I made a few calls to PT offices where no one picked up or they informed me the next appointment would be over a month from now. I needed a visit as soon as I could. I called Ascend PT and Gina immediately picked up, listened to my situation and quickly booked me in to be seen within a few days. Gina is very professional and personable. She made me feel very comfortable right away and gave top quality care. I felt immediate relief after she worked on my neck and gave me exercises to work on. At this point, I have seen so many physical therapists throughout my life and Gina is quite competent. Substantial progress was made each visit and I would leave visits feeling refreshed and pain free. Meanwhile, at other places, I would be in pain for several months before seeing any progress. After seeing Gina for a month and a half, I was 90% recovered and after three months, I feel so refreshed and able to do all my regular exercise routines and activities. I truly wish I had found Gina much earlier and will solely be seeking her guidance when I have future injuries~

But their major weak spot is getting your foot in the door since the phone is often not answered and sometimes my voicemails are not returned. It's frustrating right at this time since I was reevaluated and then no one scheduled me, nor returned my phone calls, so now a month has passed and I must be reevaluated again a month from now due to no openings. It's difficult when one is in pain. I would give 4 stars but this last incident is pretty awful where I'd like to give 2, but I hear they are having some turnover so I know it's probably challenging for them also. My son is a DPT and used to manage facilities like this, so I know it can be difficult, but they still need to strive toward excellence.

The front desk/administrative side of this physical therapy office is extremely disappointing…read more Paperwork has been mishandled multiple times, insurance processing has been a mess, and getting anyone to answer the phone is nearly impossible. We've had to chase down basic information that should have been handled proactively. Once you finally get past the administrative chaos, the actual physical therapists are excellent--knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the poor service at the front desk seriously undermines the experience and creates unnecessary stress. Great PTs, but the administrative service is completely broken and needs major improvement.

Maybe they are fine for post surgical pt…read morefor a few sessions for younger people, but absolutely do no go there if you are older, especially on Medicare. My mother used to go there twice a week and their work on her pain literally kept her alive. But last December, they announced that their OOP was increasing for 2026 from $9,000 a year to $22,000 a year starting January 2026. I was there when my mother was told of the major price increase. She knew she didn't have over $20,000 a year for pt. She got scared and upset, started crying and asked me to take her home. Because she was upset, they kicked her out. The Hayward clinic has treated both patients and emoloyees like that in the past. My husband is a lawyer and works with other injury lawyers. It appears this practice engages in Medicare fraud. My mother's pain got so bad this year, she just died. That tells us all that their practitioners are the best. They kept her alive. They filed a few claims with Medicare- listing services my mother never received - but within 6 weeks, it would have cost $220 for 25 minutes. Medicare is aware, but so far hasn't done anything about it. We do not know if Pacific has the same scheme with other insurance companies. Again, their practitioners are the best. But you pay a lot for ongoing chronic problems. We will always believe my mother would still be alive if she had the $22,000 annually. Lawyers are looking into their 2027 pricing, but no one will tell them or even take phone calls. So a few post surgical sessions -- go for it. Practitioners are good. Anyone with chronic problems stay far far away.

He's solely dependent on assistance at all times! **He was a patient for 11 days and was bathed ONCE!! (Shower days were Tuesday & Friday's) and was given one on **They FALSIFIED paperwork stating that someone bathed him in actuality his Physical Therapist was the one who gave him a bath. **No one came to look at his bandages to see if they were soiled, leaking or falling off for 11 days! **He's steady pressing the button for assistance to use the bathroom and no one comes!. *He's asking for help and he gets audacious response of, "that's not my job!" (By the CNA) *He's pulling the cord for assistance from an empty bed *He's wearing depends (that the family has brought him) because he doesn't trust the CNA's will come in a timely manner to assist him to the bathroom. *He'd asked the CNA to bring him a bucket with warm water & soap to wash up and the CNA's response is, "It's too late, you'll disturb your neighbors!" *** The physician assistant, NICK COLLINS IS RUDE, he absolutely has NO BEDSIDE MANNERS!! He's talks at you and not to you, he talks down to you, makes empty threats, he assumes EVERYONE is on Medical, the tone he speaks to you is very undermining. Needless to say, I'm VERY displeased Very about the series of events that has happened since my Uncle has been a patient here. My uncle broke his femur bone, so needless to say he's very dependent on staffing until he's completely rehabilitated. He's been a patient for 16 days (as of today)

The food was decent the first few weeks, even showing some creativity. Over the last four weeks it has rapidly declined, in pallatability, quantity and nutritional content. The meals are lacking in protein and fresh fruit and vegetables. The meals depend on a lot of frozen prepared items, like frozen breaded fish, and primarily canned vegetables and fruits. Sandwiches made with packaged lunch meats and salty cheeses are substituted if you decline a meal. You're absolutely required to take vitamin supplements. Meals are high in sugar, salt, carbohydrates with little regard for personal needs or preferences. They promote themselves as giving excellent wound care, but are reluctant to purchase wound care items that might seem too pricey. I've been trying for two weeks to get a medicated numbing spray to ease in the painful procedure I'm put through daily. The facility had a recent change in Administrators, and while the previous administrator was largely ineffective in making a lot of changes, under the current administrator of about a month, there seem to be fewer CNAs on duty, more CNAs and nurses working double shifts and not up to their usual efficiency, and poorer quality meals. The current administrator hasn't even made the time to introduce himself to the residents leaving one to wonder if he's leveraging patient care against budget constraints. Or maybe he's just not interested. Don't leave your loved one here unless you're prepared to advocate and participate in their care.

Lastly, when they were doing my exam, they gave no guidance on what they wanted me to do and got annoyed when I wasn't doing the move they wanted.
