Difficult to find when arriving at night, the signs are small so be on the lookout for yard signs with directions where to park. Definitely wear tennis shoes & have phone for flashlight or mini flashlight. The walk to the ticket entrance is very dark and your on outside gravel/dirt. Also warning for those who are sensitive to smoke, the fog/smoke they use for the fear factor is very thick and if you have any migraine/eye issues they do use strobe lights in the haunted houses. There are 3 haunted houses and it's difficult to see which line is which when you first arrive. I recommend the following order to get the best results out of visiting here. Note there are several "exit" signs inside each haunted house but isn't the "right" path to take through them. The staff may redirect you to the right direction. 1st go to the Zombie haunted house - very low scare but be prepared to duck down through part of the course. 2nd go to the Psycho Circus - I'd say mid level scare and length. 3rd go to Cemetarium last - this is the bigger haunted house with better scare. Be prepared when walking that there are different levels and could slip if you don't take it slow. Overall 3 star as the staff was extremely nice, costumes were great. read more

Maybe the worst experience overall ever. Parking was free but it goes downhill after that . Nobody directing where to go - talked to other patrons on where to pay. It was 18 bucks for each event-wow really. The wife was committed so we buy 2. Get in a line for 30 mins in 50 degree weather. Finally get in to a maze of plywood with landscaping stakes on a dirt surface. Encountered 4 semi scary players the encounter was less than scary. Took 15 mins to walk the entire thing. Highly recommend you pass. If you want to see scary people in ovale go to Jan's. JK Bottom line this place no bueno. read more

PROS: Entertainment included woman walking on stilts & a man twirling fire batons (yay). Parking was free, but limited spaces. -- CONS: OVERPRICED. High Scare vs Low Scare? No one mentioned a high/low scare BEFORE paying for tix at the booth. Instead, we waited 3 hours on a dark weekend evening only for a 10 minute walk-thru that was filled with tired children. As we approached the entry, a staffer starts telling us not to curse, "family friendly event"..... are you kidding me? YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE THIS BEFORE SELLING TICKETS. We, as ADULTS, are looking for real scares. Bumps in the night. This should be renamed as a park that attracts families with young children. Uneven walking surfaces. Dim lighting. Mismanaged lines. Rude staff members. "Rules" NOT communicated BEFORE purchasing tickets. "No Swearing" This is an actual quote before entering. By the time we actually made it thru, after a 3 hour wait, not only was I not scared, was downright pissed. This is review is for 2021 with some tips for people needing ADA/mobility accommodations. Quick tip: BE Prepared! This is a haunted house that is outdoors in the dark. I recommend a flashlight. If you have mobility challenges, this may be too challenging for you. My friend is on crutches, and he was a good sport about it BUT others may not be able to handle the distance/walking. It is a walk from the paved parking lot onto a path, downhill, in the dark, to get to the attractions. The ADA spaces were pretty far from the attraction. We were lucky and got a closer parking spot. You will be outdoors, in the dark, and there may be long lines, so don't complain about waiting in a line! We had to wait in line with everyone else. The staff were super acclimating for me and my friend on crutches - we purchased the low scare version, and at some points staff guided us through (because it was too dark or confusing!) If you are photosensitive, there are bright flashing lights, that made things disorienting. This is kind of like walking through a maze, lots of twists and turns, so I appreciated the help from the staff. I called and asked about some of these things because my friend is on crutches and we needed to know if he could safely walk through. The staff were super friendly and answered my questions. As an avid haunted house attendee, I was so excited to attend these haunted houses, however unfortunately this place was a HUGE let down compared to all the others I've been to in Northern California and Sacramento area. So here's why: 1. Arrived at 7:15pm, which is 15 min after opening, so there wasn't very many people there just yet. In the picture I posted, that's how long the line was, not bad right? WRONG! We waited in line for 2 hours and 10 minutes by the time we got to the front for ONE haunted house. It was outrageous. There's no reason as to why a line with only about 30 groups in front of me should take 2 hours. I understand having a "Check point" before letting the next group in, but I think that is a poorly designed check point because it doesn't get groups through and keep the line moving at a reasonable pace. 2. The one haunted house we went in, the Cemetarium one, had a total of 9 actors. I counted while going through. It was poorly designed and had hardly any scares. Super disappointing! 3. The ground in the haunted houses was very uneven and was hard to walk on, especially while it was raining. Maybe if they had lights along the ground so they don't have people breaking an ankle would be beneficial. 4. Advertising for the "vip" front of the line tickets was non existent. I had to ask a few people who had "vip" and they said it's a small upcharge. If I would've known about it I would've done that to avoid standing in a 2 hour SMALL line for one haunted house. 5. Unfortunately, I was unable to walk through the other 2 houses because I wasn't up for standing in line another 4 hours. My back couldn't handle it! I feel like I was ripped off paying over $30-$35 (after fees) for one haunted house with hardly any scares. Hopefully this review helps others who are thinking about attending Cemetarium. My teen and her friends visited last night, early in the evening at 7 pm as soon as it opened. Cost was $6 per ticket as part of a bundle. Cheap enough for an easy going night for kids just trying to have a cheap, fun evening. Ticket redemption staff: F Ticket redemption staff were rude and essentially told the paying ticket holders they were wasting their time and making it "difficult" for the staff by selecting "low scare." First off, why offer different levels if you don't want to actually offer that experience? It's a 10 minutes or less experience. Give me a break. Why make fun of kids and bully them? Is this the world we live in where grown adults ridicule teens to their face when they are paying customers? Lastly, most of these kids have never gone to a haunted house, so what's wrong with trying it out first at a super inexpensive rate? Well, I guess they won't ever be going to this "high scare" or not. A bunch of unprofessional, rude and trash staff at the front. I'm reaching out to this business to request a refund for what we paid for the bundle. Edited: I received an email from someone that felt my review was "rude" to the actors so I removed my comments about the actors. I have no idea why it only has 3-1/2 stars. Maybe it is a little low key and there are more intense haunted houses but it was still really good. I got quite a few good screams and I feel like if I could make it through without screaming then it's not very good. I think this is actually the same one that I volunteered at awhile back. Only two haunts were open when we went, the circus and the cemetarium. We did the "full scare" for both. I guess we went on a "low scare" night, because they were letting all of the low scare people in before theyd let the rest of us in. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes before they let us in. The circus one was cool, not scary at all though, so I dont know why people would want to do the "low scare". The cemetarium was pretty boring. A couple actors followed behind us. I kept waiting for something to happen or for someone to jump out but nothing happened. Mediocre at best. They take cash and card. As a lover of haunted houses, I really wanted to like Cemetarium Haunted House. Unfortunately, I was gravely disappointed. First of all, I purchased a Groupon for two for admission to the haunted house. The Groupon could not be redeemed for tickets on their website as instructed by Groupon itself, only for 50% off the total ticket price. This luckily was only a minor irritant, as a call informed us this was a known issue and that we could bring the Groupon to the attraction itself to be redeemed (it still would have been nice of them to post about this known issue on their Facebook page or website). Secondly, on the first night we came to the haunted house, two out of three of the attractions were closed. Fortunately, they let us go through the one open maze, which had a pretty decent set. Unfortunately, as we were about halfway through the maze, all of the actors completely disappeared. You could tell there were scare spots where actors were supposed to be...but there were none there. This left us pretty underwhelmed. Thirdly, we were allowed to come back one more time with a VIP upgrade in an attempt to negate some of the attractions that we had paid for with the Groupon being closed the previous time. This was Halloween night, the last day the Groupon could be used, so everyone else with the Groupon also came back this night, resulting in the VIP line being even longer than the regular line. It took us about an hour of waiting in line to get into the Cemetarium maze, which was extremely understaffed again. The Psycho Circus maze was about a twenty minute wait in line, but was a complete joke. There were only two actors in the entire maze, so we essentially wandered through it the entire time hoping the emptiness was a lead up to something great at the end. Nope, just the exit. Cemetarium Haunted House is one I would you recommend you definitely skip during the Halloween season, unless major improvements are made in the future. Essentially a waste of time and money, whether you purchased tickets at the full price of $32 a person or paid half price with the Groupon. I'll give the volunteers who were in the maze credit though, as they made an effort despite such disorganization and disappointment. read more

Went in the first house for 5mins! And needed to get back in line for next house. We all cut our losses and left instead of waiting any longer. You are literally standing in line to donate money. If they know how booked they are gonna be they shouldn't be selling tickets and at the very least give an idea of approximate wait time. read more

Staff was nice but horrible planning and communication. Went on Friday because it was opening night. Drove all the way to the boondocks just to find out they couldn't open that night because of inspection. Tried going Sunday night and was open but only 1 out of the 3 were open and took 5 mins to get through and again no communication on the website or anything. Skipping this one and going to try Out another one next year. Oh and the place was like walking in a cloud of dust, all in your eye and hard to breath. While waiting in line for Psycho Circus, a monster with a top hat rammed his nose into my hair and used his entire body to shoved me into the steal gate. In character he asked, "what's the matter"? Shocked and blindsided by what happened, I remained silent for moment then said, "I'm just grateful I wasn't hurt", because my feet were not planted to the ground (my right foot was crossed over my left ankle). One of the longer mazes/haunts that, when actors are present, is pretty effective. Good effects, actors really into their roles. A few stretches of the maze felt empty but overall a really solid haunt. Based on the poster next to the ticket office, we were under the impression that there were two haunts available, so we were willing to pony up twice the price for fast pass tix. This haunt is not worth that price, however, the regular line to get in was probably 2+ hrs, so, consider that. After reading their website, its clearer what they were advertising, but I wish that had been stated better on the poster onsite. Effort was made to provide entertainment in line. The circus entertainers on hand were pretty uninspired, but the full on Thriller routine was great. read more

One of my favorite things to do in October is attend Haunted Houses. On Friday I went through all three of the attractions at this particular haunted house. I typically attend at least one a year on a bad year. This haunted house is great. Friendly people working the ticket booth as well as great ticket takers who were having a good time interacting with the line. The inside of the haunted houses were well designed with perfect lighting that didn't give away the scares. There was a good mix of experienced haunters as well as people who were volunteering and having a good time. The actors were creative in picking their places as well as working together to make sure they got as many of the scare spots as possible amongst actors. Overall I had a great time and would do it again. read more

Worst haunted house I've ever been to! My group got there at 7:15 on Sunday and still Waited in line for 2 hours. Then we finally get to the entrance and had to listen to the woman working the gate, give us a 10 minute lecture on what to do and not do in the haunt. Repeating herself multiple times! She literally treated us like we were children and we were clearly Grown ass adults! Only to walk through a cheap, empty haunted house with nothing but, kids working. Not to mention it only took about 10 minutes to walk through it. They literally just scream in your ear and bang on walls. Most of the sections were completely empty. Cemetarium haunted house is a very loving and friendly environment. Ya the wait can be long but if you go to six flags or even universal Studios the wait is well over 4+ hours. If you have ever been to a haunted house then you will understand that 1 or mabye 2 hours isnt bad for the price you pay. If you want to get in faster i recommend getting vip. This place has been a wonderful play to come to and enjoy a night out and its also really close and really cheap for tickets and the set work is top notch for the amount of time they had to rebuild. If you dont your time here then mabye you should relook at your attitude and if your drunk plz keep your hands to your self no one likes random strangers touching them. read more

I love this haunt! The actors know how to get around the whole attraction in hardly any time but walking through takes about 5-7 minutes. There are also two other haunts that are equally as long as the main one. Cemetarium also changes scenes every 30 seconds so it feels like you are being put into different situations. No one scare is the same. I highly recommend this haunt. Even on slow nights they manage to make it feel like that place is crawling with actors scaring you from every direction. read more
