The park is still open, but none of the basketball courts, jungles gyms, or tennis courts are able to be used. They're either locked up or wrapped in caution tape. If you're looking to get out of the house, get some fresh air, and stretch your legs the walking path is perfect for that. I recommend getting here early in the morning or late evening to avoid coming in contact with anyone, remember to social distance! Fun fact, if you walk the trail paved trail twice, which includes the trail around the police sub-station, it's just over three miles! read more

A lovely park with beautiful, endless climbing equipment for the kids in the center. If you're just wanting to go for a nice walk or jog, it's also nice. The flowers and little stream are lovely and the signs along the trail are a great prompt for those with toddler-aged kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, or kids being cared for. I've never seen those at any other park. I also appreciated the area for Veterans & I might've seen BigFoot! What a fun, engaging park everywhere you look! A fun, exciting park for little ones, as well as grown ups. read more

Quite possibly the best children's park I've been to. There are multiple slides, a splash park, three or four playground sections with duplicate (but different,) equipment. The only problems I have with it are there is little shade on the equipment. No shade for most of the stuff, ends up baking you if it's hot. The only park I've been to where the kids both wanted to leave 20 minutes in because it was too dang hot (it's been hotter elsewhere with shade, they survived). Which might not be an issue except somehow I've managed to go the last four times the splash pad was closed. Womp womp. Luckily there's a Sonic nearby to ice the kids up with. read more

My son absolutely loves playing in the playground and Ava's splash pad. Both are top notch and the splash pad has 2 active life guards provided by the city 7 days a week. The park also offer a community center, multiple pavilions, a gazebo, tennis courts, football field, gardening club, and great walking trails. read more

What an incredible park. So many climbing options for the kids. A track to run on or let the kids ride on their scooters. Open fields to run in. A garden to view. Swing sets. Slides were incredible and my son had a blast going down them over and over. Plenty of parking available. There is also an incredible splash pad for the summer time. Even a workout section and a covered seating area. I could not have asked for more. We spent a few hours there letting our little one play and he did not want to leave! read more

Basketball court, tennis court, volleyball, skate park, and indoor recreation center. Walking trails with posted signs with activity ideas for children while walking. I've been to parks all over Nashville, and it's possible that none of them are individually as good Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet. Sure, if taken together, the Nashville Parks offer a whole lot more, but they're spread across a county. Charlie Daniels has all the neat features of Centennial Park without the problems. It feels like a community feature rather than a destination point for tourists, it has a football field for the high school. It has an indoor community center with an indoor basketball arena. But those are there for organized activity. For the family, there's an excellent "Planet Playground" for both under three and larger children. They have several tennis courts, and wisely turned a couple of them into a small skate park. They have an outdoor basketball court, a sand volleyball court, several covered pavilions with picnic tables and grills, and an outdoor stage "amphitheater." Every now and then, you find something new, like the pirate ship or the jogging track. There's a lot to like about the park, and if your family is there and you need to kill an hour, it's a nice place to go. read more

Hailing from Mt. Juliet, I must give Charlie Daniels Park its deserved props. I really love this park for having such a variety of things to do here. There is a community center with an indoor basketball court and some other things, but I always used their two sand valleyball courts to play badminton. The playground is also nice in size (I'll play there at night when no one's looking), and there's plenty of green area for anything else you might like to do. Even though it's only park in Mt. Juliet, it's never been extraordinarily crowded. read more

Small local park which offers some create options for families to either spend all day, or just a quick visit. The newly constructed jungle gym is excellent and has brought many more families to the area, plus the new water park has turned out to be a smart addition. There's a number of classes offered inside of the park's main building and I often see family reunions and parties being held on the grounds at one of the several pavilions. Tennis lessons, karate lessons and personal training is all offered there, either by private parties or park sponsored I'm not sure. I often see yoga being taught/instructed early in the mornings when the weather is good. I often use the track around the park, and the new addition going in front of the police station is welcomed as the loop is now a mile long. Overall great small town park offering lots of options for individuals and families. read more

Love, love, love this place. This is where I get my game on along with all my friends. There is a solid outdoor basketball court and an indoor gym if you are a baller. There is also a track around the whole complex, a small gated skate park is a cool new addition, a 4 court tennis court, 2 sand volley ball courts and a large wooden playground along with a new addition small playground for younger children. My personal favorite part of the park is the large, open, flat space between the tennis court and wooden playground that me and my friends use to play anything from foot ball, to soccer, to ultimate Frisbee! If you enjoy the great outdoors and sports or just want to chill with the fam and kids this is surely the destination for you. read more

This is a nice little park in MJ. I remember when it was nothing more than some football fields for the kids football league. It has grown a lot since then. There's a childrens playground, small skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts inside & outside. The community center is a decent size and always has activities scheduled so there is no lack of things to do when visiting. They also have an outdoor stage where they hold concerts every now and then. It's just a nice little park with something for the whole family. Go check it out if you haven't. I love Charlie Daniels Park. Not only is the park wonderful, and appropriate for children of all ages- they have a walking trail- volleyball courts- tennis courts- a splash pad- a community Rec center- and a little skate park too! The park is under 24-hour video surveillance and located next to the mount Juliet police department. read more

Plenty of parking. Has a skate park, two types of playgrounds, basketball hoops, volleyball nets, water area for kids to run through. It also has a community center building. There is also a walking path for some exercise. The playground and skate park look to only be good for elementary or toddler aged children. read more

I really enjoyed this park. It has a smaller toddler area where 3 can play while I sit and watch. He really loved the Spider web climbing wall in the Planet Playhouse larger area. & I enjoyed the swinging bars :) fun for 3 & 27, apparently. It was a great alternative to the always busy Lebanon park. read more

My 2.5 year old loves this park. I liked it better before the renovation though. There doesn't seem to be as much equipment now.

This is one of the reasons we moved to Mount Juliet. We always take our dogs and walk around the park, then stop and let the kids play on the playground for a while. There is something for everyone. Splashpad, Skatepark, Basketball, Volleyball, Playground, Soccer/Football fields, plenty of benches in the shade to relax. The playground is a little dated, but they are slowly renovating it. Also, another reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, the splashpad hours are a little lacking. They built this awesome splashpad but only open it for a short time during the day. read more

Charlie Daniels Park is great! A lot to do with your kids. Even for adults can enjoy the park by playing Tennis, Volleyball, and Basketball. And if you like to skateboard then you can go skateboarding. The park is clean and big. read more
