I worked with Nico briefly, and was super excited to try online coaching (which I had never done…read morebefore). Nico was super nice in the beginning, but as time passed, he started being pretty rude and condescending in his replies to me. I'm sure coaches are constantly being tugged at, but I don't feel like my questions were stupid or out of line, especially for a newbie. After about 6 weeks, I decided I didn't feel comfortable proceeding with a person who didn't welcome my communication.

I've worked with Nico across multiple sessions and this last one was by far the most challenging --…read moreillness, an injury, and a job loss all hit at once. Despite everything, Nico kept me grounded, positive, and focused. Workouts, macros, water, protein, protein, PROTEIN! He has a way of keeping you in the game even when life is throwing everything at you. This session had a tighter timeline -- I was prepping for a very special family event -- so the approach was more of a sprint compared to the gradual builds we've done in past sessions. Different, but it worked. And the real test? Traveling right before the event -- no gym, couldn't track macros, water intake was a mess -- and I still felt AMAZING. I showed up feeling like the best version of myself. That is 100% because of Nico. He is more than a trainer. He's a coach, a cheerleader, and an inspiration. The tools and mindset he's given me go beyond any single goal because at the end of the day, this is a lifestyle. If you're looking for someone who will truly invest in YOU -- not just your workouts -- Nico is your person.

Her deep, science-based understanding of physiology, especially when it comes to female and athletic bodies, is truly unmatched. She meets you exactly where you are, tuning in to your personal needs while offering practical, meaningful guidance that leads to real change. What sets Shanti apart is her whole-body, natural approach. She's not someone who pushes a Western medicine fix for everything--she's incredibly attuned to the body's natural rhythms and honors the simplicity and wisdom of how we're built. She challenges me in the best ways, always pushing me toward actual growth while being emotionally supportive and truly caring along the way. And honestly--her approach works. I've been dealing with insulin resistance and hormonal shifts, and in just two months I've experienced a major, positive transformation in how I feel and how my body functions. I first worked with Shanti before my wedding and reached my goals, and came back to her when I decided to come off birth control. The results have been even more powerful the second time around. If you're ready to take real action and make sustainable, lifelong changes for your health, I can't recommend Shanti enough. She's the real deal

I had a pretty bad high ankle sprain back in January 2025 from rolling it on a teammates foot, no…read morefractures found in X-ray--I was non-weight bearing, on a knee scooter, into a boot, and progressed to walking into a shoe with minimal guidance from friends who are PTs. I was back to exercising regularly and playing volleyball in March. It wasn't until May that I found out I had a hairline fracture and bone bruising through MRI because I was still complaining about pain. I was told by the orthopedic doctors and a podiatrist that I needed surgery for my ankle, but I ultimately didn't want to do that. I didn't like any of the PTs that were in my area and in-network. I found Dr. Jay by chance--a simple yelp search and I found out he was walking distance from me. I dm'd him, back in December, my history and asked if surgery was the only way to go, and he responded pretty quickly that he's had the same injury and was able to get back into sports without going under the knife. After talking to Dr. Jay via zoom, I was convinced that he was gonna be the one to help me regain strength and mobility in my ankle. Dr. Jay is very knowledgeable, he'll breakdown the anatomy and physiology so you know what's happening with your body, and he'll teach you the right mechanics for the exercises. He also went over types of shoes I should be wearing during different types of exercises which is important because the shoes I wore were affecting my ankle and foot mobility. Dr. Jay doesn't just treat the symptom, he treats you as a whole because everything in the end is all connected. Dr. Jay will create workout routines that are suitable for you, and will tailor it based on your needs, such as what gym you go to/equipment you have. Send videos and updates on your workouts/daily activities so you can get his feedback, and he can tweak exercises/give you tips on what you can do in those exercises to reduce pain. One thing I needed to learn was that I didn't have the same capacity for load as I did pre-injury, and that I needed to not overdo it on exercises even though, mentally, I felt like I could do more. "When strain exceeds capacity, leads to negative adaptations. When strain stays right below capacity, positive adaptations. Learn through mistakes, and learn quickly on how to find the right amount." I'm very hard on myself, especially when training declined due to illness, holidays, vacations, and or pain (due to overloading/wearing too rigid shoes). Dr. Jay stayed positive and continued to encourage me. He reminded me that we are not perfect, and it is okay to take breaks. Dr. Jay's program gave me the structure, guidance, and motivation I needed to get back to running and jumping without fear. He's helped me gain the knowledge and confidence to get back on the court. Will definitely recommend Dr. Jay to anyone I know who's dealing with chronic pain and willing to put in the work!

Despite shifting to lower impact workouts for months and having weekly acupuncture appointments I kept reinjuirng it. It was keeping me from my favorite activity, surfing, and I was feeling mentally and physically frustrated. After my first session with Dr. Jay, I learned I had weak lats (common for those of us with desk jobs) and he gave me a mobility routine that quickly lessened my discomfort. After starting my custom strength training routine the pain and annoyance went away entirely and I was back surfing about 5 weeks later. Dr. Jay did an amazing job of not only tailoring a routine to my needs and the activities I love, but he explained why each one was helpful for my body and my goals. He was always available if I had any questions or if I needed him to give me a more detailed breakdowns of the exercises. He was also great about education; if my shoulder or neck is feeling pinchy or off, I now know exactly what I need to do to feel better. You just have to be ready to put in the work! I am about to hit my mid-thirties and I am grateful to have a go to strength training routine. I feel better than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Jay if you're coming back from an injury or looking for a professional to help you reach your fitness goals. My only regret is not contacting him sooner!

Honey was having some physical problems too and so was I. Although I knew she was coming out of her medical issues, there were things that still seemed a bit off. I had gotten a stellar recommendation from a good friend and got in touch with Kate. I believe in animal communication and I believe in the power of Reiki. I know Reiki can help "unplug" some things physically because I have had it done personally. Kate spent hours with her! I learned things about Honey I never would have guessed. When it was over, Kate gave me her synopsis. One things she said was: "I don't know what this means, but she misses her red dress." I was ~ASTOUNDED!~ I said "I'll show you." I brought out a sparkly red tutu I bought for Honey a couple years before. I put it on her in front of Kate and it was a beautiful thing. If a horse could smile, she would have. Kate also mentioned that her lunch was bothering her teeth a little so we're soaking her pellets and oats longer. Honey also said she needed a blanket at night as she gets cold. Is all of this scientifically provable? No, but either is being in love. I'm going to upload a picture of my big girl with her tutu on and also with Kate. You don't need to know anything about horse to understand you are looking at a happy, happy horse. Next time? I"m getting a session for myself!
