Great food, great neighborhood atmosphere and super friendly service. We stopped here after the Guinness Storehouse and it was a perfect place for dinner. The Irish stew and the barley risotto were delicious. Kids meals are 10Euro each and a good serving size! Live music started at 8:30pm on a Thursday night.

We are back 8 years after our first visit! Still the same :) Having the Guiness and beef casserole, mushroom risotto, burger and of course....a pint of Guiness! Food is great!

Best burger I have literally ever have!! I think about this place way too often. The drinks are delicious. Service was great. If I ever find my way back to Dublin this is 100% my first stop.

We got recommended this pub and specifically the seafood chowder by a few locals we met our first day in Dublin. After eating it, I understood why it was recommended. The chowder was loaded with seafood from shrimp, to smoked salmon, and mussels. So much meat that I wasn't able to finish it all. It was very filling but light at the same time.

Well regarded pub for a reason. Friendly service and good food and drinks. Perhaps on the pricier side for pubs but you get what you pay for here. Best Irish coffee I've had so far(we tried hot), large and piping hot fish and chips, and more. Also has live jazz music. Clean bathrooms downstairs.

What a fabulous find! We had a reservation at another restaurant otherwise we would have stayed for much, much longer. The pub had a true Irish pub feel with a cozy fireplace, friendly staff and from the accents surrounding up it was only locals. We saw some amazing food being delivered nearby. We wanted to go back but our time was limited. Next time.

Stopped by here for a break on my way to the Guinness storefront. Friendly staff. Open space. The fish and chips were good. Once the fish got cold it wasn't the same but I'm not a huge fan of fried fish, as is. But the first few bites of it warm and fresh were very good. Staff was really friendly. They even gave a few recommendations in the neighborhood to do. The bathrooms are downstairs and didn't see any sinks around. The space was taken so I left but unless the sinks are in the stalls, I don't know. Overall a great pub to just kick back and hang out.

Arthur's Pub was recommended by our tour guide Martin on the way to the Guinness Storehouse. After we wrapped up at Guinness we were famished. We went upstairs and was seated promptly. The waitress asked for our drink order and provided us with menus. I ordered a Jamison Barrel Select Old Fashioned and the Shepard's Pie. Let's get into the Shepards pie... hands down one of the best meals I had in Dublin. Arthur's brought the flavor. Too bad we missed the live music that normally happens here, but my belly was full and happy.

NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE LIVE JAZZ MUSIC WHICH REQUIRES A SEPARATE TICKET/RESERVATION. The live Jazz venue is located upstairs above the pub/restaurant area with a separate bar, and admission is 15 euro. We reserved for the pub/restaurant area only to realize that live music required a separate ticket, so we did a walk-in purchase of ticket. The venue was a bit crowded and hot initially, but after some seat and window adjustments it was very comfortable. Good bar, very friendly bartender, and wonderful music performance. We had the impression that food was only served in the pub/restaurant area but not in the music venue, but we did not confirm this, feel free to ask the staff.

Very nice pub with a warm brick and wood atmosphere. Super friendly staff and our beef and Guinness casserole was spot on! They make a fantastic Irish Coffee.

Food and beer are very good here. Service is quick and friendly. Food we had burgers that were thick and juicy with amazing flavor. Seafood chowder was good but there is definitely better in Ireland. The Guinness Stew on the other hand was fabulous. Cool bar with lots of history and only 2 blocks from Guinness factory. Great stop for lunch.

Traditional Irish Stew (1st plate) and the Beef & Guinness Casserole (2nd plate with the biscuit) - Delicious!

This was by far my favorite meal in Ireland! This is a big statement - we were in Belfast for a week and had amazing food then we went to Dublin for two days before flying back to the US. My boyfriend & I went to this pub since it was 3 blocks away from our AirBnB and very close to the Guinness Storehouse. Great location! When you walk in, the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a pub - cozy with a fire going, lots of people (it was packed when we went for lunch but we didn't have to wait for a table - the owner cleaned a table immediately and sat us himself!) and amazing food. I had the Irish Stew & my boyfriend had the Beef & Guinness casserole. They were very filling and delicious! As I said earlier, the owner was our server and super friendly - it was a very relaxing, enjoyable meal. I highly recommend it, and I wish we could go back - maybe in a few years!

It's a pretty small place and it feels very hidden so making a reservation is probably a good idea. How it works: walk downstairs (look for the neon sign that says "sshhh!") and GENTLY press the pig head on your left at the bottom to open the secret door. Our server was a gem and helped us navigate the extensive craft cocktail menu-I LOVED THE "breakfast of champions " and my wife enjoyed the noonin which was a bit of a riff on a margarita. We started with the creamy burratta with grilled pears and bread-heavenly and so fresh. For mains I got the pasta with beef and onions(yum!), but the standout was the braised short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes-amazing! -and at €30 a fantastic value. In fact everything was very reasonably priced and cocktails were only €15 each. Out entire bill was just €120-at least 50% less than a comparable meal at a quality restaurant in the US. Highly recommended (shhh!)

They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! It was one of our best times and meals on our trip around Ireland...memorable for all the right reasons!

It is believed that 'Temple Bar' street's name originated from 'Sir William Temple' from the 'Temple family (you can see the same on the outer wall of the pub) The most iconic pub in Dublin, the Temple Bar Pub, sits proudly on the corner of Temple Bar and Temple Lane South. With live music from 10:30 am every day, this is a pub with a party atmosphere all day long. I was amused at how many people popped in, snapped off a quick photo or a 30-second video, and then left without stopping for a drink. Then again, at €8 a pint, and it's one of the more expensive drinks in an already expensive city ( and I did the same in 2-3 pubs), and that's fine. Doesn't matter whether you wanna have food or drink here or not, but I would definitely recommend (in capital letters), have one drink here. Yes, it's expensive (just 3-4 euros more, come on), but the vibe, that's totally worth it. I truly believe, though, that if you're going to experience Dublin, then you can't leave without experiencing Temple Bar. I had like 4-5 drinks at different pubs, and though it's touristy and "trap"- I would come here again and again. No other place has a "temple bar pub ' vibe. There is always live music, the stage is rarely empty, and the diary is always full. The Temple Bar Pub is famed throughout Dublin for its lively, traditional Irish music scene.
