No this place does not serve food. It's a cool little spot that sales spirits. You can also do a tasting of 5 different spirits the cost is $25. Service was great the man that was there was very informative and was very helpful and friendly.

The place was recommended. The guy working was helpful, knowledgeable, and a great host. The place only had tastings, no cocktails or drinks to buy. But they had a good amount of drinks to try. You could sample 6 drinks. My favorite would be the Camp s'mores liquor. That was delicious. Would not mind buying the s'mores one to drink on those nice summer nights.

Didn't even know this place existed. We had just finished a meal and decided to walk around town and stumbled upon this place. The manager who was working was fantastic, super knowledgeable and helpful. The ambiance is super cool and definitely has a vibe. The spirits are largely flavored spirits, which aren't entirely our jam, so that's really the only reason we're not giving it 5 stars. But the number of spirits you can try in a tasting and the number of unique spirits they have on hand, definitely makes it worth visiting!

We came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon and enjoyed talking to Bill about their spirits. He also gave us plenty of restaurant suggestions to walk or drive to. We ended up splitting a flight of 6 tasters after our lunch. We purchased a bottle of Pomegranate syrup and rhubarb ginger gin. Quite reasonable pricing, cozy seating with easy street parking. Thanks, Bill!

Always a great time with the folks here at prohibition. We came to pick up our shipment & while there decided to try their new absinthe tasting experience, it was equally cool & delish! We took a bottle of absinthe home along with our shipment, it was just too good.

Staff is so friendly. Little shop is super cute. We even saw the owners and they were very friendly and explained the absinthe our friends got. We got to try 6 different sipirts. They were all in order from non sweet to sweet. Each one had a very unique flavor. My favorite was the melon mint gin and guava paradise liquor. We also got some salami and almonds. The almonds had some spice mix that they do and it was amazing! We will definitely be back.

I was already having a pretty sweet day off from work when I decided to stop by Prohibition Spirits Distillery (PSD). But walking up to the spot, I saw their sign that read "we make great spirits to keep you in good spirits," and I just felt a stupid grin slowly make its way across my face. Anyway, PSD is conveniently located in the infamous Cornerstone shopping center off of highway 121 and within a short distance of the Airport. It's the brainchild of Fred and Amy Groth. They started out crafting limoncello, but the product list has since expanded to include brandy, bourbon, gin, and other wonderful offerings. ___Products___ Coffee Liqueur: The folks at Prohibition took green Ethiopian coffee beans, aged it in their bourbon barrels, roasted them at Petaluma Coffee and Tea, and then cold brewed in their brandy. Damn, this is good! The coffee is prominent and doesn't taste artificial at all. I've been sipping their coffee liqueur neat, but I'm sure I can find other uses for it. I understand this is a limited offering so get your bottle while you can! Sonoma Julep: Their take on a bottled mint julep combines brandy with mint infusions. Just pour over ice and you're golden! I'm quite fond of mint juleps, though a brandy version seemed different to me. I think I prefer bourbon. Still good. Craft Hand Sanitizers: Prohibition decided to switch gears and help fill the hand sanitizer deficit when COVID-19 hit (thank you btw). These cocktail-inspired hand sanitizers come in 4 scents (lemon-drop martini, pins colada, key lime margarita, old fashioned) and are probably my favorite hand sanitizers! They kill germs and smell quite pleasant. Old fashioned is my favorite of the bunch, but I wish the bourbon aroma was more prominent rather than alluding to the presence of bourbon. *After reading my review draft, I think I just have a very pro-bourbon disposition haha. ___Bonus Material___ -They host online cocktail classes. -Cocktail kits are currently available. -They sell the bourbon barrel coffee beans used for their liqueur. -They collaborate with other local businesses. Many ingredients are sourced from elsewhere in Sonoma or are at least California-grown. The coffee was roasted in Petaluma. Moreover, the employee I spoke with was listing things I could check out while at Cornerstone. -Cornerstone is pretty cool. ___What I Don't Like___ -A Few Spartan Descriptions: I work in research so I love details. What's the story behind your product? What's special about it? Is it the ingredients? The process? What's the flavor profile like? Some product descriptions on the website left me wanting more. -They are too far away for me to just drop in whenever I want. Oh well. Stop by if you're in wine country!

Super fun for spirit tasting. Staff is great! You can taste 6 spirits for $20 and you can share your tastes (that's a LOT of alchol ). They specialize in Gin, Brandy and Lemincello type aperitifs. The Gin has several flavors and the Brandy even more. We tried orange, chocolate, pumpkin spice, pear, etc. Then to top it off they had candy cane moonshine - yummy. They have a stand up shuffle board to entertain yourself through the tasting plus fun stuff for sale. Fun to taste something different in wine world. You can see by my photo we wanted to taste them all.

This establishment is not located out on the Main Street. It's hidden away in an alley like areya. The place looks to be new and there are a few tables available so you can enjoy your tasting. It costs about $25 for 6 tasting. I did like the Hazelnut Liqueur and the Limoncello the be best. The 2 employees here were very nice and attentive. They would come by every so often to check up on us. I'm not a big Brandy or hard liquor type of person, but the 2 I mentioned above, I did like.

Well if that sparks an interest, check out Hanson of Sonoma Distillery in Sonoma, CA, on Highway 12. They make organic vodka infused with real fruit. It's award winning. $25 tastings six vodka flights. $75 tasting with a tour of the distillery. They have other assorted tasting flights $35 plus and cocktails $15. Some of the vodka infused flavors are habanero, mandarin orange, meyer lemon and cucumber. They also have infused gin and whiskey. They have small bites as well. The tasting room has great all around vibes. Friendly, down to earth staff. Right when I stepped in, I noticed the design aesthetics. I liked the full bar look with the stacked shelves and the lounge area. Beautiful, modern tasting room. The building outdoor grounds has a pond and seating area. However when I visited, the entire pond water surface was covered with algae. But I'm sure they'll work to clean that up making it picture perfect; the outdoor garden and landscaping is quite beautiful. Selfie opp.

They advertise they will "connect you to off-the-beaten path small producers," but the only good thing we can say is that food was tasty - but a poached chicken breast and salad (you provide your own wine) is not worth the cost of the tour when everything else was mediocre or worse. Of our 3 locations - one an add on because we were running far ahead of schedule - we had to pay for the tasting at one winery, we were hassled at another because the tasting fee had not been paid and the third was fine but not enough to make up for the rest. One of the wineries had a major construction project underway, so we were serenaded by jackhammers during our tasting - to be fair, that's a fail by both Bohemian Highway and Mumm. None of the places we visited had ever heard of Bohemian Highway. Uber and Uber Eats wouldn't have been much more inconvenient and a much better value. We gave them specific, honest feedback in person and via their feedback form, but they chose not to respond. Look elsewhere when searching for California wine tour providers.

After dinner at Napa Valley Bistro we decided to drop by here on a Saturday night. They had a lady singing in the warehouse area and were charging a $5 cover charge. We had no interest in listening to the music so when I asked a guy at the front if we could just go to the bar and have a drink, he said "sure". So we didn't have to pay the cover which was nice. We walked over to the bar and sat down, (we were the only ones in the bar). The bartender Alexander greeted us and gave us a couple of menus. The drinks listed seemed very good but I was looking to go off menu. First Alexander made me a Tequila drink that was very good. The wife ordered the Flamenco, another Tequila drink that has Passionfruit syrup and Raspberry Shrub. This was very good as well. For my next drink Alexander asked me if I liked Scotch. I told him that I didn't really drink Scotch but he had a drink in mind that he thought I would like. I don't know what it was. It was a tad spirit forward but it was good as well. Fot my next drink I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with Gin or Rum but Alexander recommended their Mai Tai. Looking at the ingredients on the menu this is not your mother's Mai Tai. No Coconut, no Orange or Pineapple Juice. Other than Orgeat it looks like their version is pretty much all Rum. While making the drink Alexander torched a cinammon stick and dropped some Lime peel curls over the glass. It was quite the presentation. Sadly, the drink was just a bit too strong for me. It just seemed like drinking a big glass of Rum. After noticing that I was not thrilled with the Mai Tai Alexander said he would happily make me something else. So I asked him for an Industry Sour and he said he could make on with Gin. He brought me the drink and whatever Amaro he used for the drink was verey potent. Very strong herbal components and a big hint of minty flavor. It was a bit overpowering but I respected the drink. I asked Alexander if he could make it a touch sweeter and he added some more simple syrup and that improved the drink quite a bit. A few regulars came in while we were there and asked for Espresso Martini's. I've had a few Espresso Martini's in my time and I even make my own version at home with Vanilla Vodka, homemade Kahlua and Luxardo Espresso Liquer. But the ones that Alexander made had to be the most elaborate I've ever seen. I saw him put drops of something into the shaker tins and do some dry shaking before making the drinks. He also torched cinammon sticks and laid them across the top of the glasses. I've never seen an Espresso Martini made this way. Made me want to try one. Overall the experience at the Hollywood Room was very good. Alexander is a great bartender that certainly knows his craft. He was very open to trying things and surprising me with drinks that I hadn't had before, which I really like. I would say that he's not super outgoing though. Maybe he's just a reserved, quiet guy.

Located in the Napa Valley Distillery, it's a beautiful space that combines both indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe here was very casual on a Saturday. We enjoyed the sounds of Robert Gastellum's Latin Jazz Fusion Band doing their thing on the congas, trumpet, sax, keyboard, drums, and bass. It was cool entertainment, even if the sound quality wasn't perfect. For drinks, we ordered a Whiskey Sour and Strawberry Coast at the bar, and the staff said they'd bring it out to our seats. The wait times were a bit long for what I expected with the bar being fairly empty earlier in the evening. But the workers were friendly. The Strawberry Coast was delicious, though a tad too sweet for my taste. Overall, this is a cool spot especially if they have a show going on, no fee, just good times... and a parking lot too.

And I've even indulged in a Dark & Stormy and the occasional rum & coke. But for me personally, rum is a heavy spirit with a strong aftertaste, and can lead to a nasty hangover the next day. But then I tried Batiste - and it doesn't have any of that heaviness. It's super smooth. In fact, I would even go so far as sipping on it with no mixer (kind of like a good tequila). But here's the best part - Batiste Rhum is local. True story. In fact, they're the only American rum using single-origin 100% fresh sugarcane juice. It's initially grown and distilled in the French Caribbean, and then aged & finished right here in Napa. And for the quality that you're getting, it's very reasonably priced. You can a 750 ml bottle of silver or gold rhum for $25 - $30. You'll find it at stores like Safeway, Mollie Stone's, Whole Foods, Woodlan's and other higher end markets and fine liquor stores. And you'll always find Batiste in quite a few popular Bay Area County restaurants & bars (Guesthouse, Bungalow 44, Balboa Cafe, Flores, No Name Bar, etc.). So it's nice to see them catching on with local bartenders. If you're looking to mix up some summer cocktails, definitely keep Batiste in your liquor cabinet. Cheers!
