    Lamb stew

I have the most amazing time. Celtic dancers were amazing and the Traditional Irish lamb stew was great. I loved the music too.

Musicians and dancers. Hard to see fully.

Music and dancers were great. So much tradition! Problem was the stage is in the wrong place and no one could see well! Stage is elevated but the ceiling is low with beams running across so you often couldn't see their heads or feet! Food is mediocre. Not worth it for a vegetarian. Temperature was freezing!!! Overpriced for what we experienced.

What awesome night! The music was great, the dancing was excellent and the food was delicious....!!!! Staff too. Really, really good show and experience...I am very picky and a travel advisor as well! Don't hesitate to book it.

This show was an amazing feather on our cap for our stay in Dublin. We bought tickets in advance thanks to many recommendations and it did not disappoint! We were seated immediately, and were told that drinks would be separate from what is included in the ticket (to be expected). The food was good, especially for being able to choose from a selection. The entertainment was incredible! I recommend an earlier dinner time in order to catch the whole show- from a Viking, to Celtic music and the dancers as well! I was chosen to go on stage and dance with them- a worthwhile experience! If you're looking for unique dinner plans, look no further.

Live music and Irish dance show. Booked tickets online the day before, but you can make the purchase in-person as well. It's in a convenient location in Dublin, and the time you pick is the time you start eating your dinner. The actual show doesn't start until 8:30pm. We were a bit late for our 7:30pm seating, but they still got us to our tables right away. There is a lot more singing than there is dancing, which wasn't what we were expecting. The group was good and they did a great job of getting audience participation, but I wish there were more dance performances. They went around the room and asked where everyone was from in the beginning, and also did take musical requests. Your ticket includes a three course meal - the duck confit salad looks a bit like cat food, but it tasted pretty decent. The lamb stew was comforting and for dessert, everyone gets a trio of mini cakes. Obviously a show geared for tourists, but it's a fun time and the dance sequences were cool to watch.

It is a touristy dinner show. The atmosphere was loud, lively and fun. It's understood that tourists don't come here for food, but for the Celtic experience. It is a big venue that hold more than 300 diners. Long, natural wood tables can sit 12. If booked in advance, one can get a better view. We ran into this place and booked on the same day and our table was on the side view of the stage, so it was not ideal but wasn't that bad. I walked to the center of the room whenever there was a dance performance to get a better view. There were lots of interactions between musicians, dancers and audiences. An Icelandic man played the spoons with the band, a preteen girl went up to sing a song. The dancers invited audiences to dance with them. There were cheers and sing alongs. I enjoyed it tremendously. The food wasn't refined or delicious, but it was decent and fairly good. The prices were reasonable. I didn't mind the tourist trap vibe because from what I could see, everyone had a swell time. We ordered: 4*Duck Confit Salad served with poached Pears, Rocket & Orange Sauce: surprisingly good, mixed flavors: sweet and salty. 2*Prawn Salad served with Mixed leaves & Porter Bread: Do not order this. 3*Irish Lamb Stew served with Puff Pastry Lid: tender meat without too much flavor, but pretty good. 3*Honey & Thyme Glazed Roast Chicken Supreme served with Root Vegetable Colcannon, Sweet and Sour Red Onions, Sugar snap Peas & Red wine gravy: per normal. 2*Arlington Assiette of Desserts included Strawberry Cheesecake, Baileys Cheesecake, Guinness Mousse: very ordinary.

I think I was expecting the food to be not that great considering this was a dinner show, but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked everything I ordered. I started with the duck confit salad. The duck was cooked nicely and wasn't overdone. The pears and orange sauce with it was delicious giving a sweet and salty taste when mixed together. For my main course I got the Irish lamb stew. I personally love lamb, so I knew this was going to be a good dish for me. The lamb fell apart when you took a fork to it. My second option would have been the beef & Guinness because that sounded very good. Everyone received the same dessert trio: mini Strawberry cheesecake, baileys cheesecake and Guinness mousse. I ate them all haha. As for the entertainment, it was alright. Very cheesy, and I highly recommend going with a group. I went solo and got seated at a table with a bunch of other solo attendees. They were not very lively, and I feel like if I was with people I knew I would have had a better time. If you're looking for good music and you're solo, best to just walk around Temple Bar and listen for music you like.

Upon entering it was pretty packed, and my girlfriend and I were searching for the live music and where the band was going to set up if indeed there was going to be live music. Now here is where it gets funny my yelp friends, when we searched the outside bar area and still couldn't find it, I went up to the bar and asked one of the bartenders when do the musicians arrive and his reply was, " they are in the corner over there playing already." The three-person band was playing very softly and in the most far-reaching left side of the bar hidden away. You could not really hear it and when I say the place was jammed pack with people near them, I am not joking, we could barely see them. I had half a beer here as my girlfriend and I weren't in the mood to stand the whole time to music we could barely hear. I appreciate that this is an old bar that people frequent, kind of reminded me of the dive bars in Philly to a degree but just know what you are in for before coming if this is the bar you ultimately choose for a night out. As always people SYOY!!!!

But the space had since closed down, which was a shame. Now reopened since 2013 as a Jazz music venue, we paid 8 EUR after making the descent and entered a placer cooler than a hipsters bicycle. The bar and initial lounge was laid out well, which some funky décor and candles on tables. Next was the stage area, which was down a few steps, where there are more tables adorned with candles. Keep going to the left you are met with The Sitting Room, an area which is just that, a comfy sitting room. Back at the bar we spy craft beers - hurrah! I first go for a brewdog Punk IPA, but then switch to their 5am Saint. Both lovely beers. Due to the fabulous recent weather, the audience was slow to fill and as a result the music started a lot later than envisaged by the promoters. But when it did get started, my gosh was it a cracking set. The band was called Mages Takotak, French I believe. They were excellent. I'm no jazz expert, but we all really enjoyed the show. Alas by the time the second band had started, I had to go... it was a school night after all and as much as I would have loved to have stayed, I just couldn't Highly recommended and I definitely will be back.
