I was torn between a 3 and a 4 or seems like every year is the end thing price are higher and entertainment is budgeted. It was a pretty good day.. the parking was neat by however up a very steep hill there was handicap accommodation and accessible areas. I came in and immediately sat found to watch the Joslin fighting. It was hot and someone was screaming near us.. lol we then walked around and realized it was just a circle. There were some interactions but limited it seems like more of buying then entertainment. Food had limited options and long lines in heat. Many people dressed up and was in costume however no one looked to stay more than about a hour. For prices might not attend again

The 30th annual Folsom Renaissance Faire happened last weekend on 9/24 and 9/25. My family and I came on 9/24 to explore the Faire. It hosted many vendors including clothings, hats, and accessories as well as foam weapons and real weapons. They didn't have too many food vendors so the lines were long. They had archery, jousting, story time, "meet the queen" and weapon demonstrations throughout the time we were there. If it isn't too hot next year, we will be back again.

This was our parties first time at this event. To say the least we were disappointed smd went ever bother to go back. The parking filled up so we had to park on the street- no biggie but clearly poorly planned. The layout of the venue made everything extremely crowded and hard to move. The food and drink lines were insane. Overall there was a huge lack of structure and space for the amount of people this event chose to accommodate.

This Faire was fair. I'm used to a large event like the ones I used to go to in Colorado since I've never been to one out here. Aside from that it was a beautiful day and people who were dressed up looked absolutely amazing. There wasn't really much in entertainment but a fair amount of people selling trinkets and swords and what nots of stuff you don't really need but might want lol. The food choices were really good, I was surprised at the amount of options. They of course had the traditional turkey leg and beers. This was actually my daughters first time at an event like this so we felt it was customary to give her a taste. Lol That being said it was the size of her head and she enjoyed it very much lol. We had a perfect day, it wasn't too crowded and everyone was nice and pleasant to be around. I especially loved that they were selling books. Also loved the camp setups

Sparce parking and a small faire equals 3 stars. Seriously, I could have been done with this place minus the jousting show in one hour. It's basically and literally walking in a circle. Overpriced souvenirs and overpriced food doesn't help either. And somehow they ran out of a lot of different foods such as the meat pie and eggrolls from what we heard. Lines a mile long and no place to sit. If you have a coupon go, but if not probably not worth the money to come here.

The best time ever bought this costume there and I really felt like I was in the rennasance time , amazing entertainment and the food was great , watched the jousting exhibits so exciting never thought I would get to see in person , the poetry just everything and the price couldn't believe how inexpensive it was can't wait until next year !!!

Nice little fair. Great costumes, booths, displays, and shows. Favorite was Jousting, Falconry, and Juggling. Also, the food was great. I had a Scotch Egg and really liked it. My girlfriend enjoyed the jewelry and masks and other art. Closes at 6pm. Parking a little challenging. This year (2019) weather cooperated very nicely. Veteran and Military tickets available online. Very reasonable. 4-stars for sure.

    Sang some very nice songs.

Our first time here. A bit small which is probably a good thing. Lots of vendors, not too many food choices especially if you're trying to eat fruits and vegetables. One of the food booths ran out of everything except sausages by 3pm. One choice of beer - Newcastle. The jousting show was fun. Watched some singers, they were good. Liked the Falconry section. Parking was only $5. Best part was seeing everyone dressed up.

Had such a great time at the Ren Faire this year. It was my 2nd year going and we had so much fun. Jousting is my favorite part. If you come to this event know that it is super hot. Bring a water bottle and and umbrella for shade would be my suggestions. If you don't like to stand in line bring you own snacks as well. Other than that it a great time, everyone is super friendly and the costumes are amazing!!

Had a great time with the family here. Jousting tournament was a fun experience but the overall atmosphere and camaraderie of likeminded people was my Favorite part. We had a great time dressing up for the occasion and exploring the different booths and activities.

To be included with the pass were two drink coupons and free bottled water. We are in our late sixties so it was important to us to be in a cool place. In the description, it sounded like we'd be watching the rodeo from the A/C tent. When we got there, we found out this was not the case. The "air-conditioned" tent was warmer than it was outside. There were two very large box fans/swamp coolers at either end of the tent, not nearly enough to keep it cool. We each ordered a drink (included with one of the drink coupons) and were asked if we'd like a shot for $2. We said yes and they took the 2nd drink coupon (value $10) for the shot. I would have gladly paid the $2 in cash to save my other drink coupon. This happened so fast (she tore the drink coupon off my wristband) that I didn't have a chance to react. Also, when we were walking to our seats, there was a female staff member walking towards us, she stepped directly in my path and started waving her hands at me to get out of her way. So rude! I was walking on the right side right against the fence and she was walking against foot traffic. The show, itself, was a lot of fun, very patriotic and action packed. Also the porto potties were very nice, large with their own sinks. I would suggest that the Rodeo provide clearer information on exactly what the different tier tickets include and train their staff better, especially to not be disrespectful to the patrons.

I have always looked forward to attending the rodeo, but this experience was beyond disappointing…read more Someone was sitting in our assigned seats, and despite asking multiple staff members for help, no one was willing or able to resolve the situation. We were left on our own, felt completely unwelcome, and ended up leaving. My friend is Indian and I'm Mexican, and the way we were treated left us feeling as though we didn't matter. Whether that was the intent or not, that is how the experience felt to us. Because of how this was handled, I will not be returning or recommending this event to others. I hope the organizers take guest concerns more seriously in the future so no one else has the same experience.
