This office is located in the Paradise Valley Medical Plaza. We received many text reminders of the upcoming appointment. Very appreciated! There was no check in online so early arrival was definitely needed. There was extensive paperwork so you need to have a good idea of all your meds and amounts taken. We both carry a In Case of Emergency (ICE) paperwork with us which is helpful. Paperwork was still being filled out when they called his name. Vitals were taken by the MA. The doctor came in a moment later. She was very pleasant and listened to the issues. She did a few minor tests and made some recommendations. I wish I had read the reviews for this practice before scheduling, as my experience confirms the low rating is in fact deserved. I scheduled an appointment with them and recieved a voicemail from their new patient coordinator 3 weeks prior confirming the date, time, and location. On the day of the appointment they said I was not on the schedule and refused to make an accommodation, despite this very clearly being an error on their part. The only solution offered was to come back another day, when I had already taken an unpaid day off of work and driven 40 minutes across town. My conversation with the office manager Owen was incredibly frustrating as he continued to gaslight me and say I didn't have an appointment, even though I had the email and voicemails from them confirming that I did. I pleaded with him to understand that I am living with chronic pain, had been waiting months for the appointment, and don't have a flexible work schedule to take more time off, but he was unwilling to budge. The new patient coordinator Lupita (who is very kind!) rescheduled me for a later date. When I got home, I posted a Google review about my experience with the office manager, to make the doctor aware of how poorly this situation was handled. Instead of taking this as an opportunity to make things right, Owen decided to retaliate and cancel my new appointment because I shared my negative experience online, once again gaslighting me and claiming what I wrote wasn't true. Patients who are seeking a neurologist are doing so because they are dealing with serious medical issues. Maliciously compromising a patient's access to care over an ego trip is ethically questionable, at best. I have truly never experienced anything like this, and I hope this review will spare other patients this type of disrespect and dismissal. read more

This is the first neurologist I've had that doesn't think she's a god. Dr. Zuniga has treated me worth nothing but respect. She's also very good at getting preaothorizations for expensive meds for AHCCCCS carriers. The front desk and checkout staff are very nice and competent. We need a second letter from the same doctor's office, confirming my mother's dementia ass my 87 year old mother is experiencing elderly abuse and neglect. How simple is that....she can't even assist with helping us out. Instead, she began to lose her temper and claimed we visited the office under false pretenses. This was today, May 9 2023. From my first appointment with Dr Zuniga, I could tell that for whatever the reason she was very angry. I was very calm and well mannered with her but she acted like I was lying and making up the fact that I was having convulsions at night. She asked me has anyone ever seen this? And I explained to her that yes my ex wife who lived with me for years was the one that made me aware of it about 3 years ago. And then she asked me if I had any proof if I ever went to see a new neurologist and I explained to her that yes in fact I did go and they did observe the convulsions during a sleep study. And she wanted to know write that second where and what the neurologist name was but I didn't have it on me at the moment. So I told her I would give it to her after I find it which I did right after my appointment. During the appointment I let her know about a lot of the symptoms I was having and explain to her that some of them come and go and I don't have them all the time. And I told her that my hands and feet go numb but that they weren't numb that day. But she proceeded to poke at my hands and feet and asked me if I could feel it like she didn't. Just hear what I said. And then proceeded to say well. It looks like they're okay. And then I have a spot in my leg that has been numb for about the last 3 years and she told me it's because I have stuff in my pockets so I stopped putting stuff in my pocket but the numbness is still there. I also explained to her that I had a ton of fatigue and cognitive issues going on as well and she basically blamed every single symptom on my medication. And said that was the reason I was having these symptoms but I explained to her that it's been going on far before I ever started the medication but she proceeded to write down in my medical chart after I corrected her that the symptoms started after I started my medication which was a complete lie and she knew it was because I corrected her and she decided to write it anyhow. So I knew from this first appointment that this doctor was going to be an issue but I didn't understand how much of an issue she would be. So I know it takes months to get an appointment with a specialist and I didn't have months to wait because this was affecting my ability to work. So I just decided I would mind my manners and I would continue with her. I ended up getting an EEG and an Ambulatory EEG done. And an ambulatory EEG is where they hook wires up to you and you have to have them on all day and all night for 48 hours straight. And it's a huge pain in the butt and It's not a very comfortable experience. They even record you the whole time in your bedroom. So this is not a test I wanted to get redone. So I decided to go with a different doctor after I got my test done and I was going to have them look at the results. Well I called the medical records office and they informed me that they need a doctor to request them in order to send them to me. So I had my doctor request them and waited a couple weeks and asked my doctor if she heard back and she said no. So she did another request and then waited another week and then I had my other doctor request them and meanwhile it's been far over a month by now and I'm really frustrated at this point because all I want to do is move on and get to the bottom of my health problem. Well I decided that I would go into the office and try my luck there to see if there was some way I could request them there since they hadn't responded via any of my doctor's requests. And I was basically told by the office staff that they can't do a request there and that I would have to schedule another appointment with Dr. Zuniga. Mind you at our last appointment she falsified my medical records so there's no way on earth that I would have another appointment with her because her lies could affect me for the rest of my life. So I asked them is there any way I can pay for them and have them sent to me that way and they said no. I had recorded the interaction to make sure that I had proof when I did a HIPAA complaint that they were refusing to give my records. And I just want to say to the ladies in the front office that I am really frustrated with you. I am outraged with your boss and her policies and attitude towards patients. I just don't understand why she wants to make it so difficult on the patients. If she has a patient that she does not want to come back there then just let them move on and get their records. But obviously this doctor has no issues with breaking the laws or hurting people physically and emotionally. I could see a doctor like this killing someone on purpose through her care out of spite. Which really makes me afraid for any future patients that go here. This is why I posted the Tik Tok video. I want people to be aware of what they are getting themselves into. I have been seeing Dr. Jeffrey S, Gitt for 15 years or more years as I have Multiple Sclerosis. Currently on an infusion of Ocrevus 2 times annually, which I love. No more injections!!!!! I have met wonderful people in the infusion group, also have invited more into our group. Dr. Gitt is a wonderful, caring physician that knows how to keep my disease from getting worse. I have been in remission for all of these years, no flare ups at all. .Laura M, is wonderful at getting any medication or issues resolved and the infusion nurse, Laura also is compassionate to our issues as well. I went in for issues with memory. Had a very pleasant experience with the neuropsychologist, but Dr. Zuniga ordered a brain MRI which showed 3 old strokes, ischemic disease and a 3mm aneurysm. Her attitude was astonishingly nonchalant. She never even delved into why either of those may have happened to an otherwise healthy 48 year old woman. Nice watching and waiting Dr. Zuniga! "Come back next year" No Dr. will touch an aneurysm that small". 4 1/2 weeks later, it's now bulging out in 3 areas, NOT smooth and has almost TRIPLED in size. I'm having open brain surgery next week at Barrows with knowledgeable Doctors who didn't look at their watches every two minutes like I was bothering them. And your so-called referral to a neurosurgeon? That never came either. I advocated for myself and found Barrows. You'll be hearing from us very soon. read more

I had one appointment with Dr Zuniga mid May and was completely disappointed. I let her know the reason I was at the appointment was that my PT (for a knee surgery)noticed I was having vertigo symptoms and performed a test to evaluate. In Dr Zuniga evaluation she did not do a hall pike test which would show the signs of the vertigo nor did she document that I had a fall that I thought resulted in the vertigo and issues I was having. Dr Zuniga sent me to PT for the vertigo and was told that I should follow up with my regular PCP. I now went for an MRI ordered from my ENT and may have a concussion. How can you trust someone who completely missed the reason, symptoms and lack of follow up to help address the situation. read more

i suffer with chronic migraines and i'm a patient of dr zuniga and have been very impressed by this center and every employee i've interacted with here. dr zuniga spends time during every appointment really listening to my concerns, asking questions, and discussing options in depth with me. i've never felt rushed off like i have with other doctors. she was able to adjust my medication routine to the point that i rarely deal with headaches anymore (i previously would have a headache every day) and i have effective medication for when a migraine does break through. the office staff is always incredibly polite and helpful, even when dealing with complicated insurance issues. multiple times i've had medical assistants go above and beyond to help me out with PAs and make sure i got my medicine. overall a great practice from my experience and i'd recommend dr zuniga and this center for anyone dealing with similar issues as me. read more

They took my insurance and were I had several appointments over two years and every time was a good experience The staff was very pleasant and professional. The infusion nurse was also very professional and compassionate also. She really went out of her way to make PICC insertion painless and a comfortable experience every time. read more

Horrendous. I've been a patient here for 2 years and the service has rapidly deteriorated over the last few months. The front desk does not answer calls-ever. On three separate occasions I have tried calling them and there is no response; their phone system either places you on hold for 10.5 minutes before disconnecting you or you are placed on an indefinite hold (today's was over 50 minutes before I gave up). I needed to reach the office regarding an urgent matter 2 weeks ago and eventually just drove to the office to speak with them in person because I couldn't reach anyone despite repeated calls to them all day. They recently sold/divested their infusion practice to a third party provider (Medix) and that has been its own ordeal; Medix cancelled my most recent infusion (which had been scheduled 4 weeks prior) with less than 24 hours notice because they hadn't received an updated pre-authorization from my insurance. After more than 15 calls to CNS, Medix, and my insurance company I was finally able to get an updated pre-authorization so I could receive my infusion. Each time I talked to CNS and Medix I was given conflicting information regarding the status and what needed to happen. It quickly became apparent that despite CNS and Medix knowing about this transition for months, they hadn't planned in advance to get updated pre-authorization forms from patients' insurers, which is baffling. There was also no communication to patients regarding the transition of infusion services. When I arrived at my (delayed) infusion after a 40 minute drive to the Biltmore location, the office was dark and the door was locked. I called CNS to understand why no one was there and what I should do and, as per usual, there was no answer despite repeated calls. I had to call Medix who had to escalate to their manager to call CNS' manager before someone finally came to the door at CNS and unlocked it so that I could get in for my infusion. As I walked back to the infusion room, I saw several CNS employees literally standing around a desk ignoring the ringing phone. To top it all off, the 7 day delay in my treatment caused a massive MS flare from which I am still recovering. I have nothing positive to say about CNS at this point and I highly recommend anyone considering them to find any other neurology practice instead. read more

This is literally the worst facility I've ever been to in my life and I've been to county ran facilities for friends both here and in California. The office staff could barely explain the paperwork once questioned about it, she claimed it was a formality and that it was my acknowledgment more or less for treatment when it was specifically an insurance form. The nurse was extremely nice and belongs in a way higher class facility. The tall grey hair doctor whose name I wish I could remember right this second, but I will be calling back for was the worst doctor I've ever seen in my life. Im 26, have seen over 100 doctors in the last 10 years and have never, ever met a doctor with the lack of compassion, communication, understanding and willingness to work with someone with extreme physical pain that I do. I thoroughly explained the difficulties with my right leg and hip, he has my lay on my right side for an EMG, I explain how very hard the table was I was trying to lie on, he expected me to lie still in obvious distress and pain on a plywood table practically covered with a few sheets. I'm so disgusted by this practice, I may even contact the medical board after speaking with my insurance company. Save yourself and go somewhere else. read more

This office has absolutely no clue how to fill out FMLA paperwork. FMLA is necessary in order to keep my job when diagnosed with a certain condition. These people NEVER get the paperwork to insurance company filled out properly 10+ times. It required me to personally come down and fill paperwork out with them. Ridiculous!!!! Her bedside manner and taking of a complete history of a patient is going to earn a big policy limits lawsuit for her and the Center for whom she is an agent, servant, and employee. I was 15 minutes early and waited on her. She walks in and says "you're here for migraines..." I started to speak and she said "you're 15 minutes past your appointment time just answer my questions," NONE OF WHICH delved into the testing I had to rule out her arrogant attempt to causation and she scribbled out two scrips and I threw them both away and told my primary never ever send me there again please. Horrific doctor with no diagnostic skill, no ability to listen to an entire history and gives out pills. The next paper she should see is pink and a big welcome to Covid-19 unemployment line. One of the worst Doctors I have ever been to. Dr Christina Chrisman is the provider I saw. I was experiencing daily debilitating migraines and was looking for help in finding what was triggering them. She had zero interest in helping find a cure, and told me "I don't know what you expect of me. I'm a medical doctor and all I can do is prescribe medications." I begged her to help me discuss what could be causing them so I could stop getting migraines, not just treat them when they occurred. She did not care about prevention, just medication. read more

I have been visiting your practice on Bell road for many years now. I have up to this point been treated with respect and dignity. Until today. I went in the female doctor who saw me, was rude, immediately on defense. Even asking a question if she had been briefed on my issues, started a condescending tone stating she was a doctor and that she asks questions. I am not a 2 year old. I am a grown man with a spine issue that was identified years ago. She claimed there was no information in her file showing I had any issues. Their was no information on my prior daily medication that did not work prior to the spine diagnosis. claimed they are all migraines and that I needed treatment for that. I disagreed with her but offered the option to try regardless of my reservations. She informed me that I was not wanting to get better. I informed her that I was willing to get better. She would not hear any of it. She cut me off regularly and basically disregarded everything I said. Most importantly the fact I was begging for a solution to my issue. Yet she continued to hammer down that I did not want to get better. Who would want to stay in pain for their whole life? that is madness. Basically I was treated like a uninformed idiot with no concept of reality. I will not be returning to your practice at Bell as a result of the disrespect that I revived during my visit. I furthermore found it to be a colossal waste of time. I feel that she was wanting my money, I needed to listen to her 100% and I just needed to accept that, and my input that is based on years of documentation and visits meant nothing in her eyes. She even proceeded to argue with me about wanting to get better after I had said I was leaving, followed me into the hallway and continued with that. I believe since she was so busy insulting me and belittling my intelligence as a person, that I should be refunded for the visit. I also want all of my medical records as soon as possible as I will not be returning to a practice that has out of control doctors that intentionally upset patients in pain.
