I canceled my appointment before I ever met with the provider because my experience with the office…read morestaff made me uncomfortable trusting this practice with my health. As a patient seeking help for pain, communication matters. Before my appointment, I tried to confirm the details but did not receive a clear response by email, text, or phone. When a medical office is difficult to reach before you are even seen, that raises serious concerns about how responsive they will be once you are actually under their care. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the office. When I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation, I called a second time and left a voicemail message canceling my appointment a second time. Despite that, I was later billed as a "no show", which is unacceptable. If the office fails to respond, fails to properly confirm an appointment, and then fails to process a cancellation, the patient should not be penalized for that breakdown. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical care because I never made it that far. But I can speak to the office experience, and it was poor enough that I chose not to proceed. For anyone dealing with pain, the last thing you need is added stress, unclear communication, and billing issues before care has even begun. This experience left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on collecting fees than making patients feel heard, supported, and properly cared for.

I was referred to this clinic by my surgeon due to some post op nerve pain complications I was…read morehaving. It took about a month for me to get in so when I went in I was not even 2 months post op from my ankle surgery. I met with Jacob who is Dr. Ho's PA. After about 10 mins of telling him about the issues I've been having, I was told I had a rare pain disorder and then offered an array of options that could help with my nerve pain ranging from injections to a very invasive nerve stimulator that could be implanted after a trial period. The nerve stimulator was really being pushed and I felt overwhelmed the whole appointment because I wasn't even 2 months post op and I'm being told that I had this pain disorder and would need to get a nerve stimulator implanted if my symptoms didn't improve. Which again, I wasn't even 2 months post op. During this appt I did meet with Dr. Ho and he said that he agreed with Jacob on the plan, which was prescribe an anti inflammatory and order a lumbar MRI. when I asked the Dr. how long it could take to recover from this CRPS and he said, "it could not get better and last forever" and "sometimes PT can help like you're doing already"then was pushed on this nerve stimulator again by him. I was told to consider the injection and other treatment options they offered and that they would call me back when my MRI results came in. Fast forward to my MRI being done and scheduling another appt. It wouldn't be for another month. On 6/12/26, I called the clinic due to my sciatic pain getting worse and asked if I could make my appt for 6/24/26 to an injection appt instead since that was offered to me at my first appt. I was told that I had to have a follow up appt first before I booked an injection appt and that if I did an injection it would have to be on a different date. I shared my frustration of how I feel it's a waste of time and a co pay for me to just drive all the way out to Tigard to talk about an MRI and that since an injection was offered I don't understand why I can't just do that. I got nowhere with that conversation and was offered a virtual appt instead so I didn't have to waste time driving out to the clinic to go over my MRI results. I really tried to give this clinic a chance but it seems like they are just looking to string you along to get as many co pays from you and sell you on really expensive procedures and equipment. It's unethical and unprofessional. Needless to say, I will be cancelling my future appts and will be seeking a second opinion from another pain management clinic. Don't waste your time and do what's best for you, this clinic does not care about you. They just want your money.

I have dealt with chronic pain for over 10 years. I have had 8 back surgeries and multiple…read moreprocedures. As people with chronic pain know, it changes your life. It is not only the physical pain you feel, but you also have emotional and psychological pain. During my pain journey I lost some friends because they didn't understand, I became withdrawn from others because I could no longer do the things I use to do. My family watched me go from a very outgoing, full of life and one who loved to laugh. My daughter said to me "Mom, I want to hear you laugh again like you use to". One day I was told I should look into Functional Neurology. I didn't know what that was. I found people who were knowledgeable in this area of expertise and were able to explain exactly what it was about. I discussed with my pain doctor as well what I had been looking into and she was so excited that I was thinking "outside the box" in my possible healing other than through procedures and medications. During my research I learned about Dr. Glen Zielinski with Northwest Functional Neurology. I didn't know what exactly to expect and I was extremely nervous. From the moment I walked through the front door I was treated with so much respect, understanding and treated as if I was a family member of theirs. This appointment was known as a "Discovery Day" where they examined my neurological responses as well as my physical responses. This was day was around 3 hours. In the end Dr. Zielinski went over with me my results and took the time to explain in terms that I could understand. He felt that with some outpatient rehab therapy at home exercises there was also a form of treatment that I would benefit most from was a treatment called TMS Therapy. TMS helps treat depression and when a person in chronic pain for as long as I had been in chronic pain their serotonin goes down extremely. That TMS has shown that with treatment and the raising of the serotonin levels that chronic pain can be reduced. I was sent home with information to study over and talk with my husband. I did decide to start the TMS treatment that following week. During the course of the treatment I was able to see changes happening in me. I started to laugh, and not with my fake laugh. I actually was really laughing! I was able to pick up on when something was hitting me that normally would cause my depression to deepen and was able to see the trigger ahead of time and keep it away. I smiled a ton more and my pain was becoming more controlled. I am so thankful for Dr. Z and his team. I am so thankful for what he and his team were able to help me with. I can never express my thanks enough.

Arrived for an appointment originally made 4 months previously and changed by NW Functional twice…read moresubsequently only to find out that the appointment had been cancelled because of some bogus Medicare issue. Told by one of the associates that the practice had been advised not to see anyone of "Medicare" age while various approvals were being sought. We were very hopeful that this "different" approach to our condition might provide some hope and could not be told when we could possibly be seen. The lack of professional practice management makes us doubt the value and skills of this approach and we will be unlikely to accept a future appointment. Extremely disappointed! Felt we were told a series of lies regarding the scheduled appointment. Seriously deficient in management of the basics of a health-related practice. This rating would be lower if it was offered.
