Love all their Sinaloa food. They have white menudo, my favorite! Great service, cozy family ambiance.

I recently moved to South Gate and this place was recommended by the locals. I came for breakfast and the food is fresh and taste is delicious. The service was excellent the waitress was kind and attentive. We had questions and she answered them all. The ambiance is like your eating with family. There's artwork that shows their Latin pride and sport fans. My boyfriend got the torta de jamón which is a fresh bread with ham, avocado, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and onion. He was obsessed. I got the enchiladas de res (pork) and the beans and rice was tasty like if I was eating at my moms house. I recommend this place to come and eat authentic Sinaloa Mexican food in the Los Angeles county area.

Southgate place try old school cardos (soups) that take me back to grandmas and reminds me of how tasty caldos can be. Try it out, you will be glad.

I'm drooling just thinking about this place... Cenaduria Gumacus is a small Mexican restaurant in the city of South Gate. If you drive too fast you just might pass it. It's located on State between Firestone and Ardmore. When I visit any Mexican restaurant, I always hope I don't end up consuming a gut bomb. You know, when you eat something and it tastes great but then your stomach bloats because of all it's fiber and fried-ness and then eventually MORE happens...You know what I mean! Hence: GUT BOMB. This place is gut bomb free! Food was amazingly fresh and delicious. I walked away feeling satisfied and sated. I had the traditional Mexican fare of rice and beans, a shrimp taco and a potato taco. My friend frequents this place. Her and her family are from Sinaloa. If you're not familiar with Mexico and it's states, Sinaloa is a state on the western coast of Mexico. It is home to Mazatlan. Every state in Mexico has their distinct way of doing things, and according to my friend, friend potato tacos are just one of their specialties. Funny thing is, my mom made potato tacos the same way and she's not from Sinaloa. They tasted just as good as my moms and that says A LOT coming from me. I tried my friend's chilaquiles and they burned a new hole in my tongue. Just kidding! seriously, they were spicy. I don't do spicy. Consider that a fair warning to those of you who can't handle the heat like me! I will definitely visit this restaurant again and if you're looking for real, genuine, Mexican food consider this it!

Comida Sinaloense. Too bad is only too go. Hopefully not for long. The food is good. Mejor que la de tu mama. The machaca con verdura is the best. My baby loves to eat frijoles puercos con tortillas echas a mano, and drink chocomil.

The motherfu*king beans are infused with pork? Handmade corn tortillas? They serve spicy shredded pork? Cold ass tecates? Need I say more? I don't.....but I will. CHILORIO http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cenaduria-gumacus-south-gate?select=rSytvG6l1lWH1VoFPnTElw#_Fi7DfgEeUSU4wur6lyH5g Perfectly cooked and marinated pieces of shredded pork with onions and peppers. Toss this into one of their warm handmade corn tortillas and slather that bad boy with their pork infused beans.....jubilation. Also got some chicken enchiladas for the wife to go.... CHICKEN ENCHILADA PLATE http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cenaduria-gumacus-south-gate?select=rSytvG6l1lWH1VoFPnTElw#RJlm8PrcHDWEEmwnBrQHaQ It wasn't too pretty, but the wife ate it all up. I had a bite, these were just standard in my opinion. Ahem... Did I mention the motherfu*king beans are cooked in PORK FAT!?!?!

Good food but felt bad knowing the previous owner in 1990 or late 1989 or 88 was killed inside.

The only reason reason I'm giving them a 5 star is because their menudo deserves it. All the other food I have tired is basic.

The tacos were incredible, extremely fresh. I had a shrimp taco that was served with a medley of grilled vegetables and it had just enough crunch. It was LOADED with plenty of shrimp. Their barbacoa is wonderful, really juicy, and I love that they garnish with pickled red onion. I also tried their Tinga Masala, yes that's chicken tinga cooked in curry! It wowed me, it tasted so good! Their tortillas are hechas a mano, handmade corn tortillas which made it even better. Definitely going back, gonna try their burritos next time! I'm just shocked I overlooked this spot, I live really close and they just opened a coffee stand in the same spot which I also recommend! Demanding as Mother's Day, when most places are overwhelmed, they still managed to deliver an experience that felt intentional and heartfelt. Despite the long wait, it was clear that the demand far exceeded expectations, yet the service never lost its warmth. At one point, she even offered me an agua fresca as a gesture of kindness while I waited. I respectfully declined, understanding that a day like Mother's Day comes with heavy volume and pressure, and that delays are simply part of supporting a small business doing its best under strain. What stood out most was the owner's presence. She carried herself like a mother to everyone there serving each customer as if they were family. She stepped away from her own personal time to make sure other families were fed and cared for. That kind of sacrifice and commitment is not just business; it's cultural preservation in motion. TACOZ brings authentic heritage flavors to the city in a way that feels irreplaceable. The tamales, carnitas, and overall food experience were deeply rooted in tradition and full of flavor that reflects generations of culture. People should understand that moments like this are not about convenience they are about supporting something real. On busy days especially, patience is part of respecting the work being done. Instead of criticism, there should be appreciation for what it takes to keep a small, culture-driven business alive and thriving. In the end, TACOZ delivered more than food. It delivered a connection to heritage, family, and community. That kind of experience is something worth valuing and protecting. Keep Going gurl ! I'll be back and so many of your audience ! One person doesn't bring down a team ! Both meats were good, but a little under-seasoned for my personal taste. I also tried the Jamaica agua fresca. It was refreshing, but I'd personally give it about a 2 out of 5. On the other hand, the salsa macha was really good and added a lot of flavor to the meal. The place is a bit small for dining in, especially when it gets busy, but the customer service was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. I'd definitely come back again because I noticed several other menu items I'd like to try next time.
