A couple days ago I came to Calico's for dinner and I tried a new menu item. It's because of great things like these that I am a returning customer of Calico's. I ordered the Beer Battered Atlantic Cod basket with fries, and for $13.99, the cod was not only delicious and crispy, but the fries were just excellent with the fish as well. Not only that, the portions were very large, too. I was super full after that meal! I will absolutely order this again, just thinking about it makes me hungry. Service was top-notch, as usual. There is not a single day where I have came in and it took more than 10 minutes to be seated and have my order taken. Everyone there is so friendly, and it really felt like the service was so good there, they were only serving me. That's just how fast it is. Inside is always great, too. Calico's has a large range of artworks, trinkets, and more. They showcase R66 stuff, too. The inside is never too hot or too cold, and it's all clean and comfortable with a massive space inside. In all, Calico's is not just a little place off the road. It's got excellent food, incredible service, and a welcoming environment. I do recommend for anybody looking for these things. I was here for lunch with a group of 15 other local ladies. Our server was friendly and very well organized. This is crucial for such a large group and was very much appreciated by all of us. She absolutely crushed it! Everybody received exactly what they ordered in a very impressive amount of time. The food was great, they have a surprisingly large selection of options so there was something great for each member of the group. I had a blt with sprouts and avocado, my mom had the fish and chips. We were both completely satisfied with our choices but we will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!! read more

The food is standard American which makes it great for long trips... no surprises! The salad bar is a great feature that allows you to get something healthy. This was such an appreciative find passing through to Page from the Grand Canyon. Cool diner with great food and service. Bonus was the reasonable prices. They do have a full bar though the jalapeño cucumber thing I had was very sweet. For $6.99 I had to try it. The salad bar was a great surprise but even more so was the clam chowder on the bar. It was addictive. I had seconds. They have plenty of spicy options including fried jalapeños in the salad bar, which I used to top the clam chowder. Score!! Old school diner in the middle of no where on the way to everywhere. Light bright, average noise level, small gift shop and easy to make to-go orders. Service was great too. Our server handled most of the dining room without looking like she was hustling. Great place for dinner. read more

Fast service, friendly, Good Food. What a neat stop! We were greeted immediately, full bar! Spicy bloody Mary yum! I had the southwest eggs Benedict. It did not disappoint. Oh my gosh, this place is my go-to! I LOVE this place. The staff is very friendly, the place is very clean. The food is amazing but unfortunately, I always get the salad bar. I always try to get something new but I really can't pass up that salad bar. It is always so good honestly whatever you decide to get there. This is the restaurant that takes me back to the 80's. It has a soup and salad bar that reminds me of Sizzler back in its heyday. The restaurant is clean and the staff was so friendly. Have been to Calico's multiple times, beginning in October 2024 and again in June, July and August 2025. Service is attentive and efficient and food quality is very good. I have ordered the grilled salmon on multiple occasions and have also tried the fried shrimp and prime rib dinners and was not displeased. We drove out on a Saturday drive and ended up at Calico's. We figured it couldn't be too bad. Man were we wrongo! This place is AMAZINGLY INCREDIBLE! Our waitress (a blonde, very happy lady-I failed to get her name) was so kind. She really cared about our meal and everything was spot on. We plan on making the trip frequently, just for the food! I live in Vegas and this is perhaps the best prime rib I have ever had. One thing lacking is that I wish there was a protein like chicken on the salad bar-but I think I can adjust to that minor detail. We thank you all for a wonderful meal and I am enjoying my pie as I type this! This IS the place!! Oh and the decor was so beautiful! Really brings the southwest to life! read more

The new look is great after the much needed remodel from fire. We come in regularly making the drive from dolan springs and have been pleased with the salad bar very much. We came in last Friday and the special was an over priced fish sandwich. Fish was fried golden brown, roll was very doughy, no tomato or lettuce or even pickles. We also had the upgraded French dip which had the stringiest roastbeef ever, again great salad bar. My son had spaghetti served with soggy garlic toast, no butter flavor possibly oil. Very small amount of pasta in a giant plate and very bland. We came in yesterday March 27 2026 as during lent we don't eat meat on Friday, fried fish were pre done frozen pieces overly cooked very dark and they were all breading, very little fish. Peeled the bread off of the 3 pieces and made a pile on the plate. Ordered the shrimp plate which was a joke calling those shrimp with onion rings so dark that they were dripping grease. Tuna melt was very good. I don't know if we will get anything besides the salad bar if we return again. read more

While traveling I was feeling Italian until I saw Calico's. I had been there years ago and remembered it was pretty good food and they had a salad bar. Well I wasn't disappointed, the place had been remodeled and up dated. Salad bar is still there, and service is as I remembered, pretty good. I kept my order simple, chopped steak (hamburger) and sautéed onions with a baked potato. Food was cooked to order, came out hot. My drink was never empty and all employees seemed happy and worked well with each other. I don't get to drive through Kingman often but will stop at Calico's next trip for sure. read more

He ordered medium rare and it was definitely medium plus. My sandwich was rare and barely warm as were the sweet potato fries! The aujuice was tasteless. We don't recommend on a week night. Rustic and lots of local flare but seemed like walking back in time maybe to 1988. A bit outdated which likely is unnoticed by the clientele .... The salad bar was fresh but not very exciting. Traveling through Kingman and stopped for a quick bite to eat. The staff was super friendly and inviting. Tammy was our server and she was super sweet and helpful. The OG Benedict with the country potatoes were so yummy and perfectly salted. Portion size was plenty and I couldn't finish both. They were setting up the soup and salad bar while we were there and wish that we would have ordered that. Lots of options and all looked very fresh. I had the Prime Rib Sandwich and my husband had the burger both really hit the spot! I usually eat pretty healthy and expected it to be greasy, but it wasn't at all. The service was great, and the atmosphere was just as wonderful. Happy people everywhere - we loved it! What's with hostesses who don't smile? When did that start? Our server was very nice and patient with our questions as it was our first time. It is obviously a local hangout which usually indicates good food. Unfortunately we did not find this to be the case. The special was beer battered fish. It looked so good when it arrived, but turned out to be overcooked and dry. I decided to add the salad bar with my order as I really love bean soup. It was ok but pretty flavorless. The bar was replenished while I was choosing my food but the person doing so only filled it up when it really needed a good clean up as messy diners had made it look unappealing. My husband ordered the liver and said it was good. There was quite a bit of banter with the servers and regular customers, so I suppose you have to be a regular to get that level of service. read more
