My dad died last week and I have been helping my mom get everything sorted…read more If you've never gone through this experience it is quite grueling, on top of being emotional, since there are just so many things to do you are completely at the mercy of each vendor to close everything out, it can be very very stressful. The rep we spoke to earlier in the week instructed we stop into a store as soon as we got dad's death certificate. So we did. However, this was apparently not the process we were supposed to follow. After helping us get customer service on the line again, Heather, the store manager, hearing how our conversation was going with this second service rep, sat with us and helped walk us through everything. When we hung up for the second time we still didn't have the issue resolved, so she called them again with us. After an hour + in the store, my mom was finally good to go. Now, I've been a Verizon customer since I was 16 years old and I stay with them for their customer service, but don't think I have ever had someone so invested in making sure we had the help we needed. I seriously cannot say thank you enough. The kindness and compassion she showed my mom and I, especially sitting with us through two (in store) calls to customer service, after they told us that they couldn't help, was unparalleled. Most confusing place to do in-person business ever! The parking lot…read moreIs full, and so is the store. That is a a good thing. There is no rhyme or reason to check out! My wife walked over and picked out a phone case that she really wanted...and we stood and watched people for ten minutes. Couldn't figure out if we were supposed to check in or how to check out. There is no register or customer service...just a few folks with a Verizon polo engaged in pleasantries with random folks strewn around the store. How do I get myself into these things? Don't get me wrong--I LOVE brick and mortar. I won't be back here again unless I have no choice, though. They have lost the art of interacting with people, and their accessory inventory is very limited.

A lot of time my phone says no connection at my house. I will not say that the service isn't good because I know some people have no problems but where I live in this house it does not pick up. The service you receive from any company as far as quality goes is going to be based on the EXACT location you are getting that service. I wish that it would have worked but I didn't get that kind of Luck with them but that does not mean you won't.

The team at Victra in Athens was no different, but they were able to thoughtfully answer my questions and explain what offers Verizon had going. ((((This has Not been my experience at the Decatur or Madison Verizon stores. I understand it's sales, and I assume they work on commission; but, don't treat me like I'm dumb or hide information from me. After 26 years with the V cell company and after having some problems with the local V store I…read moredecided to make the change to A T & T cell service especially since I have A T & T Fiber Internet. I 1st stopped by to find out the order of events to make the change, which they gave detailed instructions. I then went to the Verizon Corporate store @ Clift Farms in Madison. They were friendly and understood my reasons for making the change and I settled up with them. I then went back to the Athens French Farms store to have my service started. The Iphone 16 was easy but when it came to my Applewatch Ultra it was not so smooth. After over 4 hrs the Manager Sara worked on the problem. She contacted Apple, multiple A T & T departments and everyone was working as hard as they could to get my watch working right. In the end it was actually an Apple Update problem that came out today that was keeping my watch connect to the cell network. A lot of people would have given up, but Sara kept going even including updating my phone & watch and finally everything was working. Sara is a GREAT example of what a customer oriented should be like. She refused to give up until the problem was solved. A T & T, you better watch out someone is going to hire her away from you and that would be a gain for that business but a HUGE loss to the Athens A T & T store. Stanley N.
