Before I agreed to the $450 repair, the technician explicitly stated they needed to open the device first to verify the main boards were functional. They specifically told me they didn't want to charge me for a screen if the phone wouldn't work. Only after they confirmed "everything works fine" did I pay and proceed with the repair. ​To now claim the SIM issue is an "unrelated board problem" is a direct contradiction of their own initial diagnostic. The phone worked for a very short period before the SIM card failed--a common result of a loose connection or a damaged ribbon cable during a screen swap on an S24 Ultra. ​By their own admission, the board was healthy when they took my money. If it is non-functional now, it is a result of their workmanship. I also stand by my original statement regarding the $200 offer and the attempt to bribe me for a positive review, both of which remain unaddressed. I am seeking a full resolution for the damage caused to my device. UPDATE [Date]: THE PLOT THICKENS ​After further investigation, I discovered the "no service" issue was actually due to a T-Mobile billing/blacklist status--not a hardware failure. While the owner was correct that the phone was blocked, their "professional diagnostic" was a blatant attempt to scam me. They told me to my face that the motherboard was fried and that the phone was "no longer fixable," yet they offered to buy it for $250 for parts. ​Think about that: they were prepared to take a $1,300 Galaxy S24 Ultra with a brand-new screen and perfectly healthy internal hardware by lying about the "main board" being broken. They were clearly hoping I'd hand over the device so they could flip it or use the pristine parts, knowing full well the board was fine. ​Between the bribe for a good review and this "fake" hardware diagnostic, this business has proven they prioritize predatory profit over honesty. Do not let them "diagnose" your devices--they will tell you it's junk just to buy it from you for cheap.

Would not charge. Came back a few days later and the guy threw the cord in the trash, gave me a new one and said this was he guarantees will work. OK that's cool. Go home and this one shows charging on my office but after charging all night only moved up to 10% charged. Called my phone company and they said they would send me a charger. Great Go back here to get a refund and the guy at counter said he won't refund me. Started being real disrespectful and trying to bs me with cell phone lingo. When I wouldn't fall for it he started yelling at me and started waving bye to me. This made me angry and I really wanted to teach the young kid a lesson. I did not get this level of service from the previous Boost store that I went to in Canoga Park. I wonder why all of the Boost stores are not the same. Instead, they simply opened the phone, looked at it, and then couldn't even put it back together properly. To make matters worse, they lost the antenna. After that experience, I started searching for real professionals who specialize in micro-soldering. One of the technicians I spoke with recommended Lay Tech Repairs in Tarzana. That turned out to be the right decision. When I arrived, I handed them the phone and explained the entire situation. They inspected the device and said they would try to repair it. Several other repair shops had already told me that the motherboard was damaged and that the only solution would be to replace the entire board, which would have meant losing all the data. Instead, these technicians were able to reconnect the damaged components and repair the board itself. They fixed parts that other technicians had said were impossible to repair. This was extremely important because losing the data would have been a huge problem. I was simply looking for someone who actually had the skills to do the job properly. They took on the repair and completed it the same day. The repair wasn't cheap, of course, but I received the phone back that very day. Since Tarzana is quite far from Santa Monica, I asked them to send the phone to me with Uber, and they arranged it without any problem. I'm truly grateful and confident that they are real professionals who can handle complex repairs that many other shops in Los Angeles refuse to even attempt. Technicians like this are rare, even in a city as large as Los Angeles.

WATCH OUT FOR TGE SCAMMERS WORKING JN THIS PLACE…read more Absolutely terrible experience. This place is a complete scam. I brought my phone in for a simple screen repair and was told it would take only one hour. When I came back after an hour, the shop was closed, the technician was nowhere to be found, and no one was answering the phone -- all of this at 2 PM in the middle of the day. Completely unprofessional. I had to come back the next day just to get my phone, and then I was charged $185, which is ridiculously expensive for a basic screen repair. To make things worse, the repair wasn't even done properly -- the left side of my screen still doesn't work at all. It gets worse. The day after I got my phone back, my bank contacted me about suspicious activity. When I checked my phone, I was logged out of my Instagram and had received around 100 emails about password changes from different apps. I had zero issues like this before bringing my phone here. Not only did they fail to fix my phone, but it also seems like my personal information may have been compromised. This is beyond unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.
