It is a year later and we just finished our second order with Unger. Same great service, same great products. (Shopping advice: on our first order we choose 3 types of shades, they are all great and work well but I LOVE the ones with the LiteRise. On a few of our shades I went with the standard chain cord. I didn't think it really mattered that much, but the new fancy shades make life super easy.) We now have lovely screen roller shades in the living room that cut down on the summer heat and still give us little view. I love them, wish we had got them sooner. We recently bought our first home and window coverings was not high on the priority list. After looking at different companies for quotes, Costco being one of them. I was quickly turned off by how damn expensive window coverings can be. This was until i found Cemac online. I read about their reasonable prices and great service. I decided to get one last bid before making a decision, so I called and reached Ungar. He was able to come out right away and was very knowledgeable about his products and made some recommendations on what type of coverings I should put inside my house. We ended up going with the Roller Shades and his prices were about 40% less than anywhere else I found. The notion that cheap prices equal bad service is completely false. Ungar and his wife (Charleen) run a business the way it should be run. Great prices paired with a great product in addition to their great service. We walked into Cemac on a random saturday and was greeted very kindly by their staff and Unger. Initially we were just looking and wasn't sure what we wanted yet, but once Unger came out and measure the following week with the offerings, we were happy with his professionalism and decided to go install 4 large windows with Hunter Douglas blinds to try them out. His crew came out to install and did a good job. I wanted the blinds really close to the floor so when they had put in two and I didn't like the distance, they immediately took it down and re-did again without complaint. Overall we really enjoy their service and knowledge and will definitely ask them again when we are ready for all the other windows in the house. read more

Cemac literally just finished installing our windows today. We ordered two sliding door treatments and three other window treatments. They were great from start to finish. Sharlene helped us at the showroom and was so gracious and informative. We have never bought window treatments before and she took the time to show us the different styles, functions (room darkening, etc.), and the many colors! We shopped around and Cemac gave us a very competitive quote. After our order, they measured our windows right away and kept us updated on the status of our order. Once the treatments arrived (about a couple of weeks later) they scheduled a time for installation. The installation team was great - very professional and punctual (which is important for us). They even graciously pointed out a slight imperfection in one of the treatments we ordered. They worked with the manufacturer to get us a new one and installed the re-ordered one right away. It was a pleasure working with Unger and his team. They were very professional and went out of his way to make us happy. Unger came by the house to measure our 18 feet window and sliding door and a kitchen bay window we wanted blinds for. He took his time and was very meticulous. He sent us a quote the next day and we ordered the Hunter Douglas Skyline Panels for our 18ft windows and door and Light Rise Shade for our kitchen. The order took 2 weeks for Hunter Douglas to make the blinds and Unger's team came out that weekend to install. There was a little bit of issue closing the blinds that his team could not figure out. Unger personally came out within the hour to see what was the problem. Unger's experience with the Hunter Douglas Panels helped him resolved the issue in a matter of minutes. I really recommend Cemac Windows for you window treatment needs. Our initial visit we worked with Justin and Charlene and after the initial quote we mainly worked with Unger. All were very pleasant to work with but our experience with Unger was wonderful. He was very helpful when finalizing our choice for windows (ending up going with Hunter Douglas plantation shutters). As others have said he is very professional, straight forward and a very nice person to top it off! And if you are worried about paying too much I will tell you Cemac is very competitive and based on the quotes I received not only was his customer service wonderful but his prices were on the mark for us! My brother who happened to be here to witness the installation and the follow up visit to verify everything was installed properly was very impressed and stated if he could hire him he would for his new home...but he is moving out of state. Personally I am recommending Cemac/Unger to everyone I know who wants window treatments.
