Iced Vanilla Chai Latte and Mango Smoothie
    Alyssa H.

I really wanted to like my iced chai latte, but I was a bit disappointed. It tasted like the chai concentrate was stuck at the bottom and it wasn't as sweet as it looks or as I thought it would be. It was just okay. My boyfriend got a mango smoothie that I tried which was actually very good. The shop was a bit busy but it seemed like a nice place to rest for a coffee.

Saturday 1:45pm. Well at least it's "open"!

Management has destroyed this business in order to save costs. I attempted to visit last week on Friday at 2:30pm. Duet was closed. Staff nearby told me that Duet now closes at 2pm daily. The business is advertised as "Duet Coffee and Wine" but the quality wine dispensers were removed many years ago, and there is zero wine visible there or on the menu boards. Wine is there effectively in name only. I guess management sees no need to rename or rebrand the facility hoping customers won't notice the lack of wine. On Saturday I returned at 1:45pm and the display cases that used to be stocked fully with sandwiches and pastry were near empty. Clearly many of the pastry offering of the past are no longer sold at all (not sold out), as well as most of the sandwiches and wraps. I'd say easily more than half of the former food items on the menu and no longer sold. So to review, it's a business that supposedly sells wine that doesn't sell wine and closes most days by 2pm, while having a very poor selection of foods. Pretty much, it is a casino owned coffee stand, that is open for breakfast and closes a couple of hours after noon. If you want a cup of coffee at 3pm, you have to go elsewhere. An embarrassment. Terrible! Can't wait to see the management reply and try to spin this all as not so bad!

The Aquarius Casino has an independent coffee and wine shop called Duet. It's on the casino floor near the main entrance so it's quite handy. I had espressos there both mornings and the second morning I had a bagel breakfast sandwich which was much like a McBagel as it were. I was surprised that a breakfast sandwich would come with pepperoncini but it was an OK way to start the day when you're not having a traditional breakfast. Because of the time of the year, many of the casino restaurants were closed except for weekends or until the Christmas/New Year's time because of lower occupancy at the hotels. The staff at Duet was OK. One funny story--the first morning I ordered a quad espresso over ice in a large cup--my daily drink. The woman asked if quad was two shots. I thought their prices were a bit on the high side but when you're the only game in the casino, if you want it you pay for it.

We were looking for a place to fulfill our sweet tooth & found this cafe! Nova recommended their giant elcair, but it would have been too big for us since we had already eaten lunch. Next best thing was the Tiramisu cupcake! Didn't disappoint! Next time, we will try their eclair!

Another place to use your $20 breakfast credit, but nothing special here either. The coffee, smoothie and ice tea were good on the beverage side. The food was below average as the ham and cheese panini got poor reviews and the bagel was of Sara Lee quality.

A place where coffee tastes like coffee. You get free refills on the ice coffee all day. Yay!

We came here twice on this trip to grab a frappe while walking in the heat and to just relax after a big meal. The first time we came our coffee drinks were very tasty and well balanced. The second time we ordered the same exact thing and they were different. While it is nice to come to a place that isn't a chain, there is also a reason chains are popular. Consistency is very important. I wish the workers were a little more professional too. The first day we had no idea a players card would give us a discount. The second day they were screaming at each other about lunch and I'm pretty sure one was talking about me (sounds paranoid I know but I don't think she liked the fact that I ordered something off menu).

This is a cute little cafe tucked conveniently within the Aquarius casino. There's a variety of food choices ranging from sweets like cupcakes and cheesecake slices to breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and salads to muffins, bagels, and doughnuts. I didn't get a chance to grab any of these, but they looked decent. If there were no other options around, I'd take a panini over McDonalds or Panda Express (the other two quick food options in the Aquarius casino). Their doughnuts are from Krispy Kreme, and the little sign advertises two for one doughnuts after 2:00pm :D They've got your typical coffee options: lattes, mochas, espresso, and teas. I got the iced white mocha (no whip), as this is my go-to whenever I'm uncertain about a coffee joint. It's alright--I had low expectations to begin with, because I'm the basic Starbucks and Dutch Bros customer. It isn't overly sweet, so I'd have to say this is your best choice if you need a cup of coffee after a long night of gambling & drinking. About $5 for a small, so typical for a coffee place in its location. A nice little pick-me-up is the option to spike your drink :o they've got options like Kahlua, Baileys Irish cream, Jameson, amaretto, and fireball. Not impressed (albeit I wasn't expecting to be), but not sorely disappointed either. Swing by if you're like me and can't start your day without coffee first.

She stocked wines not usually found in the local stores that were really bargains. The current owners have made further improvements, but continue to offer a fine selection of wines. With the renovation of Beale Street (Old Town Kingman), the crowds of First Friday have discovered the Wine Bar. Note that live music starts around 7pm. It gets a louder with the music, but the table within the stacks is quieter as are the patio seats. They offer a number of wines by the glass, a wide selection of bottled beers (and often one special draft provided by Black Bridge Brewery), or select a bottle from the stacks and add a minor corkage fee to cover the glasses. If you don't finish the bottle, re-cork it to go. Summer brings out the red or white sangria. Winter offers the mulled wine or other warm classics. Salad Bar - Need to Know Ambiance was awesome, and service…read morewas friendly. But the place was empty at 1oclock, the prices were steep, and the new salad bar was managed very differently than what you might expect: 1) pick your greens - choice of iceberg, romaine, or kale, 2) pick your dressing - the usual choices plus a balsamic which was very good, 3) add a protein if you want. They bring you a plate with the greens, protein, and dressing, and you add toppings at the bar. FYI, its apparently all you can eat because she asked us if we wanted a second round. I wondered later if that included added protein. Nevertheless, most people cant eat another big plate of salad; so, it would be helpful to offer a one-time salad bar for less $$. The base (no protein) was $16. Add steak was +$12. Add chicken was +7. So these two salads, with no 'refills,' plus an iced tea for $2.50 was $55 (inc cc surcharge). The machine offered 20, 25, or 30% tip. So our lunch salads and a tea was $70...... The salad bar was clean and had lots of great, and healthy, choices like quinua, artichoke hearts, and assorted olives (please note: the olive have pits). Again, the food was delicious, but we can enjoy a made-to-order healthy salad with similar ingredients at a nearby restaurant for about $20 less (yes, inc steak and chicken). We didnt go for the wine, so drinkers might have a different experience; although I noted a bottle of red zin was $65. When I stopped at Smiths on the way home for a $7 rotisserie chicken for dinner, I noticed the beer and wine bar inside was packed full of people visiting and having a great time.

We ordered the Waffle and Caviar, Sausage Roll, Brushetta from the happy hour and the Chef's Tasting board. The Waffle and Caviar was super flavorful! The touch of masago was 10/10 paired with the waffle and cream sauce! Ugh my fav truly. Next we got the Brushetta and my partner loved it. He said the tomatoes were delicious and paired well with the bread and sauce it was marinated with. I did try a bite even though I'm a tomato hater but man you can tell the tomatoes were fresh. I had a piece with no tomatoes because I loved whatever was on top as whatever the tomatoes were marinated in! Next came the Sausage Rolls and man were they delicious paired with their homemade cheese dip! I don't think I'd get again because it's quite heavy with the wine but def glad I tried. Lastly was the Chef's Tasting Board... this was so good. You could tell the cheese and meats were fresh and paired very well all together. The main star for me for that platter was the bread dipped in that garlic butter balsamic + oil... ugh delicious. I can't wait to get the membership and go back.
