Disgusting women's bathroom. Disappointing as the rink is nicely done. This was quite the surprise just now.

Current situation. Can't use the restroom due to the state of it. Rink looked nice upon arrival. This is just gross.

    Pickleball Courts

Great facility overall, however, the pickleball courts are severely neglected. We have developed a pretty solid community around the open-play pickleball nights throughout the week, but it feels like the employees view pickleball as more of an annoyance rather than recognizing the $2,500+ in revenue they make weekly from pickleball open-play alone. The courts are extremely cracked to the extent of affecting most games played, and the wind-breaks aren't even fully attached to the fence. So much potential here, but the staff and coordinators have really dropped the pickleball on this one.

I don't know much about the facility outside of the rink but it's the best place in town to go skating. The rink is great as long as the ice has been cleaned before a session. Unfortunately like most government funded facilities they're usually short on staff. They do great membership sales 2x a year where you can buy individual visits vs a full membership which is great for those who only want to skate or swim. Best thing about the arena is if you're a hockey fan. Predators practices are open to the public. You can have an up close and personal hockey experience outside of paying for a ticket to a game. The players even sign after skate sessions which is awesome for kids to be able to meet and interact with some of their idols. Keep up to date with their Facebook page for class changes, skating schedules and preds practice information.

The Centennial Sportsplex is a huge athletic facility near Centennial Park. You can buy memberships to use all the facilities, but I always go to the Sportsplex for their public ice skating on one of the ice rinks. There is also an intramural ice hockey team that practices here, and the Nashville Predators hockey team also uses the facility for training. The ice rink has rental skates, or you can bring your own skates to use on the ice. The admission fee is cheap only $6 to skate all evening long. And the skate rental is another $2 on top of that. It is a great place for an evening of cheap wholesome fun. So if you've had one too many nights at the bar and want to relive some youthful excitement, go ice skating! The rink can be pretty busy on weekend nights, but it is a lot of fun to go to an open skate in the arena during the summer months. You can get cooled off and do something really different. Watch out for the legions of teenagers all ogling each other. Otherwise this place is a lot of fun.

Pleasantly surprised how nice the facility was. The weight equipment is ideal for a beginner and not so much for experienced lifters

You can also get free karate lessons and such if you happen to live in the complex. Honestly, I wouldn't pay for this place were I not in residence. Amongst the treadmills that sometimes work, the other equipment that is older than dirt, and the single television that's usually stuck on Barney or some other PBS children's show, it's just not worth the money. I know there are other gyms in the area, so unless your game is tennis, I'd say shop around.

If I had kids or any other friends wanting to learn the sport I can only recommend Richard. This club also has a great community of tennis players that comes out to hit and they welcome newcomers!!! This includes at least one wheel chair player, kids of all ages and backgrounds, and adults - all one happy family (and growing). A sincere thanks and a solid recommendation.

The facilities are clean, people are driven, and you feel in good company working on your fitness. I enjoyed finding a rhythm with like-minded people, and the option for some coffee at the end after a ridiculously early workout session. The workers were always polite and even helped me with a few issues here and there faced by typical gym-goers: a lost locked, a door dinged in the parking lot, etc. Everyone was extremely understanding and thoughtful in the midst of my in-the-moment distress. The facilities here are extensive: a whole power rack and weight room on the base floor, a more cardio-focused room on the second, another "express gym" area on the second, and even an outdoor free and power rack area outside with punching bags on turf. I really love that they have pretty new, innovative machinery implementing relatively immersive AI or gamnified exercise. It's both exciting and fun, especially when you're not the biggest fan of redundant activity like me. I love seeing all people of different generations and backgrounds workout out here. It makes me feel like everyone belongs.

Sorority Sister and I saw a legendary 80s hair band there, too, who also put on a great show! It was funny because the drummer, who was dressed in his best 80s leotard tights, and 80s t-shirt, bounded out of (his and our) hotel building running late for the show! He jumped into a cab and went around the corner straight to Bridgestone. As a special surprise I bought my 8-year-old a week at camp this summer with her cousin. We're not…read moreregular attenders. Backstory: Sunday night she spiked a high fever suddenly so we didn't take her Monday. Bummer. But when her fevers continued to remain above 102 and she had GI issues as well, we were able to get her an appointment at her pediatrician on Wednesday morning. It turned out she had strep and another unidentified virus....which means 24 hrs of antibiotics before she's not contagious. We got a doctors letter verifying she absolutely couldn't attend camp until Friday. All that to say, Boost will absolutely NOT work with you!!! If your child gets sick (which often happens to kids) you are completely out all your money and will have a very sad child. Buyers beware!!! Their policy is completely inflexible - no exceptions!!!! My daughter got to go to camp for 1 day for $350, and that day was just a field trip to see a movie. They had a million excuses why they wouldn't work with us...even when I offered to pack my daughters lunch so she wouldn't partake in camp food and sit out of special guest visits so she wouldn't cost them more money. They said they're always full and couldn't add her in the next week (they actually had 30 spots open). A few quotes from the director when she finally responded by email after I called multiple days in a row. "First, let me say that I am so sorry that you have a sick kiddo and I pray for quick and complete healing." "As a mother of 3, I know how unpredictable and unavoidable illness can definitely be and how when it does rear its ugly head it can be at the most inconvenient times." "Customers are paying to secure their spot in camp similar to buying concert tickets. Unfortunately, there are risks that come with both of those purchases, as there are unexpected events that could possibly occur that sometimes cause us to have to miss out on things we paid for in advance." "We are not in the business of upsetting customers and honestly quite the opposite. Customer service is a priority of mine and I truly do aim to treat all of my customers the way that I love to be treated." Wow!!! Comparing a small town community program to a large venue concert (where people also have the option to resell their tickets if extenuating circumstances occur) doesn't make sense. Suggesting that customer service is a priority but being completely unwilling to work with one family experiencing an unfortunate illness is ridiculous. And offering "thoughts and prayers" and empathy as a fellow mother is demeaning at best when you actually aren't willing to be compassionate. Brynn Crady avoided my calls, offered zero customer service and acted like she could relate. In my 12 years of parenting, I've NEVER experienced a company so money driven with lack of customer care. I WILL NEVER send my child there or recommend this place. The coaches may be nice and the kids may enjoy the camp but the leadership ruined it! If you have $300 to risk, go ahead and sign your kid up and hope you don't experience a situation like I did.

One of my favorite parts is the walk across the pedestrian bridges from Lower Broadway and downtown. It's a uniquely Nashville experience, especially when thousands of fans are all heading the same direction. The stadium itself isn't fancy by modern standards, but it remains functional, accessible, and enjoyable. I've had good experiences here, and that's ultimately what matters. A little older.
