Spending $36k on blinds seems a little crazy, but Erica Unger and Charlene, made the effort of explaining and measuring everything correctly and efficiently. Installation was professional and the delivery time was as promised. I went thru a few comparison of the type of blinds, from basic, to shutters and i found that the Hunter Douglas was the option we enjoyed the most. Below are a variety of the styles we got for 1) Some were Powerview in the main area of the house 2) Screen Rollers 3) Pirouette 4) Honeycomb 5) Dual controls, fixed and pebble remote 6) Luminette PowerView Not sure on all technical terms or spelling but in all it was well worth it. Pricing was competitive, not sure on the post service, since we have not had any problems yet, but Unger assured me that if anything needs assistance to give them a call. Hopefully no issues but if something does come up they will back it up. I will have a follow up post if anything does occur. But as far as now, I am a fan. read more

Back in Summer 2021, we were shopping for windows blinds and shutters, and in the process, we had engaged with 6 different firms, and Cemac is by far the best in customer service. Gwen was super attentive and Yolo was always very professional, patient, and mindful of customer's needs. Due to budget concerns, we in the end did not choose Cemac for our project, and we felt terrible about it, it was Yolo, who came to our home twice, carrying heavy cases of demo products, and patiently going over many different design ideas, told us not to feel bad and that she appreciated the opportunity. I went in to inquire about this small job over the weekend and Erica was out measuring the window the next weekday, and ordering the shade for us from Hunter Douglas within the week. Since they were 15 years old most stores told me they would have to be replaced since parts are not available anymore Cemac replaced five and only one had to be sent to the factory for repair. We recently got Hunter Douglas vertical blinds for our sliding doors from Cemac. We walked into the store because it was the closest HD showroom to us. Prior to this we did visit another two places in Pasadena - one at the corner of Wilson and Colorado, and Phillips Draperies on Sierra Madre. Unger was very helpful in the store and we had plenty of time and attention from him in discussing possible products. He was able to call HD and find out details he did not know. The very next day he sent us prices for the 5 options we were interested in. Unger came over on a Sunday to make full measurements and take the order. He called ahead of the appointed time to let us know he was on his way. Once the order was placed, it came in almost exactly on time. We arranged for a day to get them installed, and he and his crew called again ahead of reaching our house. (I am mentioning this because in my experience the vast majority of servicemen do not come on time and do not tell you they are running late!) We really appreciate his professionalism. The Cadence verticals that his crew installed look very good, and we are very pleased with the installation, the neat and clean work, and the professionalism of Unger and his crew. I purchased window blinds last year from Cemac. Prices were reasonable and installation was efficient. Recently, one of the valances fell off the clips and broke. Erica again provided excellent customer service and had a new valance sent out with hardware. The magnetic clips are far superior. Because the original style of the valance was no longer available and I had 2 windows in that bedroom, she ordered the extra valance so they would match. The color, although not exact, was close enough. You would not believe the shades of "white" available. We recently got 4 new window coverings for our apartment and wanted to look at some Hunter Douglas items before purchasing. From Hunter Douglas' website it indicated that Cemac was the nearest showroom. I checked them out on Yelp and based on the reviews, thought I'd give them a look. Charlene was very knowledgeable about all of the products they carried. When I would ask a question, she would give me the answer. Other places, they usually say, "Let's look that up," which is understandable but can make for a loooooong visit when you have numerous options to evaluate. When it came time to measure, Unger was very meticulous and detailed. Three of the 4 window coverings were rather tricky and required extremely precise measurements. The way Unger measured and re-measured and drew detailed diagrams made me feel comfortable that there wouldn't be any delays because of inaccurate measurements. The installation was smooth as can be with no surprises or shoddy work. The crew was also very thorough about cleaning up everything after they finished. I'm glad Yelp and Hunter Douglas' websites connected me to Cemac as I wouldn't have known about their shop in San Gabriel otherwise. In the future, I will always use Cemac, Charlene and Unger for my interior design needs. read more

I don't know how anyone could say they have great customer service. Also the store doesn't even look like its open. Shades drawn over doors and very dark inside upon entering. I went there because I had a shade I needed to replace. I was not aware that they only carried Hunter Douglas products there and the old shade I brought in was another brand (from where I don't know). The woman had such a thick accent it was hard to understand her. She just kept saying that they only have Hunter Douglas and she actually put her hand on my shoulder to nudge me out the front door. I've never received such rude service. I'm guessing mostly because I am not of Asian descent. I would never recommend this buiness to anyone based on their lousy customer service.
