This place is great. Every time I come here, their staff is super friendly and helpful. Its a very family friendly environment to enjoy some dinner with friends and family without having to yell across the table. The food is good as well. My daughter brought me here for my birthday last year. The food is delicious. The waitresses are attentive. The location decor is a little outdated but it looks like any other marisco spot in the area. I highly recommend the torre mixta and the camarones veracruz. read more

I've been a couple times now and it's worth the visit. This visit I choose tacos: Macaha and El diablo (shrimp). The Macaha was a bit dry but it was still pretty tasty. The Diablo sauce wasn't as hot as I like but I like fire in my mouth so...there's that's. The service is always great; then even have a little button on the table if you need anything. I called in a phone order for pick up, and the hot food was a bit cold, and maybe that was one of the issues with my order. I do live like 3 minutes away so cold food wasn't expected. (I did pick up my food within the time they said it would be ready). I just wasn't impressed. The shrimp tacos (soft tortilla) weren't the best, kind of dry. The tomatoes that they added as toppings weren't ripe and you could taste it. The enchiladas seemed to be folded quesadillas with sauce over them and toooee with what seemed to be chopped bagged salad. Their rice isn't flavor full. We also ordered a shrimp cocktail and a fish ceviche tostada, which I didn't try (husbands order) so I can't judge those. They must have other dishes that are their specialty because they have high reviews so maybe I just ordered the wrong things. read more

It was a day off and met a friend for lunch. It's located in a shopping center so parking is limited. Good thing there is parking on the street. Walk in and pick were you want to sit. The staff is friendly and right away they bring you a menu and tostadas and salsa. You sit and dip as you look over the menu. Just be careful because before you know it you are two tostadas in and have not placed your order. They also bring you a cup with a little soup. I do have to say the soup has a good flavor to it. Once I looked over the menu I placed my order. Tostada de ceviche de cameron - The tostada was a goods ice and good flavor. Of course I added the basics like salt and tapatio. That always adds a little more flavor to it. I have to say I enjoyed this more than the cocktail. It is a good amount and I think with two tostadas this would have been goo meal on it's own. Shrimp Cocktail - Shrimp with cubes of tomatoes and cucumber. The flavor was just ok. I had to add ketchup and of course Tapatio. That added a little more flavor to it. I do not think I would get this again and I would just stick to the tostadas. Tostada Mixta - My friend had the mixta tostada and he really enjoyed it. It came with shrimp, fake crab, cucumber, tomato all on top of a tostada. Michelada - I had a modelo michelada and it was just ok. I have had better. The flavor was ok and I am not a fan of chamoy on the rim of the glass but that really didn't stop me from drinking it. Maybe next time I will try something different or just stick to the ceviche. Tried this place out a few days ago. Worse seafood ever. We ordered a plate of aguachiles in green sauce & a large shrimp cocktail. The portions on both are ridiculous for the price. Spent $20 on each and they were so small. The aguachiles hardly had any liquids at all, so there wasn't much for the shrimp to soak in. The plate wasn't even half full. The cocktail was like a regular sized cup with a lid. They were so bland, no taste. The aguachiles had no spice to it, they should be hot. I had to add Clamato, some salt pepper, all kinds of stuff to make it taste okay, otherwise it tasted like shrimp water with hardly any shrimp on either one read more

I love their mariscos! I either get a Botana el Parque or a Molcajete de Mariscos. The complimentary Taliban soup is delicious and perfect for hangovers. It's spicy and it comes with one cooked shrimp. I just tried the lemonade last time I went and it was amazing! Next time I go, I want to try the Mariscoco. Been coming to this restaurant for the last 8 years. The inside has been transformed into a beautiful restaurant with booths and ceiling fans. It is a very comfortable restaurant to eat at. The food is very delicious with their specialty being seafood. More specifically Mexican style seafood. There are some dishes that are not seafood but they are really few and far between. I was considering taking off 2 stars but decided on 1 Star and it's all because of the prices. They have increased the prices by a pretty hefty amount. I had some camarones rancheros and 1 small taco de uyi uyi and a can of soda and the bill was 19 bucks. That's just for me alone. Sure the food is delicious but with tip you end up paying about 22 bucks for lunch. A bit steep. Anyways, this place is delicious but you may find yourself paying a hefty price if you come with family. read more

Don't ask me what Perihuete means! I just know one thing- they have some of the best seafood around! Located right inside a small shopping center with very limited parking, El Perihuete boasts some of the best seafood. Possibly the dish they are most known for is their tacos a la U Yu Yui! Yes, sounds funny! It consists of shrimp wrapped up in a warm corn tortilla battered in cream! Mmmm! When you come right inside and sit, they immediately present you with an appetizer consisting of a cup of warm spicy soup with a small piece of shrimp, alongside with some tostadas. I have had about half of what the menu consists of here. Their campechanas are just beyond mouth watering. Their agua chiles are spicy to the kick. Their tostadas de ceviche or jaiva or pescado or even their mixtas come loaded so much, you will barely be able to finish. Fresh seafood and great service is all I have to say about this place. Seriously.... Perihuete has the best avocados, ever. They are manufactured in the back by God himself. lol. They come out perfect and lovely green. Everytime I ask for one, they never seize to amaze me on the quality of it. I really want to know the main source. (On this alone, I love them.) I frequent this place, a lot. I always get 1 tostada de Camaron + 1 taco Uyuyui (without onions) and natural water. For $5-7, you can get fed delciousness... The Taliban soup is complimentary and you can munch on some tostadas with salsa as you wait... It can get really LOUD in there... You might get stuck watching Novelas against your own will. lol. Also, if you want to eat with more than 5+ people go to the South Gate location, unless... you don*t mind eating in the middle of the restaurant (next to the door that is always opening and closing). hah. Once your actual food gets to the table, you get ready for the best 30 minutes of your life. The seafood is great quality. The tostadas are sturdy and wont break once you bite into it. My typical order at El Perihuete is a tostada de Cameron (mayo on the tostada) and a shrimp quesadilla. It is unrivaled in taste. Also, the foil that comes with the buffet of seafood is superb.
