Such a chill spot. You can choose between 16 wines and 8 beers to pour yourself. If you are not feeling the beer on tap, you can choose something from the fridge [the corkage fee is only 75 cents]. Cellar 55 has a great selection of beer and wines to enjoy at home too. Check out their Facebook page to see what events are happening each week.

My wine buddy and I were looking for a winery to go to and there was none who were doing tastings after 5pm on a Friday. Then I remembered I had bookmarked Cellar 55 to try out. Off we went. I had no idea what I was getting into so we decided to just walk in and check it out. What a find! The staff were pleasant, no one pushed us to buy anything, there was a free wine tasting, a free beer tasting, and a very pleasant atmosphere. It's a bottle shop and a "bar" all in one! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you can taste the wine in a perfectly measured amount. The "taste" amount is more than enough to figure out if you like it or not. Then you can choose two sizes of servings. We like the sweeter wines so we tasted the two sweet ones and fell in love with one of them so we had a couple of glasses. Then she bought a bottle of it. Win win for everyone. We did not know the food situation so we just ordered pretzels. The pretzel was fine - nothing more than reheated stuff but good quality. Cheese goo was you know, gooey. LOL It had a tiny bit of after taste kick. The mustard was really good. Next time I'll ask for double mustard. They had other nibbles but nothing we were in the mood for. We know for next time though you can get take out from other restaurants and bring it in if you want to eat while you drink. There are tables for 2, 4 and even a big table that looks like it could handle 10+. They say they are usually very busy on Fridays but on this day they were not. We asked if they could handle a party of 15-20 on a Friday night but they said no. They could on a Saturday though. This would be a great place for a ladies' night out. . . I'm smitten and I plan to make this a place I frequent often with my friends. I left with a bottle of School Night Red and a 4 pack of Queen Anne's Revenge beer from Mystery Brewery. Their representative was very informative and kind. I really look forward to visiting their brewery. The prices were very fair at Cellar 55 as well. What a treasure for Fuquay-Varina. Is it selfish to wish we had one in Holly Springs even though it's not that far? ;)

Great place to pick up some local beer. Which I always go local when it comes to beer. They also have a good selection of wine.

I love that they have hot honey, and the wings aren't bad either. The service is fast and friendly. Tonight, I called ahead , spoke to Chris, and showed up with 12 hungry defensive linemen. Aviator did not disappoint. Chris (manager on duty) and company took great care of us. The pizzas and wings runneth over (we did 7 pizzas, 2 garlic knots, and 50 wings w/ four sauces). All were tasty. The meat lovers, pepperoni, and fly eagles fly pizzas were fan favorites, and all of the wing sauces (buffalo, bang-bang, and I can't remember the other two) were devoured in record time with zero complaints. Apologies if there's any language as I had to do my best with videos & I couldn't get good photos as you'd imagine-- the table was in complete and utter disarray. Overall, Aviator was a great choice for a d-line (or any group) dinner date, and I'm sure they'll want to return-- the hubs and I sure will. Cheers and many thanks!

Upon arrival, the hostess was busy texting; we asked for a table. A short time later, the waiter (I am being kind calling him a waiter) came by and we placed our drink order. Drinks arrived in a reasonable time. The waiter took the other tables order and apparently, they didn't know how to place the order in their computer system, as they had three people working on placing the order: waiter, hostess and cook. The hostess walked by and I stopped her and asked if we can place an order through her. "No, you will have to place the order with your waiter". And right back to the hostess counter she goes, texting away. Apparently, she can't be bothered by customers. 20-25 minutes go by, no order is placed, and they are still trying to get the first order into the computer. We left cash on the table to pay for our drinks and walked out. I told the hostess they lost a customer today. No response. She could care less than less, apparently what was going on with her telephone was much more important than helping a customer. The waiter and cook never looked up. Terrible experience.

The cozy couches, glowing moon and other decor, as well as all the dark paint make it very intimate and great to take a date here. They have a huge selection of bourbons and the prices are okay...there should be a bit of a discount for double pours but there is not. So I'm less likely to try bourbons here versus some of my other favorite lounges which do double pours for way less. Drinks are not overpriced either. I usually get an old-fashioned or something along those lines. They have a banana bread one that is a bit weird, not my favorite. They used to have a manager there who made baconated bourbon, he rendered bacon fat into it somehow, and they had this bacon whiskey cocktail and it was amazing. It was the best thing on the menu and almost always sold out. I was told that manager left along with the secret of the bacon whiskey so we're likely to not see it again. Bartenders could use some customer service training. They don't greet you. They don't acknowledge that they see you waiting. They pretty much ignore you until they have time for you which is behavior I don't really like. They seem to have more of an attitude of "I'll get to you when I can on my terms and then you'll tip me $2/drink because I'm an awesome cocktail lounge bartender and entitled to tips." Just looking at someone and saying, "I'll be with you in a moment" goes a really long way. I gave this establishment 4 stars but please understand I'm rating in regards to Fuquay...anywhere else this would be about 3 stars.

The decor is much nicer with an appealing dining area where they offer table service. At same time you can order at counter for take-out or order on-line for pick up. We choose to sit down and be waited on. We were greeted immediately with our soft drink desire taken and menus delivered. I ordered Egg Drop Soup to start and Chicken Chow Mein and my wife ordered Pepper Steak with Onion combo. The soup which came with crunchie noodles was flavorful with nice amount of onion chive and egg floating. My chow mein was good and the small plate order was more than enough. The steak combo came with fried rice and eg roll. My wife enjoyed her meal and the egg role was the best we have experienced. To elevate the dining experience there is red pepper sauce and duck sauce on each table if you care for it. The waitress taking care of entire dining room is the wife of establishment. She took care of five tables like clock work never missing a beat. The chef/husband was out and spoke with each table and later came out with complimentary dessert donuts for each table. This husband and wife team work very hard to insure customers are pleased. We really are sad that this place has not been on our radar sooner.
