When my husband picked it up, he was told that if it happened again, it was likely due to something they supposedly couldn't be responsible for and we would have to pay more. We took it to another repair shop for a second opinion, and they confirmed the actual issue: the HDMI port had not been properly soldered to the motherboard. So the explanation we were given by this shop was simply not accurate. The original repair should have been done correctly the first time, and I'm disappointed that instead of taking responsibility, we were given an explanation that was not supported by the actual condition of the repair. I would recommend getting a second opinion before paying for another repair here.
