As I first visited they were renovating the exterior and landscape refresh and I found that to be so important. Residents get to look out their windows and enjoy something fresh and beautiful to look at. Other first impressions were multiple air filtration systems outside the doors of every room. Not sure if that was a 'leftover' from COVID kind of thing or what - but I liked it. Shared rooms were small and good to know is only two visitors at a time. It's hard to imagine it but the reason is purely for function. Placing 3 chairs around I think would be very difficult to navigate anymore. Luckily for those who might not like shared rooms - singles are available. If you've been saving money all your life and here - this might just be the time to spend a little extra if you don't like people around. My friend's neighbor was a pleasant person - and that's what I've found going to these types of places - its not bad to have another nearby... If your friend or family member is here its your job to visit. People make up excuses and there really is no excuse. I was able to slip in 30 minutes before closing after work and anybody can do that. I think visitors are an important part of recovery. You can't visit your friend or your mom? Just keep the excuses to yourself I don't want to hear it.

He's solely dependent on assistance at all times! **He was a patient for 11 days and was bathed ONCE!! (Shower days were Tuesday & Friday's) and was given one on **They FALSIFIED paperwork stating that someone bathed him in actuality his Physical Therapist was the one who gave him a bath. **No one came to look at his bandages to see if they were soiled, leaking or falling off for 11 days! **He's steady pressing the button for assistance to use the bathroom and no one comes!. *He's asking for help and he gets audacious response of, "that's not my job!" (By the CNA) *He's pulling the cord for assistance from an empty bed *He's wearing depends (that the family has brought him) because he doesn't trust the CNA's will come in a timely manner to assist him to the bathroom. *He'd asked the CNA to bring him a bucket with warm water & soap to wash up and the CNA's response is, "It's too late, you'll disturb your neighbors!" *** The physician assistant, NICK COLLINS IS RUDE, he absolutely has NO BEDSIDE MANNERS!! He's talks at you and not to you, he talks down to you, makes empty threats, he assumes EVERYONE is on Medical, the tone he speaks to you is very undermining. Needless to say, I'm VERY displeased Very about the series of events that has happened since my Uncle has been a patient here. 3/5 Stars (Could Have Been Higher)…read more I was 40 years old when I stayed here, and by far the youngest resident. My roommate was close to 80 years old, which made for an interesting experience. Despite our age difference, I came to respect and admire him. What kept this from being a 5-star review was the food, the uncomfortable bed, the very small shared rooms, my television being much smaller and positioned much closer to the bed than my roommate's, and the nighttime noise. Some residents struggled with mental health or other conditions, and there were nights when patients would yell, making it difficult to sleep. I ended up staying for eight nights and nine days. Looking back, I believe another two or three days would have benefited my recovery, as I was still struggling with significant pain and difficulty walking when I was discharged. Although my insurance covered my stay, I felt that my Kaiser representative was too eager to move me out and didn't fully appreciate the severity of my condition. Unfortunately, that reminded me of my initial visit just days before I ended up in the emergency room, when I was only prescribed ibuprofen despite the pain I was experiencing. Some fellow patients encouraged me to appeal the discharge decision and fight to stay longer. However, I was physically exhausted, emotionally vulnerable, and simply didn't have the strength to advocate for myself at that point. In hindsight, I think a more formal discharge meeting that included me in the decision-making process would have been the better approach. Even if the outcome had been the same, I would have felt that my concerns and readiness to leave had been fully considered. That said, there were many positives. The staff, for the most part, were attentive, compassionate, and genuinely cared about the patients. I did have one negative experience with a staff member who fit every stereotype of someone who shouldn't be working in healthcare. I emailed the administrator about my concerns, and to his credit, he came to my bedside almost immediately, shook my hand, listened to me respectfully, and removed that employee from my wing. I appreciated how seriously he took my concerns. The physical therapy team was outstanding. They welcomed me from day one, even though I was hesitant to socialize because I was overwhelmed, heavily medicated, and had just been discharged from the emergency room. Their encouragement and professionalism played a huge role in my recovery. I was admitted after my back suddenly gave out to the point where I couldn't walk. At my lowest moment, I truly feared I might never walk again. Being surrounded by others who were also fighting their own battles gave me perspective and gratitude. I realized how fortunate I was to have the insurance and benefits that allowed me to recover in a facility like this. The location was also convenient, making it easy for family, friends, and coworkers to visit me during a difficult time. While there are definitely areas that need improvement, especially the food, sleeping accommodations, and room setup, the caring staff, excellent therapy team, and responsive administration made a difficult chapter in my life much more manageable.

The facility itself is nestled in the general neighborhood. Parking is simple as they have a large lot in the back. Upon entry, the area it bright and clean. Each room is alway clean and the building is properly staffed. In fact the staffing to resident ratio seem great. There is always someone to ask for help when necessary. Meals are complete and has a good variety. Caretaking of the patients is on schedule and the staff are friendly. The level of engagement with the patient is also great. My dad's mental state is diminished, but the stuff still finds ways to interact with him. I often visit my dad and find that he is in a group activity that ranges from bingo, karaoke, and watching movies to name a few. I want to give a shout out to our case manager, Cynthia, who is always supportive and respond quickly to questions that we may have. Also to my dads physical therapist, Dominic, who always have a friendly demeanor, understanding tone, supportive nature, and most importantly patience to try and get my dad back to baseline. We also sincerely appreciate all the care and attentiveness to all the nurses that provides care to my dad around-the-clock. I know the staff is always watching because I get a phone call every my dad falls. I highly recommend St. Francis to anyone who needs to seek out a care facility.

Every staff member-- the doctor, nurses, CNAs, physical therapists and office staffs, has shown genuine care and professionalism. The doctor checks on him several times a week. The nurses and CNAs are attentive and gentle. They always treat him with kindness and respect. The dietitian and kitchen staff work tother to thoughtfully adjust the meal plan to meet my dad's special needs. Physical therapists are excellent. They approach each session with patience, encouragement, and deep expertise, helping my father regain strength step by step. Most importantly, the entire staff -- from management to clinical teams -- is caring and easy to communicate with. We are truly grateful for the compassion and teamwork here. The therapy team was especially impressive--motivating, knowledgeable, and focused on real progress while still being compassionate. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and communication with staff and case management was smooth and transparent throughout the stay. When I finally reached her case worker I was told to call her social security worker, Carol. Carol told me to meet with her physical therapy team and nurses to understand her care and discharge plan. After the PT team did not show for the appointment, I rescheduled. They met and said that Carol was managing the discharge plan. The. I was told to speak with a nurse. I was constantly sent from one person to another. They seemed very disorganized and I couldn't accomplish anything over the phone and when I was onsite, it still took forever to find someone that knew what was going on. As for care, she contracted pneumonia while there. They tried to discharge her with it, which her insurance objected to. They told me that she would be going home in 48hrs. Then she died. While the EMT's were trying to revive my mother, a nurse from the facility called and asked me what I wanted to do with her body. They didn't bother getting this info upfront and I was forced to send her to their default mortuary. When I called to ask to collect her belongings they told me they had to find them. They may have been thrown out. She was 72. Walked 8 miles every day. This is not a place to send loved ones.

This facility needs to be permanently closed. My dad was a patient here for 8 months, during those 8 months he was sent out to the hospital 9 times. He had encountered tremendous bedsores all over his body, and lack of proper nutrition. After 8 months and the hospital filing reports on the facility, due to the evidence based, I removed my father and he is currently bedsore free, and healthy. The staff here has no type of compassion or care for their job, or education for the positions and roles they stand. I hope my Review will not allow anyone to place a loved one here! You will regret it later!
