First off, currently on Yelp is this restaurant and Castle Rock Bar & Grill Arizona. They are both one and the same. The 10 year old pictures on Castle Rock Bar & Grill Arizona show a different roof line and full out spelling of Castle Rock Bar & Grill Arizona. The current only spells out Castle Rock. Secondly, I stopped here on a whim on my way back from NASCAR in Vegas to my place in Havasu City. I did not plan on arriving during an awesome sunset. The waitress was so cheery and accommodating to seat me closest to the window facing west. I appreciate her opening the blinds too. Even the cook staff, wait staff and visitors were stunned as much as me over the gorgeous sunset. YOLO, now for the food and service. As mentioned before, the waitress seemed genuinely excited to be helpful. She could not have done anything better. I splurged a bit more than usual on myself and went with the dinner Basil Chimichurri NY Sirloin Strip. So glad I did!!!! So glad to custom my order with the waitresses input. The side salad was very good. Then the sauteed asparagus was delightful. Instead of ordering the curious Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, I took her advice and ordered a smaller portion as one of my sides. The steak arrived just as I ordered it. Perfection and delicious. I didn't mind trimming the fat as it was necessary for flavor during the cooking. Too bad the small hill of trimmed fat equaled 1/4 of the whole steak. Been coming here frequently since moving to sohi. The building has been redone inside and looks great. We have gotten lucky and got Cynthia almost every time we go for happy hour (their specials are amazing) They have a large outdoor area so we can enjoy a pitcher and watch the game while the kids play cornhole. Wow!!!! This food and service here is Excellent!!!!! You must order the Mozzarella appetizer, the panko coating tastes like home made, very good. Very cheesy too! My grilled chicken breast and my pasta tasted so fresh and good! My wife enjoyed her burger as well as my parents enjoyed their dishes too. Service was very attentive and friendly. Stayed in Kingman a few days and lucked out on this place. Definitely a locals favorite. Extraordinary people-watching! I had the Saturday night special prime rib dinner with garlic mashers and bacon-wrapped asparagus. The beef was well-seasoned and had a nice fresh-herb sprinkle. I have not had bacon-wrapped asparagus before, but they were delicious! My old fashioned with Knob Creek bourbon was outstanding and strong. Along with a nice dessert my total bill came to about $50 with tip. I went back the next day and got the shrimp pasta in vodka sauce and it was quite good...mild but fresh-tasting. I also ordered a pizza to go, and it wasn't very good. Lacked flavor and seemed "flat" for what is usually a tasty item. I don't think pizza is their thing. Safety tip: If you are coming from Kingman, the U-turn needed to get in there along Hwy 93 is a doozie...so be careful. read more

I stopped in here recently, and here is how it was. I came back and decided to go with a classic BLT and fries. Sometimes simple is best, and this place definitely proved that. The sandwich was fresh, the bacon was perfectly crisp without being greasy, and the lettuce and tomato actually tasted fresh instead of bland. The bread held everything together without getting soggy, which is a small detail but one I really appreciated. Honestly, it was one of the better BLTs I've had in a while. No doubt. The fries were just as impressive as the sandwich. They came out hot, golden, and crispy on the outside while still fluffy inside. It's the kind of fry you can eat plain, but they were also great with ketchup. Portion size was just right! It was not too small to leave you wanting more, but not over-the-top either. Everything about the meal felt well-balanced and made with care. On top of the food, the overall vibe of the place made the experience even better. Service was quick and friendly, which always makes a big difference. I never felt rushed, and the staff checked in just enough to make sure everything was good. It's one of those spots that makes you feel welcome the moment you sit down. All in all, I'd easily give this place 5 stars and would come back again just for that BLT and fries combo. read more

WOW! WOW! WOW!!! We were driving home to Kingman from Vegas. We've heard amazing things about this restaurant, we asked ourselves "how have we NEVER been here before!" My husband is very picky about his Chicken Fried Steak. He said hands down this was the best he's ever had! Also it came with 2 bacons or sausage, hash browns or home fries, eggs and 4 pieces of toast!!!! Now my omelet was also the best I've ever had and it was HUGE! 4 egg omelet! Along with 4 pieces of toast and hash browns. Everything was fresh, this is our go to for all meals!! Our waitress "Angel" was fun/friendly and was on top of it! We met the owners daughter, she was so friendly!! We are recommending all of our Friends/family and our Airbnb guests. We already have their menu in the guest house. This is a must!!! We were met at the door with a smile from Cynthia who turned out to be our server. Cynthia was fast, friendly and efficient. The food we very good. I had the rib eye for $32 yes $32. My meal included: salad, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and the rib eye. The steak was delicious and nicely prepared medium rare with a nice crust. First visit was Mother's Day 2025. Best steak EVER! I was so excited to have a good steakhouse in Kingman! Next visit, Father's Day...so disappointed! The steaks were tough, and mine was nothing but gristle. Took my folks there for Dad's 91st birthday and he LOVED the country fried steak! Mom's BLT was disappointing. The new Castle Rock Bar & Grill that opened in January, 2024. Nicely redecorated with a western theme, the dining room was very clean with a mix of tables (normal seat heights), booths (elevated seats), and bar space (tall bar stools). Bathrooms also very clean. Lack of carpeting with music made normal conversation a little difficult, but not too bad. Dinner service on a Thursday was relaxed and friendly. Food came out at a reasonable pace with no wait between the kitchen and delivery. The missus had the Shrimp & Pasta in Vodka Sauce. The sauce was a "Cardinale" over a spinach fettuccine. The shrimp were properly cooked, tender and juicy, and a good portion of large shrimp. The pasta was average, but a rather large portion. It included either a salad or soup of the day. She had the soup, obviously homemade, it was Italian Sausage, reminiscent of Caldo Verde and very tasty. I had the the special of the day, a Prime Rib Sandwich au jus that came on a fantastic sandwich roll with thin cut, well done, tender meat and a cup of jus that was full of flavor. Rather than the seasoned french fries, which were pretty good, I substituted the vegetable slaw. This was not your everyday slaw, but a very lightly dressed medley of thin cut vegetables, absolutely delicious. Prices were comparable to the better restaurants and best burger joints in Kingman although we'd like to see a few more entrees on the menu. They do not yet have their [restaurant] liquor license, but that shouldn't be too long in coming. Also have a kids' menu. Will have to reserve a fifth star depending on their steaks and pizza. The burgers at another table looked worthy of their price. We'll be back again for another evaluation. read more

Our new favorite weekly go to spot which is so nice to have being from CA. Great view, atmosphere, food, drinks and everyone is always so friendly. I love how they offer entertainment weekly. We had Mother's Day brunch here this last Sunday and not only could I believe it was only 9.99 for the brunch buffet and a 5$ delicious Bloody Mary but so wonderful just to relax and enjoy good food, people and ambiance at a local spot without the crazy prices and mediocre city Mother's Day brunches I am use to. I highly recommend this place for stopping on by. In fact, we will be back tonight for dinner! read more

We were happily surprised by the quality of food at Castle Rock, after traveling through Arizona on a family vacation we had developed low expectations for the quality of food in the smaller towns, pretty much everyone serves the same thing, but we didn't think we'd make all the way to Las Vegas without grabbing some lunch, so we gave it a try. First we were greeted by an incredibly friendly server, I was impressed by how clean the restaurant was, the menu seemed similar to most we'd seen traveling but as the server started describing things I realized that a lot of the items were made in house. I was guided towards one of the pasta dishes being told it was handmade pasta, I'm so glad I listened, the Chicken Alfredo was delicious!!! The lunch portion was more than generous and even though I was full, the sweet server sold me on the homemade Creme Brulee, oh my gosh it was fabulous! The prices seemed reasonable for the quality of the food we received, this will definitely be a go to spot the next time we are in the area. read more

Friendly service by our server. Nice clean place. I ordered breakfast with two eggs over medium, but when my breakfast arrived I was staring at two poached eggs. I guess the cook didn't know how to fry an egg over-medium. I didn't complain and ate my breakfast which was good except for the eggs. The next time I go back I will tell the server that I want two fried eggs over-medium and if I get poached eggs I will ask the server to take them back. read more

The menu is disjointed and hard to follow. We had the fish and chips and the chips were good the fish not so much. Others have said they make a good steak but I'm suspect. The food is OUTSTANDING. My husband and I stopped on our way to Bullhead and wound-up taking the dirt roads off the 68 instead of off the 93. It was worth it. We had the chicken fried steak and fried pickles. Even though it was lunch for us, happy hour starts at 2:00 and the fried pickles were part of that. The fried pickles are the best of ever had. The batter was thick and crispy. In addition, the homemade ranch dressing (with a bit of dill) was tasty. The chicken fried steak and gravy had a wonderful flavor. The gravy was delicious. The mashed potatoes were real, with small chunks, and fluffy. 100% worth the stop. My husband even said this is going to be his new lunch spot when he's on his way back from Vegas trips.
