Willow Spring Open Space is a convenient and beautiful outdoor opportunity for walking, biking,…read moreleashed dog-walking, and horse-riding (bring your own horse). The paths are concrete and/or gravel, there are benches for rest opportunities, and there are doggie bag receptacles so owners can pick up after their pets. This large space is surrounded by residential communities and roadways, but I felt like I was in my own little world while walking. According to signage at the park, the trail is open from 6am to 11pm. Willow Spring Open Space is also the home of the Englewood Dam (an earthen embankment dam used for flood control) and there is a service center on site for regular maintenance. As a visitor to the area, I walked the trail here a few times and found the area to be incredibly photogenic and easy to follow. It should be noted that signage on the trail indicates coyotes are active in the area. When I inquired about this to locals, they confirmed this is true, but that during daylight hours, they rarely come out of their dens unless they are sick. However, caution should be used during dawn/dusk/dark. Enjoy!

It has a refreshed and updated feel on the inside. There was a group of senior citizens playing games in the main area. And there are quite a few private education and meeting rooms. The staff would also take us on various outdoor trips. I obtained my G.E.D in less than 2 months. As well, with their help and job leads, I started work at my first job in the state of Colorado. That made me proud of myself. I was offered housing and other resources upon meeting certain requirements when I left. Urban Peak was really a blessing for me. Keep up the good work.

We were responsible for purchasing the food and creating the menu. After preparing the meal we had a little bit of time to hang out, and this was always my favorite time: sitting around the table hearing about aspirations and news of a new job or a new apartment. Urban Peak has a range of real-life resources, including medical facilities, SAT course training, assistance finding jobs and apartments, etc. Transitioning into adulthood is very hard, and young adults need (and deserve) to have encouragement and a safe place to learn self-reliance. The people who work here and the people they serve deserve your admiration and support.
