The burger was massive and having the option to add toppings was a nice bonus. The salad was an enough for two meals for me and I appreciated the side of bread. Bartender gets an F As for the other items it was nothing to rave about. The meal was close to $90 and the manager knew we were not pleased. I gave the server a huge tip for this pile of garbage as it's not the servers fault that the cook was not a cook. The manager was impressed with the tip and said I didn't have to do that. I told him everyone needs to pay bills. Tip wasn't the problem. The food was. I explained I wouldn't ever eat there again. And knowing me I wouldn't recommend to anyone to try out the place. After 72 years dining this takes the prize of horrible food. I don't like posting this, I can turn the cheek and move on. But just common sense didn't play any part in how the food was cooked and served.

The staff either refused entry, demanded improper documentation, or otherwise denied access despite federal and Arizona law protecting service animal access in public accommodations. My service animal was under control and not causing any disturbance or safety issue at the time of the incident. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!! I was staying in Kingman and craving a good steak. A few people recommended another place in Laughlin, but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I ended up finding Castle Rock and decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! My server, Caren C, was AMAZING so sweet and attentive. I was happy to find out the lunch menu was available all day, so I could order a smaller portion (which was still a really good amount of food). My ribeye literally melted in my mouth. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the mozzarella triangles were phenomenal. The manager (I believe) was also great, checking on every table to make sure everyone was satisfied. A MUST TRY!!! Such an amazing dinner experience at an affordable price! read more

Great place! My wife and I have been to Castle Rock Ranch several times and it is consistently good. Food is fresh with prepared in house ingredients. Kind, attentive service with a smile! Attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience. My one notable complaint has nothing to do with the food. We were seated near the kitchen, which normally wouldn't bother me at all. However, one of the hostesses wore a very strong perfume. Every few minutes the scent would drift by and completely overpower the aromas from the meal. It wasn't an unpleasant fragrance, but when dining, the aroma of the food is part of the experience, and it became distracting. We started with the Caprese salad, which was excellent and properly prepared. The mozzarella was so good I actually asked if it was house-made. It wasn't, but it certainly tasted like it could have been. My wife and I split the chicken piccata. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal asparagus was fantastic. If I'm being exceptionally critical, the piccata sauce was slightly thicker than I prefer and leaned a bit too heavily on the lemon. The extra acidity overshadowed the capers somewhat. Likewise, I was a little disappointed to learn the pasta was not house-made and arrived slightly past al dente. These are admittedly minor critiques and the sort of details most diners probably wouldn't notice or care about. Dessert sealed the deal. The homemade key lime pie was outstanding. The filling had a fantastic balance of tartness and sweetness with a smooth, creamy texture that was clearly made in-house. I even verified that with our server. It was a home run and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fact that I'm discussing details like sauce balance and pasta texture should tell you that the overall meal was very good. The strengths far outweighed the shortcomings. Excellent service, several standout dishes, and a dining experience I'd happily recommend. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Kingman.

I guess I'm from an era of the past, where once in a while you could put on a jacket and a tie and feel like a date out was a special occasion. They deserved the tip I left, and I specifically wanted to speak with the manager to compliment them. Unfortunately, I waited quite a while to speak with the manager. When I finally did, he seemed so disconnected that when I said I wanted to compliment my server, he asked, "Who?" There was only one server working the entire dining room. That interaction left me feeling like great employees aren't being noticed or supported. The bigger issue, though, is the food. I've been here multiple times, often when there were fewer than five customers in the building. I always order my burger medium rare, and every single time it has come out well done. I've almost never complained about burger temperature at other restaurants, but this has happened here consistently enough that it's become the reason I don't want to come back. I want to like this place. The beer is good, the location is one of my favorites, and the server today was fantastic. But the lack of teamwork and leadership, combined with consistently overcooked food, has made me decide I'll probably go somewhere else for my burger and beer.
