After spending quite a long time down at barceloneta beach, we had worked up quite an appetite, but didn't want to eat at any of the typical tourist trap seafood restaurants located immediately near the beach. We saw this tapas restaurant tucked around the corner and decided to check it out. The menu offers a menu del dia option for 9.9 euros but I didn't care for any of the options on that menu so we just ordered a few tapas. We started with the salad with walnuts, cheese and raisins. Very light, fresh, great flavor. We also got the chicken skewer served a top of asparagus. Also very tasty. The only bad part of the experience came at the end of the meal when the server took forever (and ever and ever and ever) to check in or bring us the check. I had to get up, not once but two times, to look for that and ask for the check. A bit ridiculous in American service expectations. But alas this is Spain and everything moves a bit slower here.
