was the first winery we found that did this and also had wines by the glass. We navigated there easily and were also able to get parking right in front. The views were stunning. You get to sit right in the valley overlooking green mountains and beautiful grape vines. The view was one of the best. Our server Gabby was friendly, told us the history and was also informative. She also took her time with the wine and didn't being them out too quickly. Our whole tasting took about 1.5 hrs. So keep this in mind if you plan a visit! But the time spent in the location was perfect. I'd highly recommend a visit. read more

Beautiful winery, give an open hacienda and family feel to it. Started off with a free sample of Merlot Rosé, which had sweet strawberry and berries taste notes. I elected for the Estate/Current Releases tasting option($35), which included: 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, 2016 Chardonnay, 2020 Pinot Grigio, 2018 Pinot noir, 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautiful views of the acreage of vineyards. Your allowed to bring your own food and have a picnic. More than enough room to have a party of 5-6 individuals. Everyone that works there is family related and give extensive history of their humble beginnings and future. Dõn Robeldo has definitely left an Honorable legacy for his family. I left with six bottles of wine: Merlot Rosé, Pinot noirs, and the impeccable Sauvignon Blanc The ride was Scenic and relaxing. Sonoma is not as crowded as Napa, so definitely a plus for me(loner) My gps took me the back way to Davis, and never knew it was that convenient of a drive. A sweet little spot right at the beginning of wine country. We spent a nice few hours there, nicely socially distanced on their huge patio while we had a specially curated tasting. It wasn't intended to be specially curated on our part, their staff was just so helpful and accommodating that it turned into one! We liked every single wine we sampled (can't say that for every winery we went to that day!). We bought bottles of their Sauvignon Blanc, two-gold-star winning 2018 Tempranillo and white port (I know, white port. Must. Try.). The latter two were add-ons to the standard tasting that they suggested we try based on some comments we had made earlier about what we like.
