There are no words to describe the transformative healing I've had this year. The following is my best effort to convey the power of what I've experienced since working with Jane. She is an incredible coach, teacher, and healer (among many things) who I have learned so much from. Last year, I stepped into the unknown. Not an unfamiliar place for me but the circumstances were (of course) different. I had just ended a 10 year relationship, was in between jobs, needing to move, and I realized that somewhere along the way I lost myself. Or rather, I forgot who I was. I was starting to identify that my soul's purpose was (is) to be a healer, but had no idea what to do with that or where to go. From the moment I met Jane, I knew her shamanic training program, Luminous Path, was where I needed to be. I wanted her healing as well as her teachings. And while she has provided much healing for me, she also taught me how to heal myself! On top of that, the healing takes place within a tribe of beautiful and strong women wrapped in a safe and secure container that we are all taught to create. Jane taught me how to share openly and vulnerably, how to stand tall and take up space, how to change my false lifehood story, how to let go of limiting beliefs and step into who I really am. I have shifted from codependency to co-commitment both within my relationship with myself as well as with others. I have shifted from feeling insecure to secure, again both within my relationship with myself as well as with others. I found confidence, clarity, peace, and joy. I found myself. I remembered. As the end of the year approached I found myself ready for more. I wanted more healing, more teachings, and more space to integrate it all. Luckily, Luminous Path is a 1-3 year program. Another thing I am grateful for as I am now in year 2! A huge THANK YOU to Jane. I am beyond grateful to know you, to have received your offerings, and to learn these ways from you. Jane Sanguinetti is a truly remarkable human. She has been a beloved friend since we were in our teens and I have been studying Intentional Creativity with her for more than two years. Through the medium of paint and canvas, I have worked through trauma and achieved soul-healing to a point where my inner and outer worlds have been transformed remarkably for the better by the deep healing Jane and IC have to offer. Jane is probably the best massage practitioner in this area. I previously had back surgery and post surgical recovery was going nowhere. I could hardly walk without tremendous pain. I tried everything without any real success. When I found Jane, things changed for the better. I had numerous sessions with her and felt tremendously better. She probably saved my ability to walk. She is extremely talented in the art of massage and really puts a lot of effort in. If you have a condition that massage could benefit, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with her. Jane is amazing! Getting a massage from her has been one of my highlights for the year. What more can one ask for? She can be super strong (if that's what you're into, the deep tissue) or gentle, in-tune, intuitive and understands the spirit not just the body. Look, I have had over 100 massages in my life by many practitioners. Jane is in the top 5 people. I LOVE getting massages from Jane. She is INCREDIBLE. The space is beautiful, and feels soooo sacred. I always feel like I'm walking into a visit with the Divine when I go in for a massage. She is strong and wonderful as a massage therapist on the purely physical realm, but also, she really does move into a sacred space in the work she does. I find myself drifting into deep healing.... My energy is completely transformed after work with her. Whenever I feel out or sorts, disconnected, overwhelmed or that I just need to really get in touch with myself, come home.... I have been going to Joy of Being for quite some time. I have a number of physical issues that I need regular massage for. Jane is awesome. She works hard enough in to get to the nitty gritty of it all. It is difficult to find any masseuse that will do the seriously deep tissue work, let alone for extended periods of time. She knows the muscles and where there need help. She has helped me physically in a big way. I would be seriously debilitated without her skills. I walked into the Joy of Being doors for the first time today and received a healing session with Jane (she is the owner). The Joy of Being is a safe, sweet space and Jane is a truly amazing healer. This will be a regular community space for me from now on. As other reviewers have mentioned, the Joy of Being certainly does live up to its name. At the end of my session I had a smile on my face and I left feeling happier than I have in a long time. There was a bounce in my step and life force running through me. I love Shelley's Core class! I needed a little harder workout to build strength from the inside out- her class was exactly what I've been craving. I am really careful with my body and she was respectful and encouraging- challenging me just the right amount. Great studio! Tried a few different classes with Dayna Holli and loved them all.. It was so relaxing, didn't want to get up and go home! I liked how we tried some inversions and used props to go deeper into poses and explored other options. All the classes I went to were small and intimate, and there were blocks, straps, blankets and mats to use. I personally like a 90 minute yoga class, which they offer several of. No attitude here, very warm and welcoming. read more

I've never been one for a long-term regular exercise program, but a year and a half of chronic pain directed me towards taking better care of myself. Back in January of this year I started taking yoga at Joy of Being when my sister suggested it. Jessica Archer teaches an Anusara yoga class on Monday/Wednesday and now I'm up to both classes a week (had started slow with just Wednesdays). When I don't go, I miss it and my mind and body feel less centered during the rest of my week. Jessica is a fabulous yogi and makes her classes soothing, informative and challenging at the same time. Not that I want to give up my mat space with more people coming to class (lol) but she really is a fantastic teacher. read more

I booked a private session with Naia after attending the Monday 9 am yoga and sound healing class with her last week. I've been so maxed out with work and family and haven't taken a class in over two months. I'm embarrased at how out of shape I feel, but felt secure in very capable hands. She addressed my special joint issues which have kept me away from yoga for a long time. The sound element of her work is hard to describe, but it is very energizing and its great to have a new spark in my practice and a new tool for creating mind body synergy. This is a very deep yoga, gentle yet challenging, energizing, and the perfect amount of sore the next day. My husband surprised me with a massage here for our one year wedding anniversary! I can't think of a better surprise. :) Jane, our massage therapist, is all around amazing! She gave me and then my husband, amazing massages. She tailored our massages to fit our individual needs - a nursing mother who carries around a baby, and a busy office worker who stays at a computer typing all day. I had my very first ever massage here and I was very, very impressed. I have since tried other places since that offered discounts or special deals, and nothing compares. Jane is amazingly intuitive and very skilled. The studio is very peaceful and welcoming and Jane made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She was very focused, and can read your body extremely well. She will find your problem spots and give you exactly what you need! Her fees are reasonable and her skill is well worth the money. The yoga studio is also lovely and the yoga instruction is meditative and introspective. The classes I've taken have left me feeling happy and peaceful. Jane is the best massage person I have found, and I have visited so many I've lost count. She can do deep tissue work for 90 minutes as hard as I can stand which is a first for me. I have issues with my neck/back and had rotator cuff surgery 7 months ago. Jane is playing a huge part in my recovery, and healed (worked out) a spot under my armpit that has been causing painful issues for over two years. She knows exactly how to help right where it matters without me having to say anything. Unlike many other massage places where I have left feeling like more work was needed - 90 minutes with Jane and its 100% satisfaction and worth every penny. Needless to say in my experience if you have muscle spasms lower or upper back muscle issues don't hesitate just go see her. My only complaint is insurance should cover deep tissue work after surgery at least some %. I find it helps more than the medications the insurance covers. read more

A tranquil, clean, well-equipped yoga studio in a convenient location for Coastsiders. Klaus Lehrach is a wonderful teacher who helps students adapt yoga movements to fit their individual needs and "do no harm." He also has great stories and a great sense of humor. Jane is hands down the best massage therapist I have been to, and I have been to A LOT of massage therapists. I'm pregnant and she was able to give me a deep massage, with warming stones working specifically on areas that have been in chronic pain as well as guiding me and my body in the particular pains and constrictions due to growing belly. Beyond her incredible muscular skelatal expertise, she is also so gifted at moving emotionally stuck energy in the body and skilled cranial sacral work. Basically Jane had me in all aspects of what I needed, and I'm a bit of a complicated case (: Would highly recommend her to anyone. I signed up for a package of ten 1 1/2 hour massage/healing sessions with the owner Jane. As soon as this package is finished, I will sign up for another ten. She is uniquely talented and creates individual treatment programs for each person. She has a very relaxing and healing way of releasing chronically tense muscles. While I highly recommend Jane, I am partly hoping that she remains a secret, so that it won't be too difficult to schedule time with her. read more

Quite possibly the best massage I have ever had - and I've been getting regular massage for almost 10 years. Jane is very intuitive and worked on problem areas that I didn't even mention. Her technique is strong and gentle at the same time - she has a knack for working a spot very deeply, but painlessly. Her studio, Joy of Being, is lovely and the massage room is a little oasis. I had my 2nd ever- and then my 3rd massage from Jane these last couple of weeks and couldn't recommend anyone more. I had been having stress induced pain and was looking for relief. The first massage with her was quite soft and gentle at my request and she definitely produced the relief I was seeking. I have just started going to Joy of Being (probably 2 months now). I started out investigating the yoga classes due to my stress level at the time. I am someone who never knew anything about yoga at all or even knew what it was. I have to say I Iove it totally and I now have a commitment to attend as regularly as possible. I do owe this all to Klaus Lehrach as I began (and still am) taking his basic yoga class. I would highly recommend taking his classes whatever level you are as he as a few. He is sincere, thoughtful, focuses on each individual's level, and most of all is lighthearted and funny, yet still keeps the true feel of the yoga and truly cares about his students. I actually have never posted a review before, but Klaus's teaching and what a difference his yoga classes have made for me, I felt this is the time to post one. By the way, I was experiencing some blood pressure issues and in less than two months, my pressure dropped more than 15 points. I have to say the similar about Jane and her massages. After experiencing the wonderful yoga experiences, I ventured on to try the massage (in the past, my massages were very few and always limited to the upper back & neck). Jane is wonderful & totally awesome. You can tell she definitely takes each person individually and knows exactly what to do for each and is a healer. She helped me relax and totally take in the massage and taught me it is just as important to let your body receive the massage and not just get it. She is kind and caring and very sweet. I was a hot mess of body and psyche pain. Jane listened and responded with body and mind work that has healed me in ways that years of Kaiser treatment has failed. I am not a mystical person but have still responded to the curative and nurturing therapies Jane has provided.
